Chickpea kale salad was fantastic
As always great food and service.
Service was great and food was spectacular! Perfect place to eat an early breakfast with our 3 young kids before exploring the city!
Love this place now my second visit . Delicious and inventive food . The burger was half beef half mushrooms as listed in the menu was a delicious way of having a healthier version of a burger . Oh and they have a full on burger too for Those who want it .
Will definitely come back next time in Chicago
Ate at bat - loved the service and food
Birthday dinner before U2 concert. Waitress brought a birthday shake when she learned the occasion. Fun but loud
The food and service were great. However, they had 7 of us sit in a booth that would have been ok for 6 - but too tight for 4 on one side. There was an empty table for 8.
It was a great dining experience as usual!
I go to Little Goat at least twice a month because I love their food and their entire staff is amazing. Every waiter/waitress I've ever had there has not only been great at their job, but has also been super fun to talk to. I love their nachos so much that every time I go there I'm tempted to order something else (because so many things look so good), but I'm too afraid of missing out on nachos.
best sandwich I have ever had! love LOS DROWNED!
This was my first time at Little Goat. The food was absolutely delicious, with innovative flavor combinations and menu items as well as an extensive selection of comfort foods. I had the chickpea salad with mint, kale, and falafel fritters and it was fantastic. You can sometimes get a table or seat at the counter on a walk-in basis, but I recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. Great place and we will definitely go again!
I love this place. Consistently good food and always a go to when clients are in town for brunch. It was a lot louder than usual but still very enjoyable.
Best breakfast ever!
Took 20 min to be seated even with a reservation.
This is typically one of my favorite places to eat in Chicago but I was very disappointed with my most recent experience at Little Goat Diner. We had a reservation for 9 people but still had to wait about 30 minutes for a table when we arrived, which is understandable to some degree since the party before us was finishing up when we arrived. But after they cleared out, it took 10 minutes before anyone started clearing the table and then after it was cleared, the hostess still indicated no rush in seating us. Then after finally being seated, the server wasn’t that friendly towards us. The fried chicken was basically all breading and my brother didn’t get served his food until 20 minutes after that. After talking this place up to my family before our dinner, I was rather embarrassed with how their meals and experience ending up being.
Wonderful food and environment. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends!
Shrimp and grits was great, smoked fried chicken was very dry and small portion. also started with the crab dip, that was good. Very loud (I didn’t mind).
This may be a case of "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." On a recent trip to Chicago, after reading all the positive reviews of Stephanie Izard's restaurants, my husband and I visited Duck Duck Goat. Suffice it to say we had a bad experience.
Not easily dissuaded from the glowing press on the Goat Group, we decided to try again with lunch at The Little Goat Diner. While it was a better experience than Duck Duck Goat, it was still fairly unimpressive. Here's my take:
Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice - delicious - and a big fat latte - also delicious
Goat chili - well seasoned with surprising heat and great flavor
A dairy-free menu. On the one hand, it's reassuring to know that my food will, in fact, be dairy-free, and I appreciated that. On the other hand, the menu was rather limiting and communicated that the kitchen wasn't willing to make simple alterations - for instance taking cheese off a sandwich - to make a regular menu item dairy-free.
The Pork Torta and the Smoked Corned Beef Hash with Eggs - two big 'ole piles of food that were good enough but not great.
Seating at the end of a counter-top table in the bar area left my husband staring down the table at four other couples - just kind of weird.
In the end, I guess goats may not be our thing.
Little Goat Diner, like all of the Chef Izard family of restaurants is a comfortable dining experience with innovative, flavorful, and delicious foods. The service is impeccable, and the only reason I only gave it a 4 star rating for service because the host was not on point at all. He was the only negative in our experience. In an empty restaurant with us having a reservation for 8 people, he tried to cram is in a booth for 6. I explained that we were chefs and food people and would be ordering a ton of food, and he said he'd give us a table, but we needed to be done in 90 minutes. Nevermind that we had reservations, over a month out. He didn't exude the highest level of service that is normally indicative of an Izard or Boka restaurant at all. I'm just hoping he had a bad day. Otherwise, he likely shouldn't be in the service industry. Our server was phenomenal, very engaging and knowledgeable about the food, and the food was, as always, creative and delicious. I recommend the Little Goat Diner to anyone wanting to see what a classic diner would be, when elevated by an immensely talented chef and her gifted culinary team.
I try to get to Little Goat every time I am in Chicago, and I am never disappointed. The Sloppy Goat is just increadable, and the fries are just perfect. I would eat here all the time if I could, just a great meal, and great service.
Good food, very accommodating to our party that included a toddler.
Terrible. I booked a table on Open Table ahead of time so I could be seated properly. I got there 11:40 and checked in with the hostess. Patiently waited until 12:15 when I saw that two sets of guests who came much later than me were seated ahead of me. I decided to go back to the hostess and ask what happened. She said someone else must have taken my reservation because there were multiple people with my name. They never bothered to check with me, i was literally sitting 2 feet away from there. And I honestly did not hear anyone else named Maria being called... and definitely not for two people. They seated 2 males, and then a group of 4 under the name of Kristen, a group of 6 college kids but none named Maria. So im not sure how she got that mixed up.
As an apology she asked us to pick from the starters menu and said it was on the house. We requested for the chicken fingers, she said okay will let your server know - that order of chicken fingers never came. Didn’t bother following up either.
Not a good experience. Waited 45 min for pancakes that were a bit over priced and waiters who put food on the table without looking. We ordered a side of bacon, some guy put it in front of me, two seconds later I had another guy literally switch it with another order of the same thing without so much as explaining why he did it.
Never coming back to this establishment.
7:30 reservation. Wasn’t seated until 8:00
Great atmosphere, great food. Took my family and we all had a great experience
Such great service! They were very vigilant and accommodating with my food allergies. Our waiter was very friendly and the food is SO tasty. There is not one bad thing on the menu! can’t wait to come back again!!
Fun food very good service would definitely return
Overall had a wonderful time. This was my second time at Little Goat and would definitely go back. The food is comfort food with a twist. Highly recommend!
Food was mediocre, trendy old time cafe.
The food was great but service was sub par. Our server was not very friendly and we waited forever just to get drink refills. She didn’t come to check on us, just tossed a dessert menu on our table as she walked by.
I've always like Little Goat but this is the second time that we have eaten there with a group . We had a reservation and were seated about 15 minutes late. That was ok. However, the service was very slow. My husband requested a drink refill which he never received. We like Little Goat, the food is good but the service has really declined.
Only issue was having to wait 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We had theater tickets and let them know. Didn’t matter. So warning anyone going before another event that table management can be an issue.
wonderful service. family friendly without comprising the elevation of the food level. recommend getting a reservation in advance. must go to restaurant. will certainly be on my revolving list of restaurants to go to.
Loved this diner for Mother's day brunch. I had the Bulls Eye French Toast which was an egg in the hole of two pieces of french toast topped with fried chicken and strawberries. Really fantastic.
Good option for a tradional Sunday's brunch in the West Loop.
Birthday celebration. Courteous waiter, food was prompt & delicious, overall extremely satisfied.
I had a reservation. I arrived early. Was ignored multiple times by host. Was not seated until 20 min after my reservation. The waitress did not come speak to us until 12 min after we were seated. The coffee was not worth the $4 spent (could have gotten a latte at any other establishment for less). The food was great!
I took my mom to the Little Goat for Mother’s Day brunch and it did not disappoint. We arrived ahead of our reservation time and they sat us almost immediately. The wait staff was very kind and willing to recommend items that I generally would not order right off the menu. Everything my mom and I ordered was unique and very fresh. I personally had the This Little Piggy Went to China and it was amazing! This Asian flavored inspired breakfast sandwich is now one of my all-time favorite brunch dishes. I would highly recommend the Little Goat for anyone looking for a unique breakfast or brunch with a vibrant atmosphere.
Amazing food and great service. I can’t wait to go again !
Awesome food! There were 7 of us. Great service. Great location, highly recommend.
Burguer patty was dry and just not good, poor burguer experience. Maybe they’re better at breakfast. On top of that, the restaurant is super noisy and we just wanted to get done quickly and get out!
