   We both studied in Madrid back in our college days and had a wonderful time revisiting the flavors of some of our favorite Spanish tapas. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing and the ambience was wonderfully nostalgic. If you haven't been, you need to go there!! You won't be disappointed. Such a great little gem in the heart of Andersonville. Can't wait to get back to Chicago so we can enjoy another evening there!!

   Wow what an experience! Highly recommend. Live music and amazing tapas in an intimate setting. Very unassuming restaurant that was one of our favorite experiences.

   We’ve been dining there ever since it was a barebones 2-person BYOB hole in the wall without even wineglasses or a decent corkscrew (much less someone who knew how to use one). But it’s gotten too big for its britches, and suffers for its decision to go all-in on attracting Gen-Z and younger millennials. Food still great but too many changes in the menu, especially presentations and composition of existing dishes. Pinxtos seem available only during happy hour (“Hora Feliz,”per the menu—which doesn’t list hours)! Service was rushed. Noise level has become deafening. Absence of any sherries from the wine list is puzzling (as is lack of after-dinner brandies). Prices rising—but that’s the case everywhere so I can’t fault them for that. Haven’t been on a Saturday night where there’s entertainment, but on the Friday we were there, roving waiters bearing botas (wineskins) directed diners to open our mouths—but I think they may themselves have been partaking of the red wine they squirted everywhere but our mouths. (Splashed my eyeglasses. Stained my husband’s shirt and my sweater—ruined because removing the stain made its colors bleed).

   Authentic Spanish tapas in Andersonville. Nice service and the food was really good. Maybe slightly more flavor expected on some of the dishes but nothing major to complain about. We were satisfied with our meal. Next time I want to try the paella. It looked good.

   Soy Española y tengo que decir que el restaurante es Madrid! Increíble ! He leído algunas reseñas que escriben que los precios son altos para tapas! Pero es todo español ! Más barato que el Madrid de ahora! 0 caro, muy asequible y la comida espectacular !

   I love to see an independent restaurant thriving and this one was practically bursting with energy. Staff is warm and attentive. Room is very dark but they make up for that by bringing small lamps to each table for comfort and ambience. Menu is pricy for tapas, which to me takes away from enjoying more little places. We were a party of 2 seated at a small table which also makes it difficult to enjoy the small plate experience since dishes were served on large platters. The baked goat cheese was fantastic. Other dishes we chose were mostly good to average. The sangria was DELICIOUS! While I’m in no hurry to go back, I will return and try the croquettes because in my opinion, a tapas place better make great croquettes. Knowing what I know about the pace, I’m better prepared for my next visit.
