Little Goat Ratings and Reviews
We are huge Top Chef fans and were visitng Chicago, so we finally took the chance to eat at Stephanie Izard's restaurant! Food was delicious, atmosphere fun and very neighborhood casual, and the coffee was even great. We were there with our 13- and newly 10-year-old kids and it was fine, perfectly kid friendly and our server was very patient with our picky kid's struggles to choose a meal. A wonderful ending to our family trip!
The food was delicious! The hostess was beyond rude which was really off-putting considering we had a reservation. While we were waiting for the hostess to decide to seat us, we ventured to the bar. The bartender noticed our daughter getting antsy during our wait and asked if she would like a special drink. He concocted the best kid-friendly punch and she was thrilled to get it.
We sat at the counter and it was so cool to see the chefs in action! The service was great. Very friendly and helpful people working there. The food is fantastic! We started with the breadsticks, which were soft and tasty. My friend had the very little Caesar salad and it was the best he has had, and the guy always has a Caesar when we go out. I had the Ruben sandwich and he had the patty melt with fries. The food was so good! The meats on both sandwiches were lean and had great flavor. The fries are fantastic! They have a little bit of spice to them, which only adds to the flavor of the skinny fries. I wanted dessert in the worst way but we were way too full. I had the rest of my Ruben at Midnight straight out of the fridge and it was still amazing. If you can get reservations, go to the Little Goat!
We ate at the Little Goat because the wait was too long for Au Cheval. We were able to get a seat at the counter top right away. We were from out of town and was celebrating my husbands birthday. The food came out very fast. I ordered the sloppy joe and my husband got the burger. Both meals were very good. I would recommend this place for a quick meal, late night snack, or breakfast. Very cute diner.
Our server, Justin, was outstanding . He was attentive, knowledgeable and warm. CT, the manager remembered us from a previous visit. He suggested unique appetizers and came to our table thru out the evening.
We will return again. The food was perfect.
A great celebration for our family
My wife, son and I dined at Little Goat on Valentine's Day and had a great time and enjoyed the food. The owner, Top/Iron Chef Stephanie Izard was there personally tasting many of the dishes. Love seeing someone that involved/invested in one of her many locations. Highly recommend!
We came to Little Goat with friends for Valentines Day. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The prices were reasonable and they honored their reservations. I split the chicken pot pie and caesar salad with my friend. While the chicken pot pie was tasty, I wouldn't rush to get the salad again as it was nothing special. The banana creme pie for dessert was delicious! Next time I come back, I would definitely order a breakfast item.
Loved this place first time around. Got the " Macho Nachos" and was in heaven! Been here a handful of times since to get same thing. Each time disappointed a little more. My friend was not too thrilled with his goat burger either. Consistently great table service, but if you get take-out, you have to be there in person to order it, & be prepared to wait a very long time for it. Prices fair to a little high for diner food.
