Little Donkey is great. The food and cocktails were a delight. The one thing I'd suggest, in the middle of a pandemic where everyone has to eat outside, in a place like Boston where it's cold, is to bring out some heat lamps. The inside of the restaurant was loaded up with unused heat lamps. Why? It was quite cold outside. It's only going to get colder.

It was our first time having Brunch here and it was spectacular! Hot coffee on the back patio, adult beverages and delicious dishes like the corn flake crusted French toast, patatas bravas, and Vietnamese Crepe were standouts. Playlist was upbeat and hit the mood perfectly, and service was super friendly as always. Highly recommend this spot!

The food here never disappoints.Lots of vegetarian options.
Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing.
an extra outdoor heater would have been nice, but given the situation, they have done everything they can. Wear warm clothes!
Highly recommend!

The food and service were wonderful. We ate on the patio because of the covid-19 precautions and it was really delightful. I can't wait to go back.

Our server was great, we loved everything we ordered - food and cocktails. My favorite item was the Phat Lao and Ode to Pablo, jerk chicken 2nd choice.

The staff at little donkey is the best. Food? Unreal.

But please, wear your mask when your server approaches the table. In what world should a server come to us in full PPE? The least we can do is keep restaurants open and kee their staff safe.

A little sad to walk through the empty dining room, but the tables out back are wonderful. And, the food is as excellent as ever. Nice to see one of our favorites “weathering” these strange times.

The food is honestly not very good. They try to do dishes inspired various cuisines - Thai, Korean, Indian - but something always falls short somewhere. Either the combination of spices is underwhelming, the quality of the meat/produce not up to par, and/or the flavors simply don’t do the dish justice. We had the short rib and the Kimchee fried rice most recently ... both were not worth the price. I’ve had the “biryani” before too, which is certainly not biryani.

The bartenders are great; skilled at what they do and very accommodating. Have been there several nights for drinks and would return for that - but not the food.

Little Donkey has always been fantastic and it’s no different during Covid. The restaurant and servers seem to be doing a great job with current guidelines, all seating is outdoors with generous spacing between tables. Dress warm, there was actually a big difference in temperature and wind between the street side and the lot side.

We can’t wait to go back!

This was the second time I dined here. Each dish was delicious in its own right and the mix of plates was great. Although this is a small plates restaurant, I appreciated that the portions were more generous for each dish than I'm used to for tapas-y places.

my friend and I had the most delightful experience Tuesday night at Little Donkey. We were torn what to order so asked if there was a “chef’s tasting”. Dana, our server, replied “not really, but if you’ll let me I can make one for you, I’d love to!” So we did and it was amazing!! Also, Dana was a fantastic server and he made a great experience an amazing one. Thanks for sticking it out and continuing to deliver food joy 💗

Great food! Shareable small plates give you the chance to try several options.. don’t get too carried away tho or your bill might surprise you at the end. 1$ oyster time is a must have! Overall great place and experience. Want to come again and recommend!

I had been looking for new places in Cambridge since post Covid it’s pretty much a ghost town. Menu and reviews looked good, but what a disappointment. First off their outdoor seating patio is sad. It’s barely lit, they have tiny cheap tables, and I’m sorry but for a restaurant charging these prices having sam Adams tents is just so tacky. Raw bar was over priced, poorly shucked for 4$ a pop. Raw bar items were poor quality and poorly prepared. The plates are tiny, I understand it’s a tapas place but if you charge these prices your plates have to be exceptional to be worth it. They weren’t, everything honestly was dressed up bar food. Drink menu is small and forgettable. 300$ meal and left hungry. Will not be back.

My second time there, first time having dinner and it was also very good! Didn’t love the pan con tomate. The hand cut jamon was a little thicker than expected, and the bread a little on the dense side, but the flavors were good! I probably would not order again. Service and cocktails were solid. Big fan of the blowfish tails, MUST HAVE!

Came for dollar oysters on a Thursday afternoon. They have a great setup in the parking lot behind the restaurant vs. on the street like other central square restaurants. Our server Dana was great and we enjoyed our oysters and drinks!

To start, our server was simply wonderful. He was observant and made great menu suggestions, (he upsold just the right amount, too).

The food was delicious.

The covid precautions were excellent. We were well distanced From the other tables. The only downside was that it is a parking lot, but I was happier to be on that side of the building than on the street.

Everything was wonderful. I will be back for sure.
