We went for the sunday tasting menu. It was all absolutely delicious! Highly recommend
We did the 5 course tasting menu that was absolutely stunning. Everything was well prepared and extremely tasty.
The food was amazing. My husband and I wanted a fancier dinner while we were in Philly, and Little Fish did not disappoint. All of the food was extremely fresh, and so tasty. The ambiance was so nice and intimate. It was the perfect place for a nice date night.
Truly exceptional fish. Light, inventive, flavorful. Wow!
Perfectly made fish. Wonderful pace of meal. Informative but invisible service ( the best). First time back in some time...amazing meal!
Local gem. Incredible fish superbly prepared and presented.
Nice little corner restaurant with great fish entree selections.
Everything was amazingly delicious and beautifully presented. Service was fabulous. The prices are a tad higher than usual, but the fact that it is BYO brings the overall meal price within the same range. Really a delightful place. I highly recommend.
Despite Anthony Bourdain's warning about fish and Mondays, our fluke, sardines, steamed clams etc were exquisite. The salted caramel ice cream lavished over chocolate cake was a special treat!
Little Fish was an awesome date night spot. The all seafood menu was incredible, including some of the best scallops I’ve ever had. The restaurant is very intimate and very cool. Highly recommend!
Tiny cozy dining room, which may be a feature or a bug. We enjoyed that aspect. Food could hardly have been better.
Amazing! I hadn't been to the new location yet, and it is still as great as ever! Everyone in our group was raving about everything they ate! Awesome place!
Fantastic food. Lovely servers. Very small space. Can’t help but interact with other diners, which in our case was fine. Can’t wait to go back.
Came here for the prix fixe NYE meal and was not disappointed. The menu featured two options per course, as well as oysters for those willing to pay a little extra. Not a fan of oysters (literally one of the only foods each of us doesn't like), my bf and I got the full menu and split everything. Omg. The food was incredible. From some of the best fresh, raw scallops I've ever tasted, to soft and pillowy lobster gnocchi, to even the chimichurri sauce that came with the bread, I was totally blown away. Even my bf, who has super high expectations for fine dining establishments, had absolutely no complaints. Will definitely be coming back here.
Outstanding meal and service on New Years Eve!
Everything was great. We shared oysters, and 2 appetizers one the fluke and the other an octopus and a black bass entree. The black bass came in a wonderful broth and the octopus was a little spicy and delicious. Will return for sure.
Sunday tasting menu is the best. Fun and delicious.
Every single bite was absolutely inspired and amazing!
Wonderful place for a nice quaint delicious dinner
unique food and beautiful presentation
Great prep, but would only recommend with comment about cost and ambience.
Little Fish was an absolute bullseye!! We are seafood lovers and advocates for BYOBs. (Also infrequent and reluctant reviewers, but we enjoyed it so much we had to say something.) The options were all creative and reliable, with subtle touches emphasizing balance to showcase the particular qualities of the seafood. What put it over the top was the unfussy delivery that makes the value even more apparent. We loved the close proximity to the kitchen and simple decor. There is a relatively narrow menu so it’s not going to serve everyone, but for the target audience it can’t be beat.
Great service! Delicious food! Totally enjoyable experience
Seafood was very good
Worth going back
The meal was outstanding! Every single dish was perfectly thought and executed.
Delicious food and such impressive service- It was a phenomenal dining experience and BYO to boot!
Very small, excellent food. Great value for the Sunday tasting menu.
fabulous food. definitely would go again. wear something warm if going in the winter - quite a draft by the window and outer wall.
Fantastic restaurant. Food is superb and service professional. Wonderful dinner
Fantastic as always.
Little Fish never disappoints; in fact, it is always a wow experience. The food is so fresh, delicious, and innovative. The small menu guarantees that everything will be top notch. There is certainly nothing else like Little Fish in Phila. I've never had seafood meals like that anywhere else I have traveled. The staff is friendly and attentive. A great place to go with friends.
Really nice dinner with super tasty food. Portions were a little small and we were still a little hungry when we left but overall really good!! The tasting menu is an awesome idea.
One of the most flavorful, well prepared meals I’ve encountered recently.
Girlfriend and I will be returning!
Small but exquisite seafood menu with strong Asian influences made for a wonderful meal. I had fluke sushi with radish and wasabi. The fish was clean, simple mild flavor with the wasabi sauce being warm and full flavored without being overpowering or hot. My main was halibut with kale, Yukon potatoes and shellfish cream. The kale was flash fried, crispy and thin. The halibut was cooked beautifully and the Yukon potatoes and shellfish cream accentuated the flavor without overwhelming the delicate fish.
A wonderful meal in a wonderful place.
Really disappointing. It took 55 minutes from arrival to receiving our appetizers, eight oysters on the half-shell. About half of that day was just in waiting to have our order taken (and it should've been clear we were ready). We couldn't even taste the actual oysters, because they were so over-dressed with their sauces that all we could taste was lime juice on one and vinegar on the other.
First course was timed better. Octopus was decent. The scallop was seared only on one side, which ordinarily is fine, but it was placed on top of a sort of chilled slaw of celery root and apple, which meant that the unseared side of the scallop was nearly ice cold and the other side was warm. A chilled slaw was also a perplexing choice on a day with temperatures in the 30s in a restaurant with very poor insulation and heating, by this point in the meal I was desperate for anything warm as the restaurant itself was very cold inside.
Second course featured perfectly cooked halibut and undercooked potatoes. The branzino itself had a nice crust, but was very dry. Unfortunately, the branzino was served with eggplant, a vegetable that soaks up whatever sauce it is in. And just like with the oysters, the sherry (or more accurately, sherry vinegar) sauce with the branzino was so acidic as to be inedible.
Needless to say, we decided to get dessert elsewhere.
This is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia! Even though I go there often, it still surprises me. Last week my wife and I split the five appetizers and as always we were in awe of the chef's palette. I felt like a judge on a food network cooking show with experienced chef's trying to craft the perfect bite. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and matched, enhanced with amazing broths and seasonings. This is food I never expected to find in Philadelphia.
Very good meal! Super fresh fish!
Not one complaint with Little Fish. Wonderful, friendly service and sublime food. They really know what they're doing at this restaurant and, although it's not inexpensive, it's worth every penny. And the fact that it's BYOB makes it a no-brainer for those who drink.
