The food was very good and so was the service. The dining area was small and crowded , so louder than we like.
The decor was not as elegant as you would expect with $30 to $45 entrees and $14 for a glass of wine.
Small and quaint environment. Attentive and courteous staff. Wine, app, dinner, desert and coffee all fabulous.
We loved the Llama! I picked this place to take my husband for his birthday dinner. We had the Tallarines Verdes with pork belly and steak and it was amazing. Great atmosphere and great service. Be sure to make your reservation!
One of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Florida. Exceptional food and great cozy ambiance.
Service was exceptional. Food is always excellent, unique in presentation, delicious and sizable portions afforded.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Beautiful presentation, delightful service, and every item we ordered was seasoned and flavored to perfection. Would (and will!) recommend Llama to everyone!
If you looking for authentic quality food this is a great place to go.
Llama was such a good choice for dinner. We are not from St. Augustine and had lots of options to go through. We made the right choice. The food was excellent - we both had the rack of lamb. The wine was a 93 rated Wine Spectator Red from Spain that does not have a wide circulation and it was extremely well priced in the $40's. The aspect that made the dinner unique was the enthusiasm of the wait staff. They were just great -- you could see they liked their jobs and wanted to make it an enjoyable evening for the customers. We loved this restaurant -- would highly recommend it!!!!
Experience started a little bit bumpy when we had to switch tables due to a reservation mixed up and it took a little bit for us to anyone to take our drink order . However I still had to give it five stars because the staff was extremely apologetic and once our service we Began it was phenomenal till the minute we walked out the door. The ambience is adorable and while the restaurant is quite the noise is not overpowering despite its small size. The food is impeccable creative and delicious he will not be disappointed.
The service was excellent. There were two waiters on the floor who worked very well together. The food was excellent! It is a small place so you do need reservations.
We celebrated a retirement for our cousin . Did not recognize anything on menu but asked recommendations and wasn’t disappointed. First course for appetizers was yuca with an incredible sauce. One person had quinotto which was incredible( she had it with seafood) . The second had chefs special. I had rack of lamb and our last person had the pasta dish which was so amazing. Will definitely be back. Forgot to mention the unbelievable desserts. Highly recommend you make reservations for this gem.
The food was authentic Peruvian, delicious, and satisfying. The service was excellent as well. It should be included in every visit to St. Augustine.
Service, ambience, and food were all top shelf. It was a bit noisy because the place was full but we didn’t mind. We enjoyed everything but the check at the end of the night, ouch. About $100 per person with wine.
Excellent dining experience in every way. Highly recommend this gem
The food and service were amazing!!! We had the pulpo for appetizer and mar y Tierra for dinner and the everything was excellent! Also, I highly recommend the alfajores for desert.
Food was great. Drinks were good.
Excellent dinner in a quaint setting.
The food was delicious. It was nice to try new flavors. Food presentation was top notch. Enjoyed the palate cleanser between our appetizer and entrees. We had the Ceviche Lima appetizer and my wife enjoyed the Lamb entree while I had the Paiche. We finished up with the custard with spun sugar on top. YUM!!!
The service was exceptional!
Great food w great presentation and fantastic wait staff
This experience was incredible. The salmon ceviche, octopus, chef special spinach pork belly pasta, and dulce cookies were wonderful. Incredible tastes and so different than what I’ve ever had before. Great experience!
Wonderful wine, outstanding food! I had the cerviche Lima, which is my favorite app! I had the lamb dish and it was tender and delish! The roasted potatoes on the side were yummy! Hubby had the fish special and he said it was the best fish he ever had especially with the provided sauce!
We shared the dessert with the spun sugar and of course it was lovely!
Absolutely the best restaurant in the St Augustine area! Small intimate and a whole lotta love put into those dishes.
A must do.
It was the best meal I’ve had in St. Augustine. However the ambiance was a bit lacking. The meal though was exceptional.
Interesting food. Great service. Room is small and very noisy.
A must try if you are in St. Augustine. This place is leagues beyond any other culinary experience in 100 square miles
As always, excellent! The best restaurant and experience in St Augustine.
The Llama Restaurant is one of our top 5 in Saint Augustine. The food is excellent and creative. Service is outstanding and the dining room is full of character. If you would like a real treat this is the place to go.
Wonderful food-unique tastes-great service-intimate atmosphere
It was our first time dining at llamas and it was for my wife’s birthday. We did not like our table situation but because the restaurant is very small we made it work. By the end of dinner we actually liked our table location because it was in the middle of all the action.
Ceviche appetizer was outstanding. Octopus was served cold and we prefer a warm octopus entrée so it was not our favorite but still good. Beef hearts were tasty but we both agreed we would not order them again. We also had a delicious bottle of red wine that they decanted for us.
We had the surf and turf entrée and it was amazing. Highly recommend. We also ordered the Arapaima fish entree. Exquisite!
They brought out a birthday dessert for my wife it was delicious and we also ordered the deconstructed crème brûlée. Wow is all I can say.
Absolutely amazing meal and service! Our new favorite restaurant in St Augustine! Each dish was beautifully presented and superbly executed. We are deeply blessed to have such a creative chef in our beloved city!!
Small intimate dining room and highly knowledgeable staff. Small menu, but everything ordered was excellent.
Living in the Miami area; we have dined at a few Peruvian restaurants, but Llama in St Augustine was still it's own unique Peruvian cuisine experience.
Amazing food experience. Very nice small place. Chef is genius.
I enjoy there attentive staff! So gracious and welcoming. The food is always primo! They took great care in educating us on our food selection to ensure we had the best dining experience possible. You will never go wrong dining at this establishment. Reservations are a must walk-ins are almost a myth due to rare cancellations of reservations.
Amazing! Wonderful! Phenomenal meal
Amazing food!! Intimate atmosphere and great service!
WOW! WOW! WOW! This wasn’t a meal, it was an intimate experience. We were treated like a familiar friend even though we had never been there. George was fabulous at educating us & answering our many questions about the culinary offerings. Food was indescribably phenomenal! I was transported to Peru. I cannot recommend the Llama Restaurant enough! Thank you for everything. We will be back again & again! Well done! 👍
Celebrated our 5th anniversary and once again Llama did not disappoint in the least! It’s our tradition to have dinner here, 5 years of delightful cuisine that never ceases to amaze. Chef Marcel and his team are so attentive to detail, we never felt rushed despite it being a very busy evening. From anticuchos and mango ceviche, to lomo saltado and desserts, the tastes were divine! We’ll continue the tradition and look forward to our next reservation!!
This was an eating experience. Our first time eating Puruvian food. What a pleasant surprise. The octopus was grand. The salmon was grand. The lamb was perfect. The barramundi was perfect. The Black tears Malbec was a perfect match. Our service and wait attention was great.
We shall return when in the area. Thanks for a great meal.
