Food at Little Goat is great. We have been here lots & everything is great.
Food was delicious and service was great. Our waitress even was helpful in giving us a lot of details regarding food other people were having that we saw. Barista was really detailed and clear when telling me about a coffee offering. Flavors were wonderful. VERY kid friendly. The kids mac and cheese was great and my other daughter loved her waffles!
The food was good but not great. We are a few nights earlier at the sister, Duck Duck Goat. It is Chinese and thought the overall concept, atmosphere and food was better. The Diner was good, service was great, but the restaurant is looking a bit tired and was expecting their diner food to be more elevated than advertised by others who had been. I really wanted to eat at Little Girl and a Goat, but unable to get reservations. Perhaps we will try it on the next trip with more lead time. I would go back to Duck Duck Goat, but not Little Goat.
Mack is the best bartender
The food was amazing. The three favorites at our table were the rueben, the messy fries and the chili. We’ll be back. Maybe tomorrow for breakfast!
Sat at the counter. No place for our coats. Wonderful to see all the food go by. The scallion pancake with pork belly was the best. The Japanese pancake we can’t remember the name of was excellent. The shrimp and grits was not the best. I’ve had much better in Florida and New Orleans. Great server. Will definitely return for other options. The Fried chicken sandwich looked incredible.
We went for brunch and the food was great but the only reason i wouldn't recommend little goat is the price of the mimosas - $40 for a liter of mostly orange juice is ridiculous when you can go get bottomless somewhere else for the same price.
Delicious food in fun casual diner atmosphere.
But beware- it's way too easy to finish a carafe of mimosas!
Great birthday brunch spot!
Awesome food. Everything is so delicious. Elevated takes on diner food. Try Grilled Cheese 😋
Great food and service was outstanding!
Would recommend this place to everyone especially vegans, they have many opinions!
Birthday dinner and it was great!
Little goat is probably the best diner in Chicago. They have amazing variety and consistently amazing
Wonderful food and staff! Pleasant experience, will definitely be back!
Love the food at Little Goat. Have eaten here many times. Had the bahn mi on masa chips, was delicious. Highly recommend the new Goat Tracks Sundae. It's big enough for several people and a peanut butter lovers dream.
Good food but service was so so-maybe due to shift change. The drink I wanted they were out of.
Cute place to get dinner!
Very well received by all members of my lunch party!
The peach margarita was THE BEST!!! Had the nachos along with it and they were supurb.
The staff and chef were all incredibly kind and helpful with my food allergies.
First time but not my last time. I googled the best Patty Melt in Chicago and for sure got it at Little Goat.
The Little Goat Diner did not disappoint. The food and the service were outstanding.
Always delicious food and exceptional service.
I ordered the patty melt, which was so messy to eat and more of a hassle. Nothing special, would never order it again. My brother ordered the BBQ Burger and he was not happy either. He said it was way too spicy. French fries were good, but I doubt I'll return for a second try.
Always the best! Thank you for being consistently fabulous, Little Goat! Everyone loves this place, no matter who I go with.
Great food, but noisy and quite a wait
We’ve made multiple trips to Little Goat and the food never disappoints. This time, we brought a niece from out-of-town to brunch. She loved the waffles, latte and experience.
Thought the food was terrific
Gets pretty busy and expect to be there for a little while, but the food is great :)
You get pretty huge portions and most of the dishes are shareable. Good quality food and quite reasonable prices. It wasn’t noisy and the music level was low enough to hear each other.
Took the family and we all enjoyed our food. Service was great and quick!
It would be cool if in the “breakfast served all day” section they denoted the yogurt/fruit service ends at 11am. Slightly annoying when restaurants are above making any modifications whatsoever as they were with the first item
I tried to order but such is life. Food was awesome, service had a couple lag spots but our server was a nice guy. I’ve been a bunch of times and will go back.
Food was good. Device was okay.
Always one of my favorite places to eat breakfast in the city.
Though the server would disappear for large amounts of time. There is always a long wait list & they told me i could not be put on the waitlist today because they were full. Thankfully there was a cancellation on open table!!!
To me it is odd that the servers are no where to be found when they should focus more on ensuring coffee stays full, guests are satisfied and work on freeing up more tables for guests on the long ‘full’ waitlist.
Thankfully the chef is 5Star or it would be difficult for me to return after this visit.
Asked us about dietary restrictions when we first came In but when we asked to hold the broccoli on a special they had to check because the kitchen doesn’t like substitutions on the specials. They agreed but it was an absurd comment. I asked for a bagel sandwich and they only would bring everything a lacarte - again, why wouldn’t they just assemble it. They seemed very uptight for a diner. The coffee was delicious but the Bloody Mary was meh. The mix had an odd taste.
I feel badly writing bad reviews but I must say, my husband and I traveled to 13 countries in 2019 and our single worst meal was at Little Goat on New Year's Eve. I have a feeling that if we had gone to Little Goat on a normal night, we'd probably have at least a more neutral experience. But the New Year's Eve menu was horrid. The starters were mediocre. The mains were vile: My "fish and chips" had the most disgusting and overpowering (tamarind?) sauce I could imagine. I gagged eating the goat cheese cheesecake dessert. The service was frenetic and we felt rushed (again, I do understand that New Year's may be atypical). Again, I feel bad commenting here but our Lonely Planet guide had this as one of the 5 best culinary experiences in Chicago and our friends had highly recommended it. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones disappointed - I overheard a couple saying "Never again" as they walked out. "Never again" indeed.
Not for New Year's menu. Poor selection of entrees. Fish and Chips was oversauced. Appetizers, salad, and entree were served within 5 minutes of each other. A very disappointing dinner.
Went there on New Year Eve was a wrong decision. Didn’t know that there was a kids’ night going on before we arrived so kids were running everywhere. Limited food selection on the menu for NYE and everything was just ok.
NYE! Great choice for New Years with the family. They were very kid friendly and the only place offering some type of fun for kids. They did a really great job!
