Little Pub- Old Saybrook
The Little Pub in Ridgefield was our "family bar", and it was great to be able to visit one of their other branches and find the same top notch food and service.
Pleasant wait staff
Went for dinner with my son as always very good food and service.
As always, food was very good. We were disappointed that they did not have Brunch as advertised.
Great food! Great atmosphere!
They could not find a reservation for us and the host was not helpful at all. Luckily they had seating but they made it seem like they were doing is a favor even though I showed them the reservation on my phone. As we were leaving I heard the same situation happening with another group. It seems they are having issues with reservations. Service was good and food good though.
We do a foodie Friday lunch every week. There are 4 couples. We try and pick unique restaurants. We all enjoyed the little pub. We are going to try the other little pubs in CT
We were thrilled with the attention we received for my daughter’s 25th birthday! The food and drinks were so yummy!
We asked to sit at the bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Food is great. I had buttermilk crunch wrap. My friend had chicken salad wrap special. The staff is very attentive. Will definitely go back
Food was good. We had reservations outside and they kept forgetting we were out there. Had better service experience in the past so I’ll chalk it up to a bad night.
It’s a fun casual place to go out with friends and family!
Out of town and looking for a good lunch. We chose wisely. Worth the stop. Must try if you are in the area.
Had the Cobb salad with salmon filet added. Delicious! Our server was personable and so great!
Even with a reservation, we waited 15 minutes to be seated. Service was a disaster. We waited 15 minutes for a drink order only to be told they were out of that beer, and then they charged us for it at the end of the night! I asked for dressing on the side and no olives on my salad, It came soaked in dressing and full of olives. The waitresss did, however, comp the salad for me which was nice. They ran out of glasses so my son drank his beer out of the can. They were clearly struggling to get back in the swing now that restaurants are at full capacity again. Hopefully they will figure it out.
We ate outdoors (thus the ambience rating - inside is beautiful) and would have preferred if heaters we available. Table wasn’t clean. Found it shocking they’re reusing menus. I’m not sure if that guideline has been lifted but electronic menus are so much more sanitary and environmentally sound.
The food was good, but cooled off too quickly for us to thoroughly enjoy (which heaters wouldn’t have helped - so not their fault)
But the service was terrible. Took forever to receive our check and then when we couldn’t wait any longer we headed inside to the hostess stand to chase down our credit cards.
We won’t be back.
Terrible service and mediocre food. The server had others deliver for her and they got the order all wrong. She was nowhere to be found for a long time. We felt like we were bothering her to ask for corrections or additional drinks. Won’t be returning .
Great brunch with unlimited mimosas or Bloody Mary’s.
We like the variety of the food & beer that Little Pub offers. The staff is very courteous & friendly.
We dined on Valentine’s Day, but that does not account for our horrible experience as the restaurant only had a few other customers seated.
Our server was very inattentive to us, did not ask us at all if we wanted drinks, let alone more drinks once we finished the ones we had.
Our orders were incorrect, with items being subbed without mentioning to us. One example- we ordered poutine and received plain French fries with no explanation. When asked what happened to the poutine the response was “we’re out of gravy” - perhaps something worth mentioning when we placed the order or when you realized it during assembling the order. This was just one example of many!!!!
Dessert time rolls around, the server brings the check without asking how our meals were or if we even wanted dessert! It was probably because they had no dessert left! They managed to find a single piece of chocolate cake for the kids luckily, but only after we asked.
Very poor dining experience and very surprising since I’ve been to the other little pubs and have loved them!
We always have a great time here but the server was overwhelmed. She had an entire room by herself on Valentine’s Day. We barely got our drinks much less refills. It was lunch no less ...
Everything was great. Service was fast and the quality of the food was great! Cant wait to go back.
Sadly my boyfriend and I did not have a good experience our first time coming here on Valentine’s Day... not sure if it was a staffing issue (being understaffed) or not prepared for the potential volume the Valentine’s Day could bring in. There was what appeared to be only one server in the dining room with no manager on the floor. We were sat and ignored for 30 MIN before getting two glasses of water. Another 10 minutes go by and we see the server greet another table that had sat down 15 minutes after us. Our reservation was at 7:00 and left at 7:45. The entire 45 minutes no came to our table. It’s very unfortunate because 1. This was our first time coming to this restaurant and 2. It was thought to be a nice Valentine’s Dinner /new experience. Easy to say we WILL NOT be coming back here.
We go to Little Pub pretty regularly. Enjoy the food & the service
Food was so good! Was near the fire. Comfy nice place. Service was perfect.
For sure going again.
We had a very nice time and our waiter was great. Always checking back with us to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend Little Pub.
From our server to the restaurant setting down to the apps & entries, was fantastic. The food was made from scratch and it was all delicious, my only suggestion (and reason why FOOD wasn’t 5 stars) was my steak tips entire. The steak was a little overdone but could’ve been looked over if there was a glaze/sauce/gravy that it was made with/came with. A gravy w the steak tips and mashed potatoes would’ve been awesome! Will still go back tho!
Fantastic spot for outdoor dining. Service was friendly but needed a little work—apps came out with our lunch. But food was tasty, so we didn’t complain.
I have been to other Little Pub locations but my first time to Old Saybrook. Food was great! Buttermilk Chicken Crunch wrap is always a favorite. Did outdoor dining just was a little chilly in November
We had a drink outside and ordered take out
Food was great outside seating very chilly no heaters and no server !
Love this place! I have been to many of their locations and they are great but the Saybrook one is my favorite. Great menu, food, and staff.
Great place cozy English style pub with 2 fireplaces
A terrific place to gather with a few family members during Covid-19. Lovely outside patio, tables well spaced, good food (lots of variety), huge portions with extremely friendly and helpful service. We look forward to coming back.
Rating would be higher if not in a pandemic. I didn't feel they were following capacity rules, tables too close together. Some servers wore masks well, some didn't. Pretzel was good.
Food was good, service was excellent. Plenty of outdoor dining although picnic table was not great but it was clean.
Made a reservation for 7:45. Found out the restaurant closes at 9:00 on Sundays and the food order must hit the kitchen before 8:00. Staff seemed more interested in cleaning up than taking care of our table but a very nice woman stepped in to take our order and make sure we were ok. Ordered steak tips which were somewhat overcooked but nicely seasoned and came with onions and mushrooms all served over garlic toast. My tablemates had a ceaser salad with blacked chicken that she enjoyed and the other had onion soup which was very thick and more like an onion stew. Overall a good experience mostly because of the staff member who did pitch in to take care of us. Will likely go back but with an earlier reservation!
Great beer, wine and drink selections. Well made cocktails. Menu with a lot of variety. Everything was very good. Friendly courteous service. Try the lobsternadas if on the menu.
Great place! It had rained and we had reserved an outdoor table and they just wiped one off for us! Great service!
The food was very very good. The beer list wasn’t up to date and when a beer was out she didn’t ask us what we wanted she just brought over a similar beer or a beer by the same company. Not a deal breaker at all. Would still highly recommend.
We sat outside and server was nice but after another person brought us our food we saw her once during the meal. We waited so long after we had finished our meal that my husband had to go inside and pay the bill.
Food was very good, great menu choices. Waitress seemed overwhelmed in the outdoor dining area. Waited a very long time for our appetizer. Other than that great place, tasty drinks too!!
