Llama Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This is my third time here now and it just doesn’t get old. The place is adorable and just the perfect size (not over crowded).
The food and drinks are incredibly thought out. Service was super as always, our favorite waitress (Anastasia) is always very friendly and informative.
Llama is an experience not just a meal. The staff is fantastic, the atmosphere warm and inviting and the food is creative and incredibly delicious. The octopus starter (pulpo) is a must order. Also, the mache is excellent. We had a spun sugar topped custard for dessert that we gave in a took a photo of because it was so beautiful. Dining at Llama begs for u to take you time, savor each bite and enjoy the eclectic Peruvian cuisine they serve with detail and flair. We always look forward to dining there as a couple or when guests come to town. It is a great way to make an excellent impression on people without worrying that the food won't be perfect--it always is!!! And the upscale but casual atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy yourself .
Never been to Peru, but on our first visit to Llama we sat next to a Peruvian couple who had just happened upon the restaurant who vouched for the authenticity of the food. It was delicious and unique, and plated with artistic flair. Don’t miss the desserts!
This was a long overdue first visit to see what was earning all the great reviews. Now we know. It is “all of the above”. Cozy setting, fun and knowledge staff, timely but not rushed service, creative and tasty offerings well presented. Embrace the adventure!
We enjoyed a phenomenal meal at Llama to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Chef’s creative approach to Peruvian dishes is beyond impressive - it’s also a lot of fun. The cozy restaurant is lovely, the staff are attentive and kind, and the dishes will cause you to make your next reservation before you leave the table!
Prices are very high, I’ve been to many Peruvian restaurants and by far this is the most expensive. The menu offered very little variety and the servers didn’t speak spanish and don’t understand Peruvian food when asked. For the price I was expecting authenticity.
I spend my travel time as an adult seeking flavors that remind me of my childhood. This was one of those places that offered the cozy beautiful experience and flavors of growing up. Vibrant, well balanced, soulful home cooked meals with a level of elegance to satisfy all foodies. Nothing was overlooked in presentation, preparation or ambiance.
Disappointing! There are simply far too many tables crammed into too small a space. With reservations made a week in advance we were directed to a small table right at the front door. Minutes later the next couple was directed to a much better table for 4. We were told the "system" handles table assignments. We walked out--& won't return. At these prices we expect a better ambiance & better treatment.
What a wonderful dining experience. The food was prepared perfectly and served beautifully along with being delicious. The service was on point. Our waitress was there when we needed her but never hoovering. We really enjoyed eating at Llama and plan to do so again soon. I highly recommend you make a reservation as the restaurant is small.
Small and cozy, intimate setting with lovely service. Fish wrapped in banana leaves with passionfruit sauce was amazing, as was the ceviche appetizer. Wish you could order the sangria that is only available as a small freebie (shotglass size) but delicious enough for a full size glassful. Nice presentation...didn't have room for dessert but the coffee at the next table was getting rave reviews, next time!
Excellent! 2nd time to this special little restaurant outside of St. Augustine. Very original Peruvian food. All the food is very fresh and the presentation is very creative. Would drive out of the way to eat here! Our server was also so attentive and professional. Love!
Food, service and ambiance were wonderful, as always. Very creative menu artfully prepared and presented.
If I had one wish, I would like a more varied wine list. No domestic wines, specifically California, Oregon and Washington. I realize this is a Peruvian restaurant, however, other countries were represented. This is merely a suggestion and not a complaint.
