One of the best places I’ve ever eaten at. Food was excellent and service outstanding.
We will retunr on our next visit to St. Augustine. We dined 2 nights only issue was noise level on Friday night - small space restaurant with small tables.
Ceviche is superb...the fish entre dish not so much. The shoulder roast was outstanding. The Algarrobina custard dessert was divine. We enjoyed this fun little place and will go back. You have to make reservations because there are only 10 tables.
It was a wonderful end to a great vacation. Very unique offerings. Menu selection was limited, but maybe that was by design because the food they put out from scratch is spectacular.
Never ever disappoints... the flavors and textures are amazing! You cannot go wrong ordering anything on the menu! Julia our server is the best, professional but fun and informative. The wine list is fantastic and reasonably priced.
As usual the food was excellent in all respects. Taste presentation freshness, from appetizer through the entry to the desserts and wine. . The staff is well-trained and courteous pays attention to every detail to make it a fine dining experience. The Llama is a unique gem in Saint Augustine. Make your reservation and go.
The food, atmosphere and service was amazing! We will be back!
Excellent food and service. Small restaurant, recommend reservations or you are likely to wait a long time.
Fabulous food with great unusual spices. Excellent service.
Fabulous food and service!
This was our third time at Llama and we've already booked our fourth. The food, service, presentation and wine selections were outstanding. We enjoyed a "regular" dinner on our first visit, which compelled us to return for both a 6-course and a 13-course tasting with wine pairings on subsequent visits. It was an experience you won't find anywhere else!! In addition, the chef and most of the staff was the same that served us almost a year ago. That speaks volumes for this restaurant.
Wonderful, eclectic experience, in a cozy dining atmosphere. The banana-wrapped fish, the braised ribs, and octopus appetizer were all exquisite. Service was attentive, pleasant, and on point. A definite must-do experience in St. Augustine.
We went for our anniversary and had a great dinner with excellent service. We will definitely go back and recommend to anyone else.
Very unprofessional very disappointing I won’t be going back there
This is the third time we have eaten there. The food and service was excellent. We enjoyed it very much.
Unique menu and the food was beautifully presented. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the cuisine.
Excellent food that is hard to duplicate at home. Service is always wonderful.
The Llama was a great experience. Food is exquisitely prepared and presented. We loved it!
We have now been here twice and it’s better every time. This place never disappoints. The staff make the whole experience even better. If you miss this restaurant in St. Augustine you have really missed out. Reservations at least two weeks in advance are necessary.
OMG! This was some of the finest, most innovative food I have ever had! Knowing nothing about Peruvian food and no more than this restaurants great reputation, I set out for an eating adventure and it truly delivered. The food was excellent from the appetizers to the desserts. I ate practically nothing I recognized but loved it all for its great taste and beautiful plating. It is obvious that the chef—and he is a chef, not a cook—loves serving his patrons the best. The service was excellent and menu items were explained in detail and suggestions were spot on. While it’s pricey, I thought it was well worth it. This is the kind of food you find in NYC, Chicago, or San Francisco. Who would have thought little old St Augustine would be blessed with such a fine din8ng experience. Go here if you’re up for a truly excellent meal full of dishes you never knew existed!
Went here for our anniversary dinner, it absolutely did not disappoint!! Will definitely be back.
Wonderful experience, small but bright gem in a old world town.
We were very excited to find that there was a Peruvian restaurant so close to home. We were deeply disappointed in the lack of Peruvian flavor imparted in the dishes. Fish, plaintains and yucca were overcooked and dry, Lomo Saltado was drenched in what would closely resemble teriyaki sauce . Beautiful plating , Unfortunate all of the effort went to that and not to the flavor of the food .
Amazing! Best, most exciting meal ever!!! Don't miss the octopus. I didn't even think I liked octopus until I tasted Llama's. Everything was an experience not to be missed.
Fantastic meal prep and presentation, matches the flavor. Small setting Maybe 12-14 tables, reservations a must and not same day, usually 4 days out, I think they set twice a night. Very well done inside, but if there is a loud party, it can effect others. Do not be those loud people who feel you are the only ones in the place. we loved the team of chef to servers, take a chance on the menu, you will love it.
Authentic, fresh and worth the trip. Service was professional and friendly and even included shots of fresh cranberry prosecco on the house.
The food was creative and delicious. Although initially disappointed that my first choice entree wasn't available, plan B (fish served with a delectable passion-fruit sauce) was beautifully presented and so tasty that I was happy about the re-set. Attentive service, a wonderful mimosa appertif, new taste sensations. We loved it and will return!
Amazing food, best I have had in Florida!
Service was great, food was amazing, presentation was creative and beautiful. This was our second visit, we will be back.
The noise level, with a full house, was almost unbearable, horrible, unsettling. I wish something can be done about that. Everything else was excellent.
Poor service. Our meal was very slow and waitress was inattentive.
Everything was wonderful and we love this restaurant!
This restaurant is small and intimate - I suggest you make a reservation in advance. The food & flavors are BIG, worth the price. Wow, don't leave w/o trying the ceviche - we had as an appetizer. We were a party of three and every entrée was better than the one before. Also, they have a good wine list. I will definitely return on my next trip to St. Augustine.
Outstanding service, excellent and interesting dishes, in a small quiet and pleasant restaurant.
Nice freshly prepared food with exotic menu. A new experience and a fun night
My fiance and I met up with one of my childhood friends, who had never tried the Llama before. Both of us are tried and true Llama patrons and are absolutely in love with this restaurant and had to share. The compliments never ended. We all loved the quaint space of the restaurant and the cute llama 'Easter eggs' all throughout. The drinks and food were excellent. We are going to order the pitcher of the Chicha to share instead of just having one glass. I had the Zeta Capchi. Chef Marcel and his colleagues have made mushrooms and greens an elegant and elevated dish. We are definitely going to return; to reorder our favorites and to try whatever new items the Llama has to offer!
One of our favorite restaurant in St Augustine. Very intimate. Service is really terrific. But it’s all about the food and it is authentic and delicious. The Arapima, a fresh water fish from the Amazon River, baked wrapped in plantain leaves is perhaps the best fish dish I’ve ever had. Deserts are amazing. Hard to get reservations.
The entire staff is lovely and attentive. The food was superb including the best ceviche I have ever had. Small and intimate surroundings which is my preference.
Despite its excellent reputation Llama far exceeded expectations. The service was as if the Vizcarra family invited us as guests to their home. From appetizer through desert each course was delivered with uniquely polished presentation, and from first to last bite one tries to slow down time to savor the refined depth of flavor and exquisite complexity of the experience. We shared Ceviche Lima for the appetizer, entries Mar Y Tierra & Parihuela, desserts Algarrobina custard and Andean chocolate mousse. We've been to several five star restaurants with excellent quality food, but this one deserves an extra star.
Birthday dinner celebration. The food was excellent.
