Lizzie's Starlight Room
Inspired by a love letter from Sir Francis Drake to Elizabeth I, her illicit paramour, our venue celebrates their alleged affair. Lizzie's is a destination for a late night tryst at a fabulous masquerade, with a studio 54' anything-goes' mentality: purity by day - freedom from scrutiny by night.
When the doors slide open on the 21th floor, above the lively warmth and historic charm below, you enter a place where hidden stories are revealed, amid majestic views of all kinds.
We got there and were told they did not have our reservation.
In our original reservation we had a party of four, we ended up with five people, the Maître D was more than happy to accommodate us. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We had a fantastic night, I would recommend the Starlight Room to anyone looking for a fun night out.
I really wanted to like this place. The drinks were very decent. No problem there, except maybe a tad weak. Service was attentive without being obtrusive, so I was pleased. The food was at best average, and that's a stretch. Don't go for the food. Nothing wrong with it - you won't become ill. Just so mediocre! The atmosphere - well, it's a club, and the DJ hadn't started yet because I was there earlier than that. So, kinda boring with nothing going on. However, a terrific view of Union Square, at the top floor of the Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel. The price was completely too high for what I had. Outrageous.
Great view. Music started on fine but go a little techno by 11
Service was slow and food was just ok. Great views, of course
Enjoy the atmosphere! Blayzz made us feel welcomed!
Need to have more servers on the floor. We waited a long time for a drink orders to be taken and served throughout the night. You're losing money!
Room gets packed and number of staff is same as when tables are mostly empty. Use a "staffing guide" to schedule according to customer highs and lows. Your service is extremely poor.
We visit often and it seems like it has gotten worse. Same problem when we were there New Years Eve and paid $400 for 2.
P.S. Have DK play more danceable music. Gets erratic at times and people stop dancing.
We were greeted by a very nice host. He was great! The only bummer was our table was next to an employee door and each time it opened it smelled like a restroom.
