Lizzy's Tequila Bar & Grill
The service was very good and the food was ok. This place is your typical tourist eatery. What we liked most is the variety of foods offered. Husband didn't care for it, but I would go back. Great place for lunch.
Our server was very inattentive, and it took far too long for him to even come over for our drink order. The food took a while to come out, and when it did one of the meals was wrong. Our server was MIA, and we finally requested that the manager come over. The manager handled the situation well and seemed to genuinely appreciate our feedback. He did rectify the situation.
Great selections. Variety for children and adults. Nice drink specials and very affordable!
Amazing unique food great service love the location
We visited Lizzy's on Sunday 8-11. It was awesome! We were very pleased with the food and the service we got from Michael our waiter. We were in town for 3 days and just had to go a second time before we left. Again had Michael as our waiter and we felt at home. All the food was great again. If you like tequila and Mexican food it is a must.
Lizzy's has the best nachos I've ever had, and the Skinny Margarita was super yummy. I will be back for sure.
Service was slow, despite the restaurant not being that busy. Server didn’t check back with us very often. Server gave an incorrect description of a dessert, therefore wasting my time and money. Would look for a different restaurant next visit to Savannah.
Not too shabby
Poor quality of Food...was told "the Kitchen is Slammed..." had tot wait for food.
Excellent service! Excellent food!
I went here with a bachelorette group. We made a reservation for 9 people around 8pm. We chose this restaurant for the live music, the hostess sat us upstairs away from the music.?? The restaurant was not busy or full... It took several minutes to get service, so we were ready to order food when the waitress came to get our drinks. She almost forgot to get the Bride’s order lol.. and one other persons as well. We ordered one appetizer (chips and dip). They brought out one basket of chips... for 9 hungry girls. We asked for more and didn’t get it until everyone’s food came out. A few drink orders were messed up but the waitress was nice and fixed them. Everyone’s food came out except for the brides and the other person (turns out she never put in those orders) so it took about 15 more mins to get those orders. A side item was also forgotten about and was brought out for the guest after everyone was finished eating. The food was average. The waitress never gave us silverware so we had to ask a worker walking by a couple times. Finally we were done eating and wanted some more drinks. It took a very long time our waitress to come back so that we could get our checks and enjoy the night. We were scared to even witness the cluster that was about to happen with the checks. One guest wanted to pay for the brides meal. The waitress gave her two separate checks instead of 1. Also she put a random drink and the appetizer on a separate check alone. It was awkward. No one wanted to pick it up—why she wouldn’t just split it between everyone was beyond me. Anyway, what was supposed to be a fun-filled and joyous dinner, turned out to be a “let’s get our checks and get out of here as soon as possible.”
The food was really good, and loved the atmosphere of the middle balcony on a Saturday night. Service was horrible, she was nice but not attentive and barely checked in on us. Didn’t ask if we wanted anything else to drink, just gave us water and barely refilled it. We felt rushed with ordering as well. The hostesses were really helpful and nice though.
Nice place for a lunch. Traditional Mexican. Very good beef tacos, homemade salsa, rice and beans. Very good friendly staff.
Great food, great drinks, great service! I would totally go back again.
Food was good but not memorable, and my boyfriend’s was slightly cold, and the service was fine. There was just no WOW factor about this place that would draw me back. Hats off to the musician performing that night however...he did what was probably the best cover of Piano Man I’ve ever heard.
Was served a dirty glass, no oysters, food was lackluster.
Food is very low quality
Great food and even better margaritas! Perfect location on River Street right in the middle of downtown.
We enjoyed the ambiance and the service. I ordered the crab stuffed avocado with mango, which would have been great if the avocado was fresh. Unfortunately, it was a little further down the path towards overripe, ie brown, than it should have been. I know they’re tricky but it might be safer to not have them than to send them out past their prime. It meant I left most of mine.
The food was barely warm unlike the last visit during restaurant week. Also feel that our meals were not worth $20 each for what we got. Service was less than average and not sure if there was a waitstaff shortage or what caused that. Doubtful if we will return if we cannot be guaranteed a better experience.
I am a local resident, wouldn’t recommend.
Can’t remember their name for “steak tacos” but, super bland, poor cut of meat, didn’t come with salsa unless requested. The side of black beans and rice with it was nearly spit out by my Puerto Rican friend with me, take that however you will.
The chips from the “chips and salsa” were incredibly stale. Cold. (Not even fresh out of a warmer).
Their equivalent of “onion crispers” (like super thin onion rings) was really good with their spicy ranch dip.
Their sirloin steak was also recommended to me by another friend at the table. I judged it as being cooked exactly to the desired temperature ordered.
Margarita was also recommended, which is their claim to fame anyways.
All in all, I’d not recommend to a friend based on lack of value based on menu pricing/quality.
Basic food, family friendly. Good cocktail menu.
I was here with my family for a weekend getaway. All weekend had awesome experiences at every restaurant we went to. Unfortunately this one was not great. Didn’t have patron at a tequila bar and the food was not good at all. Our queso was cold and meals did not taste good at all. Hopefully it was just a bad night but we did not enjoy it at all.
Food tasted as if it had been sitting under the warming lamps too long. Ordered side salad, came out as pieces of lettuce with fried okra on top. We'll only come back here for a quick stop at the bar as starters were ok.
Our food took quite a while to get to our table. When it finally arrived it could have been a lot warmer. When we told the waitress that my son's chicken fingers tasted like their were cooked in very old oil, she became defensive and claimed the oil had been changed 40 minutes earlier. This was at 8 pm on a Saturday night, not likely. It would also take longer than that to heat oil in a restaurant fryer.
Food was a disappointment. Oysters where very tiny. Varied from the size of a dime to a nickel. Could easily fit two oysters on a saltine cracker. Menu states avocado slices (plural). Received one skinny/raw avocado slice on top of hard rice. Having a balcony seat was our saving grace to enjoy the view. Not sure why more time wasn’t taken to provide better quality food, since the restaurant wasn’t busy.
We were looking for a place to stop prior to our city tour. This place was perfect. It was reasonably priced with various drink specials and almost next to the trolley tour spot we were scheduled to meet at for a tour.
The staff was patient and friendly and I look forward to returning. It is also child friendly.
I do also suggest reservations. You will likely wait if you opted to just drop in after 6pm if it is a busy weekend or special event weekend in town.
Onion nest was awesome
Tacos below average
Service was fine
I almost walked away from the place when I approached the hostess at the front of the restaurant. She was annoyed that I disturbed her, it appeared that she was trying she to take a nap at the host stand and was actually quite surly. In fact from my table i could see she was treating all the guests that entered in the same manner. The only change was when a friend of hers showed up to talk to her at the door. Then she seemed even more annoyed at customers as they were interrupting her conversation with her friend. I wasn't sure I would get credit for this reservation because the host stand had no computer or tablet to even mark that i showed up. Next issue was it took over 15 minutes for the server to show up at the table. I will say though that after he finally showed up he did check on things fairly often so maybe i just hit a shift change or something. Food was acceptable but nothing special. it was pretty much like anything you could get at most standard Mexican restaurant chains. With so many places in Savannah that actually seem to appreciate their guests I know I won't be back. In fact I'll probably associate this experience with the chain as a whole and will opt to not eat at other locations that I might come across in my travels
Food was over cooked and had no taste. Sent it back to the kitchen. I couldn’t believe this restaurant was participating in restaurant week. I expected more!
This is our family’s must go to restaurant while visiting Savannah. We dine there once a year while attending the Georgia Police Chiefs conference. Always good food and service.
The food was AMAZING and our server was super sweet, but the service was very slow. From getting initial orders to bringing refills and apps. I would go again, but maybe would request to sit downstairs.
The drinks are good but the food isnt. Just grab drinks at the bar and then walk across to Joe's to eat. They need to update menu and have better choices
Great location but service was terrible and the food wasn’t good, which means that the value wasn’t acceptable.
We waited over an hour for our appetizers and was told that we had 4 orders ahead of us. The server, also acting as a manager was not at all pleasant. Sitting there for an hour trying to avoid all the bugs on the window became more than we could take. We left and went to a nice restaurant called Vic’s Riverfront.
We had a party of 7 celebrating a bachelorette weekend and reserved a table at Lizzy's. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent and the frozen drinks were great....especially the Pomegranate Margarita!
Pass. Crammed 9 people at a 6 top and we had reservations for weeks. Took 45 minutes to get drinks and ran out of lime juice. Typical crappy chain
We got our requested private balcony. The server was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent.
We were in Savannah on vacation the food was incredible the wait staff was amazing we will go back when we are in Savannah again
