Exceptional waitstaff; very knowledgeable and helpful with menu selections. Definitely making a second trip before leaving town.
Food was really good. Service was excellent. It was a little pricey for what you get but not outrageous.
French toast was outstanding. Truly unique. Service was extremely friendly.
You have to try the Goat Almighty. Wow. Wow. Wow. Bring a friend to help you finish.
Super bon resto. Nourriture excellente. Service rapide. Restaurant toutefois un peu bruyant
Great choice for dinner
Consistently delicious and a staple for lunch and brunch. There's usually something for everyone. Also, the waitstaff is always attentive!
The place has really good burgers (been there multiple times) and love shakes as well. I've tried all their burgers except the Almighty burger (no way I can finish that). Banh mi style is popular and worth a try, but i love patty melt. Great place for a weekday meal or if you're catching up w/ friends or colleagues.
Really excellent. Too bad they charge so much for small mediocre glasses of wine. That’s all I can complain about. The food and service was top notch.
Great company, great service, delicious food and amazing cake!
Such a great night. I went with my 2 and 6 year old daughters. The thing that is so special about Little Goat is that it is so great for kids with a bunch of options even for my picky girls AND ALSO offers a totally delicious and adult dining experience for parents. My girls had excellent Mac n Cheese and I had a Seasonal Shrimp and Pork Belly dish that was sophisticated and so tasty.
The service is always on point as well.
My only issue is that there are TOO MANY things I want to eat when I go!!!
My fiance and I had plans to eat at another restaurant down the street but when we arrived, there was a 2 hour wait. I checked on Opentable if there were any reservations available at Little Goat instead and there was an availability within 15 minutes. I've been to Little Goat once prior to our visit but my fiance has never been so we were game to change our plans. We walked over to the restaurant to find it was very busy for a Tuesday evening with other walk-ins coming through after us but we were seated in no time. My fiance ordered french toast and I ordered the blue plate special which was sea bass. French toast was great as usual and my sea bass was delicious as well but the last portion was a little undercooked which I ended up pushing to the side. Our waitress was friendly and the only time we had a problem was when we were ready to order. It took about 10 minutes for her to come back to our table although we saw her pass by numerous times. We wrote it off though since the restaurant was busy. Aside from the minor hiccups, we definitely enjoyed our meal and would come back again.
We brought our 5 year old to Chicago for her first visit to the city and many of our friends recommended Little Goat. A friend met us for dinner and it was great! The atmosphere was busy but not too loud. And our server (Jessica, I believe) was great. She was attentive and answered questions. She checked in with us just enough to make sure we were taken care of but not rushing us. My daughter loved the mac and cheese! And we had the Pork Belly Pancake and The Fat Club. Both were good but nothing I would try again. Not because there was anything wrong but rather because there's so much else to try on the menu! The only disappointment of the evening was that the cake of the day (lemon soaked buttermilk cake with lemon icing) and the cocktail of the day were both sold out before 8pm. Again, not a deterrent for visiting the restaurant but more so that I was intrigued by both options and sad they were sold out. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely go back again!
Amazing service and wonderful food. I had a unique Asian dish, low carb. Added the homemade spicy sauces. Almost licked the bowl!
Everything from the reservation, seating, service and food was great. Energy level of the diner was invigorating. It was a fun place to be and the food lived up to this.
We had cocktails and then got a great table. All the staff, especially the waitstaff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The food was delicious. Different twists on comfort food and more healthy choices. Best of all it was busy and fun but not noisy and crazy. Great meal.
A very fun experience. Everyone loved their food and the nachos and reuben lived up to the other very positive reviews we saw. The noodle dish also received rave reviews. This is a noisy restaurant so don’t come expecting a nice quiet evening out!
My husband was happy with his order, sort of chicken a la king in pasty dough. I am not with my pork Tonkatzu with toated bread. Bread was not toasted enough. Breaded pork chop was quite alright and plenty. Unfortunate with the cole slaw spread on top of the pork chop, way too much mayo and ketchup. Less is better, that spoills the whole of it
staff was very kind and attentive when need be, food was delicious. the restaurant itself was so beautiful but still lowkey overall good experience.
Best banana cream pie. Service was great.
i was expected much more from this place.... interior is ok, food was so so... menu is very weird... this place is not for especial occasion.. it is good foe every day dinning. looks like they serve breakfast all day long... they have large sandwich selection, and not that many entrees... they bring you wine in regular water glasses... service was pretty slow. so nothing exciting...
This is my first time to Little Goat. My mother was my dining companion, and we do like classic American refreshed menus. Little Goat far exceeded its billing. To start with, valet parking is available and there is a clever app billing system which makes it completely painless. Second, even though it was very busy our table was ready within five minutes of arriving. Now the fun part. Little Goat is an amazing reincarnation of both the classic American diner, but with what we are all looking for in Restaurant’s today - Fresh ingredients, amazing service, and a comfortable space where you can enjoy yourself without a sense of the table having to be flipped. My mother and I had the soup of the day which was a Celery Cauliflower soup drizzled with chili oil. I could’ve recorded that and had more it was that good. We opted for the Fat Club sandwich and it reminded me of the best club sandwiches I’ve had either in Chicago or in private restaurants (e.g. The Chicago Athletic Club) in other locations in the past. A party at three sitting next to us, went for the Fat Elvis. This is a waffle topped with bacon bits, banana, whipped peanut butter and Canadian maple syrup. It sounds like a lot but according to the diners it was absolutely fabulous. Finally the drink menu is as good as any restaurants, and there’s a wide range of locally brewed beers. To top it off, and I may be dating myself, there are endless cups of coffee. Good coffee. The waitstaff is young, enthusiastic and incredibly attentive. We had a waiter named Gillian, and she was fabulous. Can’t recommend this place enough.
I heard about Little Goat from a friend and it did not dissapoint- it exceeded my expectations and this will now become our must go-to place when we visit Chicago. The menu is amazing and forces you to order something you may not have usually gone for as the names and dishes are non-traditional. Love love this place for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. PS- the mayor of Chicago was also dining there while we were there which was another added treat!
Service was awesome, as always!
We loved this restaurant! Went for brunch. Our server was fun and friendly. Service was great and food great as well. Will return again.
Creative food. Well prepared. Friendly accommodating staff.
Great time. Had to wait past our reservation time though.
Great breakfast experience! We had the Elvis Waffle and Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. Awesome!
Little Goat is our go to for breakfast when visiting Chicago. It has a neighborhood vibe with lots of energy. The Little Goat Latte is unique and delicious! With the choice of both traditional and unique Asian inspired dishes, you can always find something to fit your mood.
We enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast here during our last visit to Chicago. The food was tasty, the menu diverse, and the coffee hot. Service was friendly but inattentive. Regardless, I think this elevated diner is worth the stop.
We had such a great night here! Our waiter was enthusiastic and made great suggestions for the four of us to pass plates around and get a variety of the specialties—the scallion pancake was so crispy and perfect, the crispy short ribs were delicious, the shrimp and pork belly noodles were excellent, and the piggy goes to China was the perfect breakfast plate to get the full diner experience! Also, save a little room for dessert, because the ice cream
Sundae with pretzel ice cream and a house made brownie at the bottom was awesome!
Service great....just too noisy for our purpose
This is our second time to the Little Goat Diner. My husband and I love their eclectic menu and the relaxed vibe you get the instant you step foot in the diner. It’s not too uptight like a lot of Chicago restaurants tend to be, and we really appreciate the diner feel. We’ll definitely be back!
Thanks to the likes of Anthony Bourdain and David Chang, I've had my finger on Chicago's food pulse for sometime, and yesterday I got to go to foodie heaven while having brunch at Little Goat.
The attraction was initially down to the bizarre Asian American brunch cross over, but when looking at the menu several weeks ago, I went from intrigued to infatuated. This was a place that knew exactly how bizarre the menu sounded but knew they'd deliver.
I had to try the tempura mashed potatoes because, hey, its tempura mashed potato. And it was by far the most delicious dish I've had. Simple, stunning, so good. The coquette like side dish made for a great start to our meal' my husband opted for Yum, the savory pancakes with pork belly, poached egg and an umami glaze, while I stayed true to my American breakfast passion and had pancakes.
Service was brilliant from the moment we entered, and the staff so knowledgeable about the history of the group and the menu.
I can't wait to return, perhaps braving a more Asian dish because when in Rome...
Good food, would highly recommend
Always fun there. My friends food was excellent and interesting. Mine was slightly overdone, but still enjoyable.
I had an 8:00pm reservation and they were running behind. Everyone from the hostess to my server was genuinely apologetic about the wait, and thanked me several times for my patience in waiting for a table to open up (I opted not to sit at the counter). Food was plentiful with unique spins on traditional dishes. I loved the Spanish Omelette which had homemade chips on top and served with hot sauce made in house. The biscuit was a definite standout with flavorful jam.
Not remembering that the Spanish omelette would have chips on top, I ordered a side of hash browns. Although tasty, I remarked to my wonderful server Ben that I really didn't need to have ordered the hash browns. To my surprise, Ben took the hash browns off my tab, and indicated that it was their way of showing appreciation for my having waited patiently for a table--I had waited about 40 minutes.
The food was great, but I was even more impressed with the wonderful, friendly service. This restaurant warrants an A+ for hospitality in my book! I will definitely recommend to friends.
Food was fantastic and our made great recommendations. I would highly recommend the short ribs and the crispy chicken sandwich
Everything was delicious. There was a faux pas when my son, whose food allergies had been disclosed to the wait staff, was served a burger with a sauce he could not eat. The waiter was quick to accept responsibility and have a replacement prepared promptly. Every meal we have ever had there, the staff are accommodating, friendly and prompt. Food is fabulous and every dish has a little special twist about it.
