First time dining here. We went for dinner prior to Cirque show. I liked the electronic menus via tablet and the $25 bottles of wine was a pleasant surprise.
Service was not great. Server took our order and said she would be back with bread, but never came. Another server brought entrees and I again asked for bread, which never arrived.
My wife had the risotto of the day, which was very good. I had the pasta carbonnara (one of my favorite pasta dishes), but this was disappointing. More like a thin cream sauce with an egg yolk on top.
Other entrees sounded very good, so may give this place one more try, but there are much better Italian restaurants in the area.
We were at Allora on a Sunday night and it was not crowded at all. Server was not very friendly and it took a long time to even get our drinks. Ordered salads, pizza and meatball appetizer. The salads were good, pizza was average and meatballs were not good at all. Very expensive for quality. Skip this and try somewhere else.
Server disappeared for long periods of time — breaks? Restaurant was moderately busy but we saw other servers walking around much more frequently than ours. Food was OK to good but cold when it finally arrived. We had show tickets so we didn’t have time to send it back. We’re giving the restaurant a second try but we’re hoping for a different server. The LSU Bama game was on at the bar, which looked like a fun place to be!
Great food, location, and value.
Try the Nan Special as an appetizer...
Something for everyone!
All I can say about this restaurant is, meh. I would never go again.
The waitress was very slow but I think the restaurant was understaffed. She had too many tables to make the service great.
The location is great if you're staying at the Marriott or catching a Cirque du Soleil event, but the staff seemed to be overwhelmed with the number of guests. We were seated by a table looking into the kitchen, so we got firsthand view of the chaos. The lights on the tables were too bright, the room noisy, and the food was adequate at best.
Obvious staffing problem. Waited one hour for main course. Unacceptable. Felt horrible for the servers that actually showed up for work the night we were there as they were in a no win position.
We booked a reservation after looking at the menu online. We were hoping to do a bottomless brunch which is advertised on the menu. They told us the online menu hasn’t been updated and wouldn’t honor. After ordering mimosas it took over 20 minutes to get them and they cost $10 for one glass. We left to go eat at another place near by
Overall, our experience was good. I took the wait staff a good while before anyone acknowledged our table... once the waitress warmed up, it all went well.
Horrible service and the food was mediocre at best.
Took my fiancé out here as we’ve been here before the renovations. I expected the service and menu to be the same, and for the most part they were. While on the way to the restaurant it was raining and as we arrived the rain stopped, so I carried my umbrella with me. For the most part we had a good dinner but on the way home I noticed I left my umbrella (an expensive Pong umbrella). I contacted them 15 mins after I left the restaurant and they couldn’t locate it. I was transferred to a name I can’t recall and he said he would call me back... I’m still waiting. Despite this after several calls, some not even asking for the description of the umbrella stated they couldn’t find it. It’s standard for someone to clean up the table right after you leave and they would have had to see it then. I’m very disappointed!
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We sat down at 6:30 and told our server that we needed to be at Cirque du Soleil and we have one hour. We only ordered entrees in the respect of time. After 45 minutes we still had no food in front of us. I asked multiple times when our food would be coming, and the server kept making excuses that she had a large party next to us. I finally went to the manager and asked when our food would be ready as my kids were starving and we were pressed for time. Our food had not even been started. She said "everyone in here is going to Cirque" and made zero apologies. Needless to say, we left right then. So we completely wasted almost an hour of time waiting and never ate dinner. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the horrible service and lack of awareness of how to serve in a reasonable timeframe.
Great food, service and all around dining experience!
Food was Meh.. nothing exciting. Really hate the tablets for the menu. It’s like ordering at an airport.
5 stars for their playlist.
Great food and service. Vanessa was our waitress, she is amazing!
Lobster minestrone, delicious!!!
Service was terrible, food was average, very expensive
My mentor and I came in for a catch up dinner. I think the set up is a little awkward because the host stand is quite hidden, and it took us a minute to find it. There's two entrances, but one is a big blocky like dungeon door that you can't tell if you can use it, or even open it because it looks so heavy. Based on the photos and aesthetic of the restaurant, I did have higher expectations in regards to ambiance and quality of service especially.
The host of that service did -not- want to be working that night, you could see and feel that. The server was okay overall, but did not check back frequently enough to collect orders, and I was becoming hangry. I did note that there were not v many guests and full tables that night, so I don't know what was going on. She would disappears for blocks of time and I just don't know.
We were trying to have a conversation, but it was football night, and I thought there were one or two TV's, but a large enough rowdy crowd came in for the bar. There was enough hollering to know that I would most likely never come back on football night when I'm trying to have a chatty dinner.
Overall, I don't intend on coming back, and I cannot recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice place to eat in Atlanta.
BEWARE! Staff and Management Customer Service was HORRIBLE!
A very nice experience
Loved the ambiance, service, band and food was average for Italian restaurant .
The food is good, albeit a bit over-priced. The service is polite but very slow. We had to ask for our check several times after sitting with our empty plates in front of us for over 20 minutes.
This place will not be here in year. No customers, bad service and awful food....just terrible.
baked Osyers were to die for
The manager Prabu was very attentive and friendly. He made our anniversary very special. We'll definitely come again!
So so food - not very cozy
Overpriced for quality of food you receive. People constantly walking through. Servers were more interested in talking to one another than serving guests. Our server came to our table with phone in hand. Overall a bad experience.
The food here is AMAZING!!! Literally everything is delicious! Vanessa our waitress was incredible and so kind. The manager is very hospitable and sweet too!
Service was excellent. Food was pretty good. It was off putting listening to ads on the speakers in between songs? Really a mood killer. Also the lights which are on the tables are too beight for how close they are to you.
Sounded like a great place and really looked forward to it. The service was non-existent, after a 15 minute wait for cocktails (and there were just 2 tables with a total of 4 of us in the room), I asked the hostess about it and she said twice "your server is outside." I wasn't sure what to do with that information. She did return and explained she was the only server and they had one bartender and had all seats taken at the bar. Eventually we got the cocktails, they did take them off. Eventually we got dinner, empty water glasses more than once, no second cocktail offered, good food, awful experience. Will not go back and do not recommend.
This was a great venue. We came as a family & it was outstanding. The food was incredible, the service impeccable & the ambience tied everything together.
great food, service is wonderful, ideal place for a date
It was dead at lunch AND the service was bad. The food was mediocre and not well priced. Also not much variety.
Maybe some light options.
Our service was great and the food was very good as well. It had a good vibe and was easy to hold a conversation at a reasonable voice level. Just think the items may have been priced a little higher but overall was good.
Our waitress is about 9 months pregnant and shouldn’t be on her feet. The service was awful, slow and not friendly. Chicken on 2 of our salads were pink. Sent back and came back still pink. Didn’t eat it. Took an hour. Slow slow slow with maybe 10 other customers. They were not busy.
The ambience of Allora was beautiful, but my pasta was lacking a tiny bit in flavor. I added more parmesan than usual to introduce a tangy, tart contrast to the dish.
Service was good but turned into a nightclub at night. If you want a quiet meal go early.
I was very disappointed by the food here. They recently changed their executive chef and so did the menu. The new menu is unimaginative to say the least. I had to return my food which was the fecctucine. The major issue was there was a strange aftertaste that left a bad taste in your mouth. They charged 2.5 per additional prawn, and I was told they were large prawn. When the food came, I saw two little sad shrimps in my food and turned out it tasted frozen. The service is amazing. But I would not order food there again unless they offer the standard and the quality they once had.
Allora is an amazing restaurant in the Atlantic Station district. We were seated immediately with a party of 10 and was given service right away. Vanessa our waitress was amazing, knew the menu and had outstanding customer service skills. Vanessa is a great representation for the Allora brand and had such a positive spirit. The managers were on the floor checking in with customers and making sure all was smooth. Amazing experience for my family and we will definitely be back.
