Little Donkey Ratings and Reviews
Oysters were beautifully prepared and the lamb bacon BLT was nothing short of decadent. Loved the corn salad and fried chicken sandwich, wished the octopus was more tender though the flavors were outstanding. The service was friendly but I felt a little overlooked with my pretty chill six year old. Will back with friends
We had a wonderful time! Our waitress was great; weighed in just enough but was very easy going and attentive! Each of the dishes were very generous portions and perfect to split. This would also be a nice option for groups because there's such a variety of flavors to choose from and food comes out fast. Definitely will be back! Great addition to the area
I heard it is a good place but it was the Best - innovating, tasting food I had in a long time! Wonderful flavors for each dish. The octopus was melting in my mouth — you need to be a magician or top chef to do the magic! Each plate we had had a different story to tell - and a very very good taste!
Thank you for amazing dinner!
We had a good time at Little Donkey. The food was on the expensive side but the portions were pretty big, we had leftovers to take home. Our waitress was unbelievably nice but I don't think they had enough staff on for the day, so we were left wondering where she was and confused about who to ask for what when we needed something. I would definitely come back to try the dinner.
Enjoyed our evening. Pakora and Matzo ball ramen probably the two favorites. Spicy chicken wings are truly spicy. Churro icecream sandwich was supposed to be switched to banana icecrea. We were excited to try that but still yummy with the vanilla icecream and of course everyone loves cookie dough.
The food at Little Donkey is outstanding. Very imaginative creations, not afraid to use spices, and the flavors are fantastic! The seafood was ultra-fresh and absolutely delicious 😋. One criticism: they desperately need better descriptions of the dishes on the menu. Service was impeccable.
Excellent food, creative mixing of flavors. Well worth a visit. Attentive and informed service. Quite noisy,as expected from a mostly young crowd. Poorly illuminated; bring your smartphone light. A bit pricey for what you get but within reason. We will return
Little Donkey is a worthy companion to another Oringer fav, Toro. The design, spacious layout, warm greeting, timely seating, great service, delic food, diverse drink options, pricing and romantic ambiance combine to provide an A+ experience. We were totally delighted and will return, SOON!
All of the tapas style dishes I had were very good! The Parker house rolls, duck confit nachos and the Agnolotti were all amazing! The pizza bagel was good, but much too spicy. The cocktails were very well crafted and the chocolate chip cookie dough was an excellent dessert. This place is a bit pricy, but it’s worth it for a special occasion!
AMAZING! Chef Oringer was at Coppa with his family when I ate there last month, and was at Little Donkey with his family this past Sunday when we were there for brunch. love that he is so present. LD is so so good -food phenomenal and ambiance just so fun. Definitely one of the best places in Boston. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
This was our second visit. Another great meal and great service. One member of our group is a vegetarian and the waitress, without us asking, suggested substitute ingredients for several items on the menu. Hassle free, great food and service, with a good vibe. Check it out.
I wish I could remember our food servers name. He was fantastic—Since he does a lot of fishing, he had great details about the seafood. As many reviewers have said, the lobster Rangoon was out of this world, as was the Hamachi collar. Would definitely return.
Great food and even greater service. The meatless burger was not on the menu for dinner, but our waiter convinced the chef to make it for us anyway. So gracious. But the noise level is so high that we could barely hear ourselves. Great spot for young professionals with good ears. Not so much so for us senior citizens.
