We were so happy that we made a reservation! The service was excellent and the food was very good. We were a party of 5 and all enjoyed their meals. I will definitely go back!
Pasta dinner before the Boston Marathon. We had a private room! Thank you!
A little noisy. Service was perfect. The food was served very fast.
Great food great service
Always a great meal at a fair price.
My favorite North End restaurant for 20 years! Excellent food and service!
Great food in a great location. This was my second time back (visiting Boston from the UK) and this time I brought some friends. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their food! Will definitely be back!
Food and service was great! Would definitely go back next time I’m in Boston
Always fantastic food when we go there. One of the last family owned restaurants in the North End and it feels like it.... Highly recommend it.
Our server Mario was very attentive and efficient. Everything was wonderful.
The food was delicious, the server's were excellent. The hostess could use some people skills.
Chicken Maranga may very well be the best pasta dish I have ever had.
The restaurant was loud and busy, but with our reservation we were able to be seated immediately which was amazing. The waiter promptly brought over a carafe of water for us which filled 3 of our glasses and we had to flag him down after a few minutes to get another carafe. The appetizers looked delicious so we order three (Rice Balls, Fried Mozzerella, and Bruschetta). The portions were generous and the Mozzerella and Bruschetta was very good, but the Rice Balls lacked flavor.
When we ordered our entrees the waiter tried to speed up our ordering, as a result coming across rude.
My daughter ordered the Veal Parmesan which was over cooked and tough, my son ordered the Gnocchi with a Bolognese Sauce (in my opinion the gnocchi was too stiff indicating too much flour was added when being made) and the sauce was just OK. My wife ordered a shrimp dish which she enjoyed, and I ordered the chicken parm which was just OK.
Wine selection was decent and the pricing appeared very reasonable with a good selection in the $40 range.
All in all it was a nice night out in the North End and we may return to Lo Compte some day, but not on a Sat night.
LoContes is always my number one destination when friends are in town and ask to go to the North End. I have been going here for years and have always had an excellent meal. I think it is one of the best Italian restaurant in Boston.
Delicious Italian food for a good price. This is usually our first choice when going out to eat in the North End.
It again was wonderful. We especially enjoy the bread dip. Caesar salad great ! Also the off site parking worked out really well. Knowing that there was a place to park within a short walk; Priceless !!
Excellent food ..... never disappoints - yummy!
Great pasta! The fried artichokes were amazing and the arancini's were delicious. We had the best time with our waiter, who was super personable and carried a chair across the restaurant for our last minute addition. He recommended some great wines as well. Solid Italian food, portions were fairly large but not ridiculous like they can sometimes get. I also recommend the muscles.
Had the seafood pasta. It was excellent and a generous portion. Service was great. Hostess was very nice.
We had 2 people waiting on us a d it was still slow service. We sat for 15mins before someone came over. We order wine recommended by the waiter and it was very good. The bread took 30 mins to arrive wirhout the bread oil which took another 10mins to arrive. I ordered the chicken parm, and it was not good. If you claim to be an italian restaurant in the north end you cant mess up the chicken parm. The chicken was chewy and i could not eat it. My wife's plate was actually very good and good flavor but over all i would not go there again.
Over priced drinks with low quality. Food okay, not worth the price.
Awesome experience, great food and service!!!!
Food was great, service was great too! Waiter rushed our order for us in order to make the Celtics game on time.
The food here was outstanding! There were six of us and the service was prompt and very professional. We had such a great time and can't wait to go back!
Food was very good. Bread and oil dip too heavy spiced.
was looking for a little variety of dessert, but that's okay.
entrees were delicious and good serving size.
salads could have been presented better with more variety and
need choices of dressing for the house salad.
Great food. Cool place. Enjoyed our night.
Food was average North End fare. They work hard to get the food to you from the kitchen quickly. The place was buzzing and obviously has a following. I liked our appetizers better than my entree. It was good but I expected more. It struck me as expensive for what we got. We weren't rushed but our waiter removed plates of those who finished their meal before others had finished which I always feel sends a message to the slower eaters to get a move on. I'm sure he felt he was helping by clearing the table for us. We enjoyed the meal and our experience but when I next go back to the North End I'll probably try a different place.
First the good, OT reservation honored spot on. The bad, had to ask for bread, once we ordered waiter was scarce. Food ok, could have been warmer, but with the scarce waiter I guess that makes sense.
Authentic, Super Food. Super Nice. Family Restaurant
Excellent food, service and ambiance!!
Celebrating my daughters birthday, this is her top choice every year. If you have not tried this restaurant you are missing out.
Only place to go in the North End. Delicious food, large portions, and great appetizers. Perfect for dinner before a Bruins Game
Always happy with the food and experience here! New Year’s Eve was no exception!! Love the charm of the North End and this hidden gem in the North End!
We went with a group of 6 for New Year's Eve and had a blast. Great wine, great food, servers didn't rush us to order...group favorites were the Bolognese, the pesto tortellini and the salmon. We'll be back!
Good food very loud in the room. Conversations difficult space very constrained by proximity of adjacent tables
We made a reservation but it was not initially recognized. It seemed like more of a nuisance for them to serve us then seeing us as valuable customers. Food was ok but service was lacking. Food came out cold and our daughters food came out 15 minutes later without an apology.
Great family restaurant.
Friends Christmas dinner
We have been to Lo Contes many times and have always had a great experience. We brought some friends this time who are world travelers. They thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience, the staff and the location,
Food was mediocre at best, Calamari was cold and bland, Meals were below average, Not much flavor. We were stuffed in a corner by the door that opened every 10 seconds and it was freezing cold. There are a lot of places in the north end and I find it hard to understand how this place survives , I wouldn’t go back
