Excellent food . Presentation was very appealing. The tastes and textures were marvellous. This is one of those promised culinary experiences that absolutely doesn’t disappoint
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. It was our first visit to Llama...what an amazing experience! The food was very creative and delicious. We will definitely return soon!!
Checked out Llama for the first time with friends. We all drove from Jacksonville and boy, was it worth it! The place is small, quaint and beautiful. The servers and server assistant were kind and knowledgeable. Anna was our main server, always delightful and attentive. The dishes were more like flavorful art pieces, inspiring us to bolt to Peru and explore asap! Their chicha morada is to die for and please, do yourself a favor and save room for dessert - I’m still drooling over the amazing custard. Congrats to the chef and team for this beautiful Saint Augustine gem. We left impressed and will be back soon! Thank you!
In our neighborhood. Elegant, intimate, exotic and delicious. Mango ceviche! Paiche - perfectly done fish wrapped in a plantain leaf....Eclectic a d unique.
Love the overall dining experience!!! Food and service was outstanding!! I would definitely return to try more dishes!!!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend llama as one of the top 5 places to eat in St Augustine. Limited menu, but for us it provided enough options
This place is AMAZING! Everything was just perfect. Tried things I had never had, and was NOT disappointed.
Will go back again.
We enjoyed everything about Llama. Seated on time. Excellent service. Food was as beautiful as it was delicious. We were treated to a Pomerosa which was to die for. Ceviche appetizer is not to miss. My husband had the Paiche and he is still talking about it. The Mar Y Tierra was divine and almost too much to finish, though I refused to waste a bite. Finished with a vegan dessert that you would never know was vegan. Heavy wine pours made it even better. We would say Llama is one of the best restaurants in the state!
It was much more than a meal. It was an experience! Excellent everything. Very intimate. Do Not skip dessert!
The food is fresh and good taste
The service was A+
We had heard people raving about Llama so we finally made a reservation and you can add me to the list of fans! The restaurant is small (about 8 tables) and reservations are a must (we saw them have to turn a group away because they were booked solid). The ceviche appetizer was incredible. Be sure to order the Flower Bomb from the drink menu. We each ordered something different and we all loved our meals! The passion fruit sauce that comes with the Paiche fish entree was good enough to drink! Definitely going back!
Excellent every time! Service is great, dishes are delicious and creative.
Love love love
The food was great! The service was great! I will definitely recommend Llama to all my friends.
We loved it. Compliments to the chef, food is very authentic.
My wife and I both loved Llama and will definitely return. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine: Alta Pavina Citius Pinot Noir. Our food was incredible: Lomo and Costilla Seco. An instant favorite!
We enjoyed our meal and our waiter. We have visited Peru and Llama offers an excellent example of true Peruvian flavors. We shared a creviche appetizer and enjoyed it. I had the hanger steak with vegetables, potatoes and rice (Lomo) and it was excellent. My wife had the hanger steak with shrimp and pasta. It was also excellent.
What an awesome find in Saint Augustine! We had the Paiche and the braised short rib (they were actually using beef shoulder that night which was fine) and both were AWESOME. We also had mango ceviche as an appetizer which had just the right amount of heat and was very refreshing.
The service was top notch! The restaurant is fairly small, only 10-12 tables so reservations are probably a good idea.
A hidden gem away from historic downtown St Augustine. We were blown away from the authentic and wonderful Peruvian cuisine. We have travelled to Peru so can vouch for the terrific food served here. The ambiance is store front and casual, they serve only wine, but no complaints about the great evening we had.
Restaurant had good reviews so we wanted to go. The only reservation was for 5:15p...really early for us but we wanted to experience. First ones there...miserable weather. We were seated at the door and asked to be seated at another table away from the door. The answer was no...a big party was coming. We ordered drinks and appetizers. We had just gotten the drinks when the appetizers came...and then the entrees soon there after. We felt very rushed. in the meantime another couple came in and was positioned next to us but asked to be seated away from the door. They were immediately seated away from the door. We finally got the waiter's attention to order wine. I was really annoyed and decided to take our time eating despite the rush.
Food was cold and unimaginative. Ceviche was good! We stayed until 7:15p. There were still tables available.
Excellent service, combined with an outstanding Peruvian menu! Wait staff knowledgable of menu and food explanations. Dishes are unusual in ingredients and presentation is lovely.
Do make a reservation, as seating area is small. They provide ample time for dining, never rushed. We have dined here twice now and will be returning to try more entrees!
Everything is delicious, insightful, and creative. Service was impeccable. This is now my all time favorite restaurant. Yes it was that good!
Amazing food, Period! Really well done and the presentation and service were also excellent!
Quaint small restaurant with great service. First time having Peruvian food but no stranger to Hispanic foods. The food was tasty, the service was very good. Generous pours on the wine. A little unusual that a nicer restaurant does not have a restroom connected to the dinning area. Meaning you have to walk outside around the building alongside the parking lot and enter through the rear. Not so bad for a man but for a lady to have to walk outside in the rain is just not right.
I think the service was the best part. Anna was our waitress. We also loved the ceviche. All the food was presented in a delightful manner. Dishes cooked with soy sauce were overly salty. Prices are expensive. Good wine list. You can park beside the building.
Having been to Peru we found the food to be very authentic. The Lomo steak was very good, especially when included with the surf and turf. Wine was good and reasonable.
An exceptional, relatively new restaurant serving food in a Peruvian style. Our three different meals were all excellent ... prepared perfectly and presented in a novel style that was presumably Peruvian. Wine and drink prices were very reasonable. The food was slightly more expensive than most high end restaurants, but given that each meal is individually prepared and presented, I think the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone searching for something new and/or unusual.
As always llama never fails and makes the most amazing food. I love how quaint the diner is and that they take reservations. I highly recommend this place if your looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine!
Limited menu with no fresh fish choices. Also limited side items. Would have been nice to have had some type of sauce for the side of yuca as most Peruvian restaurants do. Overall the food was very good and portions were surprisingly large. Will give it another try when we are in the area.
This little taste of Peru in a intimate space was perfect. From the chichamosa to the anticuchos to the landscape themed desserts, the food feels intentional and tastes so rich. I already am excited about going back.
This was an incredible dining experience! Our server was SO patient with our general Peruvian food ignorance, and we thoroughly enjoyed all our choices - thank you so much, and I will be back👍‼️
Best restaurant in St Augustine. Food, wine, service are all A+. And the most unique combination of flavors I have ever had.
Our entire experience was wonderful start to finish. The restaurant is nice and small so the ambiance is lovely. We went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was fully reserved so make a reservation. Everyone we encountered was so nice. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. The food itself it quit hardly and rustic, really delicious. Many of the options are very different from each other so get 2 and share. The wine list stays true to South America which we enjoy. That night they gave us a free shot of a local favorite drink which was nice. Great for a date night.
Delicious Peruvian food served from different regions of the country. Very elegantly presented and seasoned well!
By far my favorite spot in town. Worth every penny. Outstanding.
The flavor profiles and plating were superb. I had the charred fish with passion fruit & lime beurre blanc - all can say is, wow! The polenta with coconut cream dessert was light and delicious. I will definitely be back again.
Food was outstanding and the service was great. Will definitely go again.
Was excited to book table however once seated & discovered No pisco was disappointed. The disappointment did not stop there...... ceviche was plated beautifully however was not so tender!! My husbands beef was tough as well....not only in texture but challenging to cut in bowl it was served in. We decided against even ordering dessert!! We’ve been to Peru & the food is fabulous there! Our experience at the Llama restaurant did Not reflect fabulous.
Food was amazing, service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely visit again!
Llama was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. I've been telling everyone they need to go and experience it for themselves. I can't wait to eat there again.
