I made a reservation, but we waited about ten minutes to be seated because the hostess was not there, even though there were people standing around not busy- this place is TERRIBLE. I'm not sure how they are still open. They were not busy, and the food looked great, but we got our drinks after our appetizer course (it took 20 minutes for them to take our order, then the appetizers came out within ten minutes, it was another 20 minutes before we got our drinks), none of the four of us received our food/drinks, etc at the same time. Three of us were served dinner, then 20 minutes later the other of our party got his food. We had to ask for our drinks twice - we were never asked if we wanted refills. The table they seated us at was dirty with dirty silverware. We had to ask twice for them to bring us replacements. Save your money - you'd be better off eating at McDonald's.
The food we had was good but the service was so slow we ended up having to leave before our main course ever came out. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and I am not sure why everything took so long. It is a shame - we were looking forward to the rest of our food.
AMAZING SPOT FOR A DATE. We had great food and the ambiance was great
Very lovely experience will be back
We got our food late. And when we ordered dessert, we never got them. We ordered dessert around 830pm and our waitress told us it'll be ready at 9:25pm. We asked if we could just cancel because we sat there without anyone ever coming to check and see if we needed more water and whatnot. I get that waitresses are busy but we made reservation beforehand and we were excited to come. The waitress wasn't all that friendly to begin with, especially when we asked for recommendations, she said one thing and we all looked at each other like 'okay, that's all you recommend here? Only 1 dish is good? Nothing else?' my water also smelled fishy and the cup had some residue on it. I would have asked for a new cup if anyone could have checked up on us. That whole time we were there, the waitress came up to us 3 times.
It was perfect. As a vegetarian the veggie lasagna was amazing. I didn’t realize that it was underneath a hotel I had been admiring,12 midtown, but that made it even better. I will be planning more get togethers here in the future.
Allora feels like a fern bar with more expensive decor. Though having photos of the items, the tablet menus were terrible to use, the backs of all the ones at our table were covered in glue on the back (something had been pulled of them), there was no information on the daily specials (not hard to update a digital menu!), and the bar list was not available (turns out the evidently-amateur bar management is constantly running out of alcohols so they never put them on the menu).
Our server, Jade was AMAZING! Loved her energy and her knowledge of the menu.
Dining at Allora would be a convenience for the guests staying at the attached hotel, and a waste of time for local Atlanta folk. There are SOOO many better choices in Atlanta.
Nice restaurant, live band was playing Friday night when we went. Menu isn't huge, would've liked some more options but they food we did have was pretty good.
Service was excellent - attentive and had a great sense of humor! Food was meh. Super loud but it was a Friday night so I think that’s to be expected.
Great spot. Great good. Really good service. Thank you.
My bartender was amazing and provided exceptional service. My food had a bone in it and she immediately handled it and apologized asked if I wanted a replacement. This is how its supposed to be done. Thank you!
We had a table for 6 at 6pm prior to Cirque di Solei. The food was excellent. The drinks a bit pricey. The service was awful. Our waitress Eboni had not been properly trained on how to serve. She could not come up and speak to the table, she would just walk by and expect us to flag her down. Drinks took ages to come with no communication and only half the food came out with no communication about when we could expect the rest. Had to ask for water refills, a soup spoon, steak knives. All basic items she should have brought without asking. My impression is that because the gratuity was included for a party of six, she felt she didn’t have to try. I would have complained to a manager but never saw one. Cross this one off your list!
Food was overpriced for what it was. The restaurant is located inside a hotel and is catering to a captive audience.
After being seated, our waitress took a very long time to approach us. Fortunately she brought water over to the table when she finally did come by. She never asked if we wanted wine or anything else to drink. To be honest, had she asked, 3 out of 4 of us probably would have gotten some! She didn’t offer appetizers, just simply asked if we had reviewed the menu yet. When asked what the fish of the day was she said “um, I think it’s cod” - how do you not know??? And she didn’t offer how it was cooked or what came with it, nothing. Then, we asked for our check and it was wrong. She got a bit defensive about it, claiming she was tired. She never offered us dessert either. It was just overall a nothing special dinner. The food was good, had the service matched, we’d definitely come back. Such an odd experience.
Overall very nice. This was our first visit and we certainly enjoyed it. Thank you.
Food was sub par. Gnocchi was super dense and flavorless.. Tenderloin was suposed to be mid-rare and came out very well done. We were in a rush for Cirque so we just bit the bullet and ate what we could.
Our waitress Jade was amazing!!!!!! She provided excellent service and took the best care of us. We will be back.
The service was immaculate. My party and I were treated like kings and queens. I really appreciated the southern hospitality and the warmness of the location . The servers brought the food out on time and served with A1 service. This restaurant had high class individuals located there and that’s what made it all the more nice. I really enjoyed my celebrating my birthday there and I will return soon.
Food price and portions are good. Drinks are above average cost. Service was excellent. Ambience was nice.
Thanksgiving food was great. Service was friendly and attentive.
It appeared the kitchen was “in the weeds”!
Our server, Jade, did her best to keep us appraised of the situation.
She was very good!
Slow service and restaurant was not crowded at all. Food good.
First time dining here. We went for dinner prior to Cirque show. I liked the electronic menus via tablet and the $25 bottles of wine was a pleasant surprise.
Service was not great. Server took our order and said she would be back with bread, but never came. Another server brought entrees and I again asked for bread, which never arrived.
My wife had the risotto of the day, which was very good. I had the pasta carbonnara (one of my favorite pasta dishes), but this was disappointing. More like a thin cream sauce with an egg yolk on top.
Other entrees sounded very good, so may give this place one more try, but there are much better Italian restaurants in the area.
We were at Allora on a Sunday night and it was not crowded at all. Server was not very friendly and it took a long time to even get our drinks. Ordered salads, pizza and meatball appetizer. The salads were good, pizza was average and meatballs were not good at all. Very expensive for quality. Skip this and try somewhere else.
Server disappeared for long periods of time — breaks? Restaurant was moderately busy but we saw other servers walking around much more frequently than ours. Food was OK to good but cold when it finally arrived. We had show tickets so we didn’t have time to send it back. We’re giving the restaurant a second try but we’re hoping for a different server. The LSU Bama game was on at the bar, which looked like a fun place to be!
Great food, location, and value.
Try the Nan Special as an appetizer...
Something for everyone!
All I can say about this restaurant is, meh. I would never go again.
The waitress was very slow but I think the restaurant was understaffed. She had too many tables to make the service great.
The location is great if you're staying at the Marriott or catching a Cirque du Soleil event, but the staff seemed to be overwhelmed with the number of guests. We were seated by a table looking into the kitchen, so we got firsthand view of the chaos. The lights on the tables were too bright, the room noisy, and the food was adequate at best.
Obvious staffing problem. Waited one hour for main course. Unacceptable. Felt horrible for the servers that actually showed up for work the night we were there as they were in a no win position.
We booked a reservation after looking at the menu online. We were hoping to do a bottomless brunch which is advertised on the menu. They told us the online menu hasn’t been updated and wouldn’t honor. After ordering mimosas it took over 20 minutes to get them and they cost $10 for one glass. We left to go eat at another place near by
Overall, our experience was good. I took the wait staff a good while before anyone acknowledged our table... once the waitress warmed up, it all went well.
Horrible service and the food was mediocre at best.
Took my fiancé out here as we’ve been here before the renovations. I expected the service and menu to be the same, and for the most part they were. While on the way to the restaurant it was raining and as we arrived the rain stopped, so I carried my umbrella with me. For the most part we had a good dinner but on the way home I noticed I left my umbrella (an expensive Pong umbrella). I contacted them 15 mins after I left the restaurant and they couldn’t locate it. I was transferred to a name I can’t recall and he said he would call me back... I’m still waiting. Despite this after several calls, some not even asking for the description of the umbrella stated they couldn’t find it. It’s standard for someone to clean up the table right after you leave and they would have had to see it then. I’m very disappointed!
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We sat down at 6:30 and told our server that we needed to be at Cirque du Soleil and we have one hour. We only ordered entrees in the respect of time. After 45 minutes we still had no food in front of us. I asked multiple times when our food would be coming, and the server kept making excuses that she had a large party next to us. I finally went to the manager and asked when our food would be ready as my kids were starving and we were pressed for time. Our food had not even been started. She said "everyone in here is going to Cirque" and made zero apologies. Needless to say, we left right then. So we completely wasted almost an hour of time waiting and never ate dinner. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the horrible service and lack of awareness of how to serve in a reasonable timeframe.
Great food, service and all around dining experience!
Food was Meh.. nothing exciting. Really hate the tablets for the menu. It’s like ordering at an airport.
5 stars for their playlist.
Great food and service. Vanessa was our waitress, she is amazing!
Lobster minestrone, delicious!!!
Service was terrible, food was average, very expensive
My mentor and I came in for a catch up dinner. I think the set up is a little awkward because the host stand is quite hidden, and it took us a minute to find it. There's two entrances, but one is a big blocky like dungeon door that you can't tell if you can use it, or even open it because it looks so heavy. Based on the photos and aesthetic of the restaurant, I did have higher expectations in regards to ambiance and quality of service especially.
The host of that service did -not- want to be working that night, you could see and feel that. The server was okay overall, but did not check back frequently enough to collect orders, and I was becoming hangry. I did note that there were not v many guests and full tables that night, so I don't know what was going on. She would disappears for blocks of time and I just don't know.
We were trying to have a conversation, but it was football night, and I thought there were one or two TV's, but a large enough rowdy crowd came in for the bar. There was enough hollering to know that I would most likely never come back on football night when I'm trying to have a chatty dinner.
Overall, I don't intend on coming back, and I cannot recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice place to eat in Atlanta.
