Livery - South Bend
Excellent meal with superb service.
Great fun place - terrific waitstaff, excellent entrees. I would recommend reducing the salt in the gazpacho and ceviche. The desserts were very good!
We had a wonderful time there! We sat outside which was very comfortable. Our waitress, Q, was delightful!! Very knowledgeable about the dishes and made wonderful recommendations. She was friendly and chatted with us off and on. Just made our dinner so much more fun.
We tried five dishes -- all wonderful. My favorites were the brussels sprouts and street corn. The Manchego Salad was wonderful too. We will definitely be back.
Visited the Livery and had a great time. It was a Monday evening so we could easily grab a table near the bar. The restaurant has a very cool and modern vibe. We both had the liberty margarita and it was great. We couldn’t recommend this place more
Excellent selection of food. we had a party of 6 and ordered several plates to share. Great way to find your favorites.
Hostess was awful and waitress did not grab our check for over 20 mins after she set it on our table. So we had to take our card out and pay cash so we could finally leave.
Food was perfect. Our server,Que was amazing and perfectly paired us with food and drink. Restaurant was not busy so it was quiet and service was fast. Will return if back in South Bend.
Great addition to Eddie Street commons. Love the empanadas!
The food was very good. It came out quickly and as ordered.
Love the ambiance of this place. It was a quiet night at the restaurant while all the ND students are on summer break. The Street Corn is amazing!!! A must try......I also enjoy the steak empanadas. The menu has changed since I last visited Livery, so I was a little bummed my pork belly taco was gone. My husband enjoyed the salmon and I had the canolones which was good as well. Great margaritas! Our service was excellent!!!
It was so hot and the
The food and atmosphere was fantastic. Our server Tony was the best server we have had in a long time. He is a big factor of why we will be back and will request him as our server. Thank you for a great night out for these parents of a toddler lol.
Good food and good service
We were very pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a Latin restaurant in South Bend. As one of us is very fussy about Latin (Mexican) food, the dishes we chose were special and yummy. Great choice if sipping Tequilas. Marchego salad and gazpacho were excellent. Paella was terrific was not enough for two hungry people. So we followed up with the vegan quesadilla. All were excellent. Reasonable price. Highly recommend.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Livery. Everyone was very friendly and very welcoming. The food was delicious! The flavors were fresh with great combinations when it came to creating the dish. The presentation was spot on. I had the sweet plantains from the starters and the salmon from the entree. If you are visiting South Bend, definitely have a meal at Livery.
Celebrating my cousins birthday (75th) and Livery’s was the perfect spot. We all loved the menu, food and libations! Our server is a 3rd year student at Notre Dame. He was professional, polite, efficient and knowledgeable.
I’ll definitely go back the next time travels take me close by.
Fantastic Margaritas and Empanadas! Definitely will be back.
Awesome restaurant! The food was fantastic and the ambience was perfect.
Overall service great food great. A little on the higher end in terms of pricing. Food quality was great. I’m not a fan of their version of free snacks. Instead of chips or bread it was something different and I didn’t like the taste of them. They made a good margarita. The yuca fries were awesome.
I know tapas generally are more expensive than normal pricing and you are paying for ambience. I just feel like they are missing a daily special . Indiana makes it hard with a no happy hour special but I think a place like that would thrive with drink special at least one day of the week.
I would rate it 4.8 if I could split stars. It’s not at the top of my personal list but it is a refreshing place to dine at in the south bend area and would recommend it
Always a great time here! We love the food, drinks, and excellent service at the Livery in South Bend! We will be back!
excellent food, pretty restaurant, nice portions. not too big
Went for weeknight birthday dinner. Not terribly busy, though nice little crowd. Great service and delicious food and drinks.
"Q" was one of the best servers we have had in years at any level of dining !
Not as good as the first time.I was very disappointed!
Very good. Interesting menu and well prepared. Service was attentive.
Great cocktails, great food, nice atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinner there and would definitely go again.
Great food and cocktails.
The food was outstanding and the sevice on point. We had a desert combo that everyone should try.We will be going back to visit again.
I went with my daughter who is a student at ND, and we both had a wonderful time. The food was creative and delicious, the service very attentive and personal, the prices were very reasonable, and the management was all over every detail. The restaurant has a certain sophistication about it, but in a very welcoming and approachable manner. My daughter will for sure come back with her friends (or order out), and I cannot wait to share this nice restaurant with my wife when we are back in the fall.
Delicious! We loved our meal and the delightful food. My deconstructed tamale was fantastic and the rest of the family enjoyed everything they ordered. The service was excellent with a very happy, credibly server.
What a great addition to Eddy Street! Service was fast (and excellent) and the food was very good. I especially enjoyend the Mahi Mahi taco. We will definitely return.
From the food to the wait staff, we had an amazing experience.
Everything was so delicious! Would definitely recommend it to a friend. It is trendy and the patio option was great. However, we went on a Sunday and they weren’t too busy but service was slow and our waitress didn’t check back until we were finished with our meals. I would go back though!
The food was good but the service was absolutely horrific. Waited for almost 40 minutes to even get a drink order in after asking twice for the waitress to come over. Would hate for a good place to eat to lose customers just because of bad service, I hope they really pay attention and change that up
Livery gets better w/ each visit. It's perfect for lunch. The portions are just the right size and price is very reasonable. Business guests from Chicago were very impressed and enjoyed the variety. We were on a tight schedule and enjoyed lunch for 7 in 45 minutes.
Amazing food- perfectly roasted Cauliflower, tender skirt steak done exactly medium rare, polenta fries were amazing and we will be back again and again!
Drinks and food are really great but I don’t recommend the seviche. It had too heavy of a tomato-Ey flavor. Needed more heat and citrus.
Great service and fantastic food! Will definitely return.
My 3rd time here. We got there early and once seated waited about 10 mins to get our first drink. We ordered empanadas, apps before dinner. 4 of 5 at the table ran out of drinks 3x before asking if we wanted more.
The food was great however the restaurant was understaffed and there was one bartender behind the bar which affected service levels, delays in ordering and getting drinks refilled.
I ordered wine for my wife while she was away from the table . When the server brought the wine (in a carafe) my wife ask why I had ordered her wine, and commented that she loves their margaritas. The server heard this but chose to ignore it and just pored the wine. After we finished our meals we waited more than 15min for our plates to be cleared. The server turned the charm on with the delivery of the check, but it was too late. We like the Livery and dine a few times a month, but today’s visit was disappointing.
