Housed in a shipping container behind Platform Two of the old Folkestone Harbour Station, Little Rock is a spectacular new beachside restaurant just off the boardwalk before the entrance to Folkestone Harbour Arm. Explore the stunning indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Proud to serve fresh, local and seasonal fish and seafood, supplied straight from the day boats operating out of Folkestone Harbour and the surrounding Hythe Bay area.

    Little Rock is a short walk away from the large Folkestone Harbour Arm car park. This is on the site of the old harbour port and currently costs £3.40 for up to 2 hours and then £1.70 per hour for up to 8 hours. All day parking (over 8 hours) costs £14. Prices subject to change.

Little Rock is approximately a 25-minute walk following signs for Folkestone Harbour Arm.There is a bus stop at the bottom of the Old High Street serviced by Stagecoach buses 72, 100, 101 and 102.     The crab on toast with poached egg was out of this world - as was the Breakfast Martini - Gin, Bergamot Liqueur and Marmalade. What a drink… strong but mighty tasty. Service was fantastic as was the setting. And not as expensive as I would have expected. I will definitely return!

    A Med atmosphere…close to the pebble beach. Views of the sea. Large outside area to use in sunny weather. Great fresh fish. Cheery staff.

    This was our third visit to Little Rock which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious, the customer service spot on and all in a relaxing atmosphere.

    Great quality food BUT Beware of time limits on table - wasn’t told on booking (only found out when we arrived at the restaurant !!) refused to serve coffee even though we had 15mins left of our “allocated time “ & spent £40 per head on the meal ! Very disappointed with the attitude of staff. Wipe clean tables & style of chairs did not reflect the price of food. Left at allotted time - no sign of ‘next ‘ guests. Will not be going back .

    First they don’t have white cliff cocktail because lack of cucumber? And then they pacing the meal really well, by waiting to serve all the dishes in one go by default, cold & warm 🥹 Last but not least, Apparently the amount of scallop has to change when they “change the menu” Can’t believe experience can be so different from last time, prob will never go back again.

    Staff were friendly and helpful. We were five people. £16.25 for three tiny scallops seemed outrageous, they were ok, but gone in a second. Salt and pepper squid could have been any bit of fish in a lot of batter. Dips with the starter basically mayo. Overall most of the food was very bland. My plaice was completely tasteless. Cod cheeks greasy. Mussels good. £190 for an early supper for five of us, but not a great gastronomic experience, nor a very filling one.

    Def a ‘off’ day for this great restaurant, my lemon sole was fantastic however we were sat outside after booking inside even though inside stayed relatively empty, mushroom starter a bit sparse, the smallest piece of huss I’ve ever seen and one main meal did not arrive (taken off the bill), sides I thought £5 for tomato salad very expenny! Waitress was more interested in guarding the deck chairs at the front of the garden and said we were too nice for not complaining? She said ‘shall I take the service charge off your bill’? And left to do so before we even answered. As I said the fish main was amazing but little else to write home about unfortunately! Shame I’ve had some good meals here def an off day!!
