Great comfortable Italian restaurant in the North End! We will be back!
Lo Conte's has been a fave since the early 90's, they've maintained their excellent food, service and typical North End ambiance - A lot to be said for a restaurant that can stand the test of time. Kudos to the owners/managers -
The bruschetta was crispy and flavorful. My husband had the fettuccini with sausage and I had the butternut squash ravioli. Everything was absolutely delicious!
We had their special calamari appetizer. It was perfectly done and the marinara probably the best I have ever had. Ever. I ordered Shrimp Scampi and they gladly substituted risotto for the pasta. In fortunately my shrimp were all on the dry tough side. Flavor was good. The risotto although not meant to go with this dish had quite overpowering flavors of lemon and cheese. Probably would have been great mixed in the proper dish. My husband had sausage cacciatore. It was awesome. I would definitely give them another try. Their accommodating my wheel chair and service was I impeccable
Always great - love the food, the customer service and overall Italian easy dining!!
Easy and casual place to take your kids but overall the food was fair. My wife and ordered two of the signature dishes the waiter recommended but we both thought it was just okay.
Disappointed by the lack of valet since it was advertised, that was a frustrating way to start our evening out! Hostess was grouchy to the point of being belligerent, but in spite of all that the food was quite good and the interior of the restaurant is lovely (though LOUD!).
Had a party of 8 before a concert. Our table was ready when requested. The food and wine was great. Our server Mario was fantastic and very attentive. I would definitely go back again.
This was a fantastic meal and experience! The food was great, service top notch, and North End experience was all we asked for. The noise level was high due to two large tables behind us which were together and celebrating some kind of office function. We did not realize how loud they were until they left. It did not hurt our experience at all.
It was so incredibly loud in the restaurant that it was not only impossible to talk but an uncomfortable experience.
They desperately need sound absorption materials.
Awesome as always!!!
Tried to go one night with my girlfriend. The hostess told us a 30-40 min wait with open tables clearly in sight. Another couple walked in 5 minutes later and was immediately sat down. So we made a reservation on opentable and came back 5 minutes later, forcing her to seat us. Food was amazing, just watch out for the hostess.
I've been coming to Lo Conte's since they opened almost 30 years ago and it's remains one of my favorite restaurants in the North End. Price point is good, quality of food is excellent and the service is always on point. I highly recommend this over many of the new spots that have opened up over the years, consistently one of the best.
Delicious food, great service, and nice ambiance! Would definitely go back.
Not good. Rigoletto down the block was great!
Hours on OpenTable are wrong.
My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary and chose Lo Conte for dinner. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from the North End, quaint, charming, and inviting. The staff was excellent, and the service was quick. The food was incredible and exceeded my expectations. I was also impressed with the value of the meal. The prices were a delightful surprise, indeed! We would highly recommend this restaurant!
Highly recommend. Food always fresh, hot and delicious. My husband and I wanted meals that were not on the menu and our waiter Mario had them made for us. It was our anniversary. At the end of the meal he brought over 2 glasses of limoncello for us. The owner, Carla always pleasant and interacts with the patrons. This is our favorite restaurant in the North End. We have recommended it to may who also love it.
Great food, comfortable atmosphere. Nice to be able to fit a party of 6 in a restaurant in the North End!
Just an absolute exquisite experience. Mario could not have been kinder or more attentive. Went there on recommendation of a local friend, Mario even knew her and her husband's preferred dishes from memory and pointed them out to us. I had the lobster ravioli and it was amazing. And I need to mention the dipping sauce for the bread, which motivated all of us to eat much more bread than any of us usually would. I travel for work and eat out a lot, this was probably in my top 20 all time dining experiences. Highly recommend.
Food and service was great. Rather loud though. Will definitely go back
Went there as we didn’t want to wait an hour at La Famiglia. Food was good, wait staff was not very friendly.
An absolute must go to when in Boston seeking excellent old school Italian food. Carla, the owner, and her staff - the best. Having our rehearsal lunch here in October. Mangia!!
I have been dining here for many years and it never disappoints! The food is consistently fabulous without being pretentious. Ambiance is very warm and inviting. The value is amazing as well. Don’t miss a chance to dine at this family restaurant, it simply doesn’t get any better :).
We enjoyed this restaurant very much. The food was good and the staff was very accommodating.
Enjoyed the meal immensely. Why wait in line for La Famiglia’s when Lo Comte’s is right next door.
their kitchen seems to be happy to make your food just about any way you want it...
Food was very good. The waiter was efficient but not very friendly
Seated in the left room, the ambiance was great. The initial room was a bit louder. However, overall, great experience.
The food was good, but we felt extremely rushed. They were eager to feed us and turn over the table.
Good except there was a piece of plastic on my meal.
When my picky eater child is happy, you know it’s an awesome place
Typical North End. Okay food and overpriced.
Our waiter was very nice and ambiance was great.
Hostess was very rude and defensive when I inquired about food allergies. She seemed put off by the fact I was with three kids, all who have food allergies. Also made me walk each one of them downstairs to the bathroom due to ‘safety concerns.’
I don’t typically write restaurant reviews but when you go out for a pricey dining experience, especially with kids , I expected a lot more courtesy especially when dealing with food allergies. My question was very simple and rather than checking with the chef, she responded with “well if your daughter isn’t comfortable with the food, then she shouldn’t eat it!” Unbelievable.
It was a perfect spot for a group dining experience.
The service, food, drink, and atmosphere was excellent! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience!!
We were visiting from GA, and a friend recommended this restaurant to us. The ambiance was bright and loud and not at all what we were expecting. The food was fine. The service was a little slow. There are so many restaurants to choose from in the North End-this one did not blow me away.
This was exactly what we wanted - authentic Italian food in the North End. YUM
The good was excellent! Everyone enjoyed dinner and the service was fantastic. We will visit again fir sure
ATMOSPHERE: We got there late afternoon (4:30 or so), and again, we loved it. The lighting was perfect, the music was quiet, and everything was nice.
STAFF: Our waiter was super! He was very friendly, totally customer focused. Al the members of my family thought he was great! Quick service, attentive, and didn't make a mistake. He was GREAT!
FOOD: Just like last time, we got huge portions of very tasty food! Again, I got the Cioppino and an Italian beer (Peroni). The Peroni and the San Benedetto sparkling water were ice cold (and the beer again came with a frosty mug).
-Salad: Fresh salad (crisp perfect vegetables), and the house Italian salad dressing was excellent!
-My wife got the Ravioli, which she enjoyed, and we all sampled it (loved it!) And my daughter again got the Chicken Parm (good), and my son (who is a vegetarian) got the Tortellini Pesto - he loved it! And like last time, the Chardonnay wine my wife got was super!
The prices: Well, it did add up fast. Certainly not cheap, but the great quality food made it pretty much worthwhile! Recommended!
Three for dinner with the dual goal of good food and good conversation. LoConte’s delivered. We left satisfied not overstuffed and can’t wait to return!
Always accommodating. The best service and most delish food in the North End!
