Little Sister's menu showcases Chef Tin's take on one of the more
interesting and rich collisions of food and culture that was borne out
of the European colonization of Southeast Asia. Dishes blend and
balance the spices and flavors of Southeast Asia with French
techniques and Dutch and British colonial influences. The menu is
continually and progressively evolving, reflecting inspiration and the
seasons. "Little Sister Redondo Beach offers straight-up, honest, home-style Vietnamese cuisine—the type of food I grew up eating with my grandparents in the San Gabriel Valley.”

The check in experience was good. While waiting, the staff was very attentive. However couple of suggestions:
1. Menu is touchless; but the link is a pdf that is difficult to read on the phone. Can you not create a web page that is readable on the phone!
2. The service was horrible. We had to wait for over an hr to get our food. Yes the kitchen was backed up; but there was no communication and no update on when the food will arrive. Also no effort to make it right by offering any cocktail or appetizer or something readily available.
The good:
1. The wait staff tried her best was a bit too late.
2. The food is good.
Will try again for the food and chalk up poor service to a bad day.

Food was fabulous!!! So flavorful and fresh. Loved it.
Both the male host and the male manager treated us very poorly more than once. Even checking in for our reservation seemed to inconvenience them as the “server was behind” and made us feel uncomfortable.
Also, I had my hopes held high for their food as I have heard great things. I was disappointed to find out that I only enjoyed 1 dish out of 5. The shrimp salad was the least enjoyable.
Will not be returning and hope that customer service is prioritized moving forward.
We love this restaurant, and have supported it all through the Pandemic, and will continue. However, the last two times have been one thing or another - the first time we had a reservation and had to wait almost 50 minutes for a table. A few nights ago, food was delicious as usual, but our bread and salad never arrived, and we were told it was because the kitchen was very busy. Ok, lets be real, a baguette and some butter is not time consuming! As usual the food was delish!
Food was excellent and very innovative. One of our favorite restaurants. One issue. Poor selection of Scotch for cocktails.

They were clearly understaffed on the night I went. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes and a server never showed up or greeted us. Meanwhile one of their staff tried to fix the heater several times with no success. We gave up and left. We've been to this location 3 times prior and it was just ok and never plan to return after this. We walked a block away to Rockefeller and was seated/serviced right away.

Great food. Some of the dishes could be larger portion, especially for the price. Nice server.
I’ve came here a few times with my boyfriend and every dish that we have tried is phenomenal! Service is amazing as well!

The food and service was excellent! The spices and herbs used on the food were excellent and the waitress (Nicole) helping me was awesome.
Maybe they're still trying to get the hang of things again but the service was awfully slow. From reservations at 8p, got seated at 8:20p, ordered at 8:35p and first dish came out at 9:15pm, heaters didn't provide enough heat and last dish at 10pm 😔. Truly a hangry and cold experience. But maybe it was just my experience.
Our waitress was very warm and friendly, and made the best suggestions for our table!

We put in a reservation, arrived, and had to wait 40 minutes anyways. Food looked fine but they were out of most fish. We left after sitting down.

Excellent food, not great service. The food as always was excellent but they were out of a few menu items at 6PM!!! and the server didn't even think to mention it until after we ordered when she promptly said oh we are out of that. Maybe mention that you're out of items before we spend 10 minutes looking at the menu?!?!?

Food was excellent, service was a mess. Our entrees came then after a couple reminders our apps and then finally drinks showed up. They have a ton of outdoor seating (more than would be indoors) and just need to work out the logistics better. I would definitely go back, but maybe for takeout instead.
Little Sister is an exciting place in the Riviera Village! We simply love the food and the service is always good. We had a reservation at 7:15pm and we were not able to sit down until 7:45pm. It was kind of a bummer to stand in the gusty winds with no heating lamps around.
Other than that, the overall experience was great. Its a definite place for a date night, but we'll return on warmer day :-)
One suggestion would be to use a tent or build a plexiglass wall around outdoor space. It was cold and windy and kind of ruined the experience. We know covid t try unless have. Even hard on them though and service was great

Amazing creative dishes! Super fresh and healthy. Great cocktails too! The service was outstanding, they were very accommodating to my friend's food allergy. Really went above and beyond! Would highly recommend

Excellent experience! This was our first trip out during COVID, and we were so impressed with the safety measures. The food was outstanding, service was above and beyond. Can’t wait to return!
