This reservation was made ahead of time and NEVER did we get notice that they are CLOSED down, apparently for COVID?!?! Arrived in town and had no place set up to celebrate our sons birthday. 🤬would’ve been nice to at least be notified since reservation has been made.
We came for our anniversary! Very pretty outside! The service was amazing!! They offered to take a picture of us and on the dessert they put happy anniversary! The food was amazing! We loved it her soooo much!! You have to go if you want a fancy dinner!
Thank you for sharing with us your dining experience. We believe anniversaries are always something to celebrate. We look forward to serving you again.
We were celebrating our anniversary. We requested a table as close to the water and the table was perfect. I forget our server’s name but he was more than accommodating, professional and personable. Food was delicious! Wine was fabulous! Ambiance was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! We are glad you enjoyed your anniversary dinner with us and look forward to serving you again.
Great place for special occasions. Service is very attentive. Historic setting on the San Antonio Riverwalk, with indoor and patio seating.
Thank you for sharing with us your experience. We look forward to having you join us again.
The Filet was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The roasted Brussels Sprouts were flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked. Both of my guests ordered the “Fall Special” - a 4 oz filet and a rock lobster tail and the lobster was cooked beautifully and tender. This is THE best steak restaurant in San Antonio and well worth the price.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us your experience! We do our best to provide our guests with wonderful food and customer service so they may have a lovely experience with us. We look forward to having you join us again for dinner.
We enjoyed our visit because of our waiter and the surrounding tables were friendly and fun, but the food was not what it use to be.
Great service with beautiful seating and views. All of our food was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. We really enjoyed our meal here!
Excellent service and food quality. Top notch and great value.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We look forward to having you join us again soon.
First time visit, and - for a special date - it was memorable. Loved the outdoor terrace, and its view onto the Riverwalk white tablecloths, classic waiter strip of white shirt & black waistcoats. Food was excellent, and our server very attentive. Highly recommend it.
Hello, Thank you for sharing with us your experience. Glad you were able to experience dining on our lovely patio. We look forward to having you join us again.
Great food, great service! It was a wonderful place to celebrate our 20th Anniversary! Staff was very attentive and food excellent!
Thank you for joining us for your Anniversary! So glad you were able to experience dining with us and look forward to your next visit.
We had a nice dining experience. The weather was a bit windy & cool for outside dining so our food got cold quickly. Because of the wind there was debris coming from the trees and landing on our table. The waiter was excellent and the food was very good.
Thank you for sharing with us your experience with us. We do our best to make sure our guest have a lovely dining experience on our patio even if it is a bit windy outside. We do have a beautiful porch that is enclosed and also overlooks the Riverwalk as well. We hope you join us again and experience dining on the porch if you feel it may be too windy outside.
Atmosphere was warm and elegant. Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Our server, Yesenia, was thoughtful, efficient, professional, and funny. My wife is a connoisseur of steak and we have visited most of the top rated steak houses in San Antonio. She rated this at or near the top. A memorable dining experience.
Thank you for letting us know about your dining experience with us. It's great to know you had a lovely dinner with Yesenia as your server for the evening. We do our best to provide excellent food as well as customer service so our guest can have a rememorable dining experience. We look forward to having you dine with us again.
Steak prepared as ordered! Good service. Recommend.
awesome night and great waiter!
We enjoyed the evening. Food was great and service was good.
Had to wait for about 10 minutes for service once we were seated and a not so busy night.
Ordered the Prime Aged Ribeye - not what it was billed as. Had a bunch of gristle in the cut of meat.
Not much to look at from the outside but you will impressed - give them a try
Staff is exceptional and the food is choice.
IF you like a quiet semi-informal dinner, you will enjoy
Unfortunately this place is on a steady decline from what it once was years ago. My bone-in ribeye was undercooked- rare when I ordered medium-well, and creme brûlée was nothing close to what it used to be. It tasted pre-made like a something you could buy in bulk. The ambiance is still great with the location but the food is average and doesn’t match or come close to what Little Rhein’s reputation was built on. The owners/ managers should be fired. What a disgrace to let such a fine tradition go to waste.
Great atmosphere, service and food. I wouldn’t hesitate to dine here again.
Ok this is easy, its very hard to screw up steak, start with a fresh product, cook it correctly and get it to the table without dropping it or letting it get cold and you have a winner. This is the Little Rhein, its not spectacular, its not the best steak ever, it is without a doubt a solid place. The food was delicious, the brussel sprouts were perfect, garlic, butter, wine, parsley and salt, mashed potatoes were "to die for", not really but they were solid and accompanied the ribeye nicely, the ribeye as i said wasn't screwed up, and cook nicely with simple seasoning. The service was excellent as Eric took care of us on our anniversary and delivered an outstanding desert called a "mud ball" which is more simplicity done well then any exotic truffle blah blah blah desert i have had all week. Make a reservation, enjoy the riverwalk, have a bottle of wine, and just enjoy the place was fantastic ....only negative the seats outside suck, not the view, the seats are pain full, remove your wallet and your phone from your back pockets and you should be fine. We will be back.
P.S. you can see my name on the wall as they asked me to sign a menu, look for Michael and Pam 2/17/20 HoF
Very good food and service from Rosa
The steaks were a bit fatty or as the waiter explained, “well marbled”. Our side dishes didn’t make it to our table until our meals were almost consumed, but they added to the portions to make up for the delay. We had a great view of the river, but the space was a bit cramped, especially when the wait staff needed to pass by.
I would give it another try as the food was well prepared and had a terrific flavor.
Great food. Great views. Service was OK.
Service was great. Our waiter was amazing and man a great sales man. We ended up ordering everything he recommended and it was amazing!!! Only thing better than the service was the steaks!!! Wife ordered the sirloin medallion .... amazing. I ordered the ribeye , WOW!!!! Melt like butter when you bit in to it.
Great dining experience on the patio. Filet was very tender and they offer a large selection of wines to choose from.
Wonderful service, thank you Phillip. Fantastic food.
I had the Ribeye and for $39 it was the worst Ribeye I ever had. While I realize that Ribeye’s do have some fat, this steak was 85% all fat. My wife asked the server if she could substitute something for her baked potato and the server just looked at her and said “NO” I’ve had a better steak and way better service at Long Horn Steak House. For a restaurant that has been in business since 1967, I expected way more when spending $100!!
We went there for Valentines and were not disappointed. Although it is a little pricey it is VERY worth it. The steak was cook perfectly and the lobster was excellent. Love the atmosphere, we sat on the patio and it was very quiet. We will definitely be going there again.
We had an early reservation so we were able to chose the covered deck overlooking the river walk and it was perfect cause it was a little cold for my wife.
I got the NY strip and my wife got the Filet and the both were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the crab cake / béarnaise on top. We love crab cakes and my wife said it was the best she ever had.
The service was awesome all servers were very attentive and helpful. They have a great wine selection that you can get by glass or bottle.
I took my wife for Valentines and we have decided this will be a tradition great food great atmosphere can't wait to return.
Fantastic food, and old fashioned atmosphere!
Our server Phillip was awesome!
Dinner was wonderful! We ordered the fall special of steak/lobster and were not disappointed. Our steaks were cooked to perfection!
We sat inside because it was a chilly evening and we loved the quaint interior. We will go back for sure!
We had a party of 12. Sat in wine cellar. Service started out great and then got terrible. We had two waiters. Three of our guests steaks were cooked wrong. We had to beg for refills and some dude items were forgotten and then received when steaks were gone. We made the mistake of ordering dessert and we got them at different times and one was forgotten all together. Once we got dessert the waiters disappeared not to be seen again until asked for. The forgotten dessert was sent in a to go bag. We eat there quit often and decided to take people we were entertaining. None of them were impressed. To bad. This is my favorite steakhouse and it’s very disappointing to have received such service.
Steaks were cooked med rare to perfection, appetizers and sides were excellent - staff was attentive and worked together. Quality matches a top tier steakhouse, at a little better value.
One of the best meals I have had anywhere in the San Antonio area. Excellent service, great atmosphere and just a wonderful dining experience.
We were in town at a conference and made an early reservation for 8 - we ended up with 11 and the staff was amazing at accommodating all of us. The service and food were superb!!
Waiter awesome! Appetizer tray was VERY disappointing! LOL - literally couldn’t even see the mushrooms. About the size of a nickel and buried under the iceberg lettuce. Steak ordered medium rare and was well done. Bearnaise sauce had a skin on the top. To be fair, I did NOT complain as I was hosting business guests and did not want to make a scene so did not give you a chance to correct.
Perfect night!!! Megan was an awesome server!
We were celebrating our 42nd anniversary and showed up about an hour early for our reservation and were able to be seated earlier which showed that the staff really accommodate the customer. Server was awesome and the food was awesome
One of our guys got the wrong order so he had to wait for them to make his steak while we all had our food.
