Thought the cost was a little high for lunch our bill came to $90.00with tip for 3 people with one glass of wine each for 2 of the guests. The food was very good as was the service, dishes served were the pear and caramelized onion flat bread, tortalacci vodka, and crab louie salad. We sat inside but the outdoor seating looked inviting but it was a little chilly when we visited
The food was delicious. Their bread is very tasty but they don’t give you very much if it. Our server was very nice. It’s pretty loud and hard to hear at times.
Food was excellent and our server was so sweet. He checked our IDs for alcohol and noticed it was my almost friends birthday, so he brought out a free dessert. It was so nice (and delicious)!
This was our first visit to Livia. The food was excellent and the service top notch. In person in our party has a severe lactose allergy and our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with these issues. Can’t wait to return.
The food was delicious and the service was great! I had the pasta with vodka sauce and my husband had the hoisin pork chops. Both were amazing! I would definitely go back again.
Food was delicious, wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Great place for a date night! Food was very tasty. Service was great!
Wonderful food and excellent wait staff!!!
The eggplant parm and ribeye were fantastic. We had a great experience.
For some reason the bartender was our server even though there was another server assisting all the other tables around us! After having no attention nor an appetizer after 20 minutes after having placed our order I approached the bartender asking if somehow our table was "dropped". She said, "no and that the food would be arriving soon." Our appetizer did arrive after she went into the kitchen and then proceeded to advise that the one entree my guest ordered was no longer available. She advised that she was awaiting a response from the kitchen to whether they had any chicken left but they did not. Glad you advised us 20 minutes after. I actually sent them an email advising of our experience and of today no response. Sorry Livia, there are better places to dine in Elmhurst and Oak Brook.
Went to Livia for Saturday brunch with a friend. We had two different flatbreads and both were excellent. It can get a bit noisy especially if there is a group in the large room (which there was). Overall a great experience.
A resident of Elmhurst but a first time at Livia, celebrating my girlfriends birthday as noted in the reservation. You call it Energetic I call it noisy ,when the noise level is so loud that it's hard to talk across the table with you date "it's noisy" not Energetic. We enjoyed two appetizers, the Burrata was excellent also the mushroom flat bread . The entree's were less than what we expected for the price. Crab cakes ,ok, the Chicken Limone was almost tasteless. Celebration of my dates birthday they offered her a complementary dessert so we both ordered. Here selection was the Italian Donuts served with a chocolate sauce, powder sugar and a side of creme anglase ,very tasty. I ordered the caramel gelato, also very good. The dinner included a total of three drinks to the tune of $135 with tip. The complementary dessert was given to me since it was the less costly of the two, now that a classy place wouldn't you agree.
There are many other resturants in Elmhurst that are more enjoyable.
I am a customer who frequents Livia several times per month. I have only written a review once before and it was great. I rarely reserve on Open Table so I don't get the opportunity, but I wanted to write to express my disappointment in my dining experience on Thursdaay night. First of all the scheduled musician did not play because a patron was sitting in his performing spot -I mean REALLY-not one other spot to play at?
But most of all my VERY FAVORITE dish was removed from the menu . It is the SQUARE MEAL SALMON . I order that dish 3 out of 4 times that I come to Livia and I have to say that I will likely not choose Livia as a place to go nearly as often as I come. Sometimes I come with a group of 10-sometimes just 2 or 4 of us-but it is almost always because I choose the place -and for the Square Meal Salmon. My husband was disappointed when you removed pasta carbonara but you continued to make it for him. Your chef was NOT willing/able to make the Square meal for me. I instead chose the new salmon salad which I felt was dry and flavorless compared to square meal Needless to say Im sad to see it go -and will watch to see if it ever returns-Meantime Im sure you will do just fine without my patronage but its likely a once a year place for me now as opposed to 2-3 x /month
Loved everything about this place
Excellent service and value. Recommended for daily dining or special events.
Perfect for date night. Food was delicious and Megan was a Gem!
Great food ! Tasty ricotta appetizer !would go back!
i had the square meal salmon salad it was delicious! My husband had the tortellini and loved them as well.
Our service good and the dinner was fabulous!! I ask to switch out the potato’s to risotto and it was wonderful that they can change items out to make your meal experience great!!
We had a fantastic evening. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding as always. It is our favorite restaurant and it was my 13 year old daughters pick for where she wanted to celebrate. The owner always walks around and speaks with the customers and checks in on their experience.
Thrilled to have this restaurant in Elmhurst.
First time there. Food was delicious and server was great. Very enjoyable evening
Consistently great menu, food is very goood. All their restaurants are enjoyable. We love the lamg ragu and short ribs. Flat breads are yummy
Suzie our server is always very pleasant and takes great care of us every time we dine at Livia. The lamb chops melted off the bone. The chicken parmigiana and fettuccine was delicious!! Our favorite restaurant!!
Gato was amazing & the food is always outstanding !
3rd time here definitely will be my last just not impressed I’m not sure why people like it or think it’s the greatest thing but there are much better “Italian” restaurants in Elmhurst that blows this place away!!! Very generic and bland
Tasty restaurant; it “livia” up to its good reputation!
our waitress was entertaining and the food was very good. felt rushed to leave as they seemed to want to turn the tables. We arrived at 5 and by 630 they stopped filling drinks. wanted to collect the payment while i was still eating my desert. prior to that all was good.
Food was well prepared.Fresh.
Great restaurant in downtown Elmhurst! Loved everything we tried from the craft cocktails to the lamb ragu gnocchi!
Our server could not have been better!!!!. From the moment we sat down until we got up to leave. Gato was the best!!!!! Ask to be seated in his section!!!
Celebrated our anniversary at Livia on a Tuesday. Loved the half price wine option. Food is always great. We get the zucchini fritters every time we visit. We’ll be back.
Livia creates unusual combinations in their dishes. I had a gnocchi special with asparagus, corn, and black truffles. It was spectacular. The server actually brought the 'regular' gnocchi from the menu first. He quickly replaced it with the special. My boyfriend had the salmon salad. It was VERY good. The dressing was delicious and the the greens/ vegetables very fresh.
We started with the lobster bisque; it was excellent....very rich and flavorful. The arancini was also amazing...perfectly cooked, with just the right crispness!
The staff was very friendly and attentive.
The first table the hostess sat us at was right by the door and was very cold. Our server quickly offered a warmer, more cozy table.
Wonderful place and service. Roger took very good care of us and was quite helpful. The Burrata was excellent, calamari good and cheese and prosciutto plate perfect in quantities and flavors. Can't wait to go back.
food and service are very good. However they have changed their beer menu and no long offer MIller lite of Stella in bottles..its not on draft which is NOT good!!! unfortunately we only will go there when we do not wish to have a cocktail...really limits us and our entire friend group
Three drinks we tried ordering were not available. No Corona, no root beer or Dr Pepper and no grapefruit juice for a sea breeze cocktail. The food was just ok, same with the service. Chairs were uncomfortable
Great food and wonderful service.
Had dinner with my cousin for our local restaurant week and it was so good. I already liked Livia for their charcuterie skills but their burrata appetizer and Frutti de Mari entree was divine! The seafood pasta had a nice kick and we couldn’t stop eating it! It was a cold night and we were totally comforted by our four courses. The kale and squash salad was also quite good, I normally don’t need the sweetness of dried cranberries and raisins in a salad but there was just a small amount. The fried dough was super fresh and light and the perfect ending to our weeknight and catch-up session meal. Thank you!
We been here a few times now. Sometimes just a dinner for 2 and most recently with a party of 6. We’ve tried different appetizers, flatbreads and entrees each time we go. The food, drinks and service never disappoint.
I love Livia's food and overall atmosphere; however, it is very loud & busy & our table was near door and thus the exit path for everyone seated in the dining room. Next time will be sure to ask to be seated in rear or a booth.
