First time eating there. It was delicious. The calamari appetizer is amazing. For the main entree I had the lasagne and my husband had the lobster and shrimp with pasta. We would both order these again.
Sergio (I believe that was his name) was our bartender as we sat there during happy hour. He was phenomenal, he made us aware of their happy hour deal going on. He was attentive and even asked when we were splitting things if we would like them physically split. Which was so considerate and appreciative. We will definitely be going back to sit at the bar with Sergio. Great happy hour deals and great food!
Disappointed , you changed the cheese cake, was great now average to below average
The service was good as usual, but the kitchen made numerous mistakes on very simple requests. They sent out pasta with no sauce and a plate drowning in pasta water. Very atypical for this usually phenomenal italian spot.
Excellent food. The veal meatball appetizer is fantastic. Every entree is perfectly prepared.
Friendly service. Just the right amount of attention, available but not intrusive.
We’ll be back.
Food, drinks, and service were excellent, and it seemed to be a busy evening! Could not be happier with our experience.
Waitress did not bring bread. Had to ask. Had to keep reminding her I wanted glass of ice. Food my sister and brother in law had lamb chops. Everything on their plate cold. We went at 4pm no one there. How could food be cold. We took another couple out and it was a bad impression.
I was a bit disappointed this visit. We happened to get to the restaurant when it was still Happy Hour. A lot of confusion followed. The other couple with us were our guests there for the first time and the whole experience really fell flat. I’m not saying we won’t return but we won’t hurry back. Livia has some work to do in training their staff.
The service was excellent. The recommendations made by our wait staff person were spot on. With drinks the bill for four of us was just about right for a holiday lunch.
The only down check I give it, because I am hearing-impaired, is that is too ... darn ... loud. No soft surfaces I could see to mute the noise level. Perhaps that is what some people enjoy.
I just wish it had been quieter.
Not library quiet, but a noise level that doesn't challenge the noise level reduction feature of my hearing device so much.
Great salads. Very healthy kale and quinoa with blackened salmon perfectly cooked. The spicy shrimp and arugula salad was fabulous.
Great food, great service. Best old fashioned!
Great food, waitstaff got backed up and we were brought our bill without being offered dessert.
We went here one time and really enjoyed it so we went back with the same six people and had a completely different experience. We asked to move our table which was too small for six and they said they would but never came back we had three different waiters over the course of the evening and at the end at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night had a waitress come over and basically let us know in no uncertain terms that it was time to leave because we were the last of two tables there. We were constantly missing utensils, plates and glasses as well. We will not be back
The beet salad was too notch. I'd love to get the recipe.
Service was excellent...Our waitress Susie was just the right combo of attentiveness and giving us time to leisurely enjoy our dinner.
The lasagna was very tasty too. We'll definitely come back.
PS The servings are large that I made meal of my leftovers.
...the eggplant parm was perfectly crisped; the accompanying linguine pesto was fresh and bright; the tomato sauce had a good zing
...the chicken saltimbocca was a moist flavor bomb; the light broth-based sauce was a perfect foil for creamy mashed potatoes
...portion sizes just right for midday
Our servers Jasmine and Ray did their jobs well enough, though some coordination between expectations of diners and capabilities/limitation of the kitchen would be helpful. We were first told that our dessert choice was unavailable; then told the chef would do it. We reminded our server of our time constraint and were reassured it was no problem. We waited and waited and waited, finally insisting that we pay our bill. But the manager was needed to take the dessert off the bill. So we waited longer, until she came with the corrected bill AND the dessert in a carry out tin. We’ll be back but when we have more leisure to wait...
Steak and Eggs Benedict was delish. So was the shrimp Bloody.
Delicious food, excellent kids options!
We love coming to Livia. When we are hungry but not enough for a whole meal we order the steak burger. It is out of this world and the potatoes yum. We usually split this meal. other times when we come to Livia every meal is delicious. I like trying their specials. This meal was sweet potato gnocci with a cream sauce. So, so good. The customer service from the time we walk in the door until we leave is supurb. Everyone smiles and makes us feel as though we are the most important guest they have. Thank you.
REALLY NOISY...STEAK WAS OVER DONE...WAITRESS NOT VERY AVAILABLE...WE WON'T BE BACK
Great menu and ambiance.
The food and ambience were great. However, between the loud conversations around us and the piped music, it was difficult to hear one another. we asked that the piped music volume be lowered; it was but minutes later it returned to its original volume, if not louder. Perhaps a week night might be better.
We came here tonight for Small Business Saturday. After trying to decide on something new to try, I settled (again) on the Lamb Gnocchi. Just trust me on this: it will be the most delicate gnocchi you’ve ever had. And the lamb is perfectly cooked with whatever veggies are in season. We’re trying our way through the appetizers list, and so far the Zucchini and Mozzerella is our favorite. Please, take some time to check it out and enjoy a night of good service and even better food.
Have eaten at this restaurant under former name, Café Amano, and enjoyed immensely. Have also done Happy Hour previously as Livia and highly recommend this. Was underwhelmed by service and food during this visit. Portion sizes were small, especially for the price. Could have eaten down the street for a better value. Disappointed that I could not give a higher rating overall but do have to recommend two desserts - the tiramisu and bread pudding were exceptional.
If you walked into the restaurant, you would probably think it had just opened based on the level of service. The staff was either never trained or was trained poorly. The food was okay, but not out of the ordinary. The prices do not comport with the level of service. There are far too many good restaurants in the area to eat at Livia again.
Went with a friend on a busy Friday night. The ambience and service were excellent. The restaurant was crowded but not full. I felt like the server was trying to rush us and turn the table. Other than that, the experience was quite enjoyable.
The food and service was outstanding but we were seated just outside the bar area and it was very noisy with the overflow of people waiting for seating at the bar standing nearby. We were initially shown a table for four in the bar area even though we had 7:00 pm dinner reservations to celebrate a special occasion.
We sat at a round table in the center of the room and we had to keep getting up on both sides to move our chair in so other people could walk by us. A lady in a stroller could not get by us nor could an elderly man that needed help walking. Also, the noise level was very high.
The service was slow and took them a couple of times to get our drink order right.
Great atmosphere. Fun drinks and amazing food!
Excellent food and service as always! Great beet & goat cheese salad and one of the best burgers available anywhere.
Outstanding Really Describes this Restaurant. Excellent Original menu items. Went with 9 people and everyone loved their meals. Burrata cheese Toast, Avocado Toast and Fried Zucchini Appetizers shared all delicious. Deserts Amazing. Favorite was White Chocolate Bing Cherry Bread Pudding. I would recommend this restaurant for All types of Dining.
Food and service is top-notch! Leave room for dessert. The bread pudding was great!
I meet a friend for lunch every month and we dine here every 3rd or 4th time. We enjoyed our lunch as usual. They were, however, out of our usual 1st and 2nd choices of wine. They did accommodate us with a slightly pricier bottle.
The food was delicious and lots of choices. Our server Gato was excellent. Would definitely be back!
Service was great, food was fantastic. Kevin and the team do a great job. Thank you
This was my first visit to Livia and I was very impressed. My friends and I shared the ricottta, honey and fig appetizer and it was AMAZING! I had the chicken florentine flatbread and it was so large I took half of it home and enjoyed it again later. The service was great as well. I would highly recommend Livia!
Great food, ambiance and service! 5 star experience!
April had spot on suggestions. Everything we tried was amazing. The broth on the shrimp and eggplant dish was drinkable! The lamb and gnocchi was by far one of the best dishes we’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious.
The menu variety and the food were excellent. Our party had several people with special dietary needs that were covered by the regular menu. Everyone enjoyed their food.
Great Food! The Lobster & Shrimp Diavolo is fantastic
We usually enjoy Livia. However this experience was not as good. We were rushed with our food. We ordered a salad and it came before we even ordered our entree. When we ordered the entrees, they came before done with salad. Felt like they just wanted to move us along and open up the table. Food was okay, but not as good as in the past. Our server was really good though and very attentive and helpful. Not sure we will be going back anytime soon.
