We had a very pleasant pandemic dining experience.
waiter was so nice and helpful, food was amazing— just as good as i remembered despite the slightly chilly outdoor dining experience ;) nice touch that they have blankets for sale if you need a little extra insulation, too!
Good was too salty and service was seriously lacking. I won’t be returning
My favorite restaurant. The cauliflower was amazing, plus the chicken sandwich and burger are always amazing!
Headed over to Little Donkey with my BFF for their $1 oysters. Food was great and service was great!!! Definitely making this my go to spot!
We are regular and longtime customers and love the food here but our experience was marred by the extreme cold.
Although we had indoor dining it was colder than outside. No heating and All doors were deliberately kept wide open and ac was full on cold. It wasn't just cold -it was windy! our menus were blowing around and the pendant light fittings were swinging. We were freezing throughout our dinner. when I asked if they could close the doors they said no.
While we understand the need for adequate ventilation re Covid this was taken too far. This was no accident either as they listed blankets for sale on their food menus for $8!!
Customers be advised - come bundled up and bring blankets!
Great flavors in each plate and great service. Good set up for safe outdoor dining.
The flavors fell flat and got lost amongst the fusion. I’m sure the ingredients are high quality but for the price I would expect them to be paired together better and the dish be brought to life. Nothing stood out or left me wanting to come back.
So delicious. Perfectly prepared food. Exciting flavors and textures. We ate ourselves sick.
Standard seating is NOT indoor seating. There needs at be specifics between the choosing of outdoor and standard seating on here
The food was phenomenal! I love small plates and all the pricing was very fair for the quality!
Food was good but service was rushed and a little rude
Overall I enjoyed the Little Donkey experience. We started with yellowtail and salmon crudo which was okay but a bit over seasoned. Also oysters and little necks which were nice. Then shared lobster pasta, a hamburger, ghost pepper fried chicken and something else which I can’t remember (couldn’t have been too memorable). Overall the food was respectable, good but not great. We did have some drinks, really enjoyed the Bette Davis. In summary, Little Donkey is a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there!
Love Little Donkey! Yummy interesting food and cocktails.
Everything was SO salty. My fiancé ordered the kimchi fried rice with shrimp. $25 fried rice and barely made a dent because it was inedible. My food was also very salty, but not as so we nibbled on that. Drinks were great. Service was weird. The waitress was really unfriendly. Our nachos came out before our drinks, literally within 2 min of ordering. Bill came out to over $200 for the two of us. We left pretty disappointed. We come here often but after that, I’m not sure we will.
This is hands down my favorite place in town! The servers are awesome; the food is SO yummy; and the cocktails are always delicious.
And for right now, they have tons of space heaters and the tables outside are far apart and I felt totally safe and comfortable during our meal!
The food is inspiring and delicious and the atmosphere the staff is able to create one of celebration. Just trust that everything on the menus is fun, fantastic quality and so creatively executed. A real labor of love
Even though the portions may seem small, you’ll get full quickly. The food is amazing from presentation to deliciousness. I would definitely recommend the manti and the jerk chicken. I will comeback to try more items on the menu because the ones I’ve tried so far was delicious.
Great setting outside with plenty of room between tables--ask for a seat under the lights. Food was outstanding--inventive and delicious. We ordered 8 between 3 people and it was almost too much. Favorites include Korean short ribs, Phat, Octopus and Chicken nachos!
Little Donkey is always amazing but especially right now, they were diligent and very safe while still serving up incredible food!
Request Dana to be your server, he’s great at his job and makes you feel like you’re eating a homies house. We had a great time and were recommended really good choices to share and eat individually. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Great food, great drinks, and great service! I would highly recommend!
Delicious! Great and interesting food. Good COVID precautions and lots of space heaters.
they are doing such an amazing job in this nightmare of covid. i sat outside in the rain and 38 degrees but everyone was kind. helpful and upbeat. good as always. amazing
Outdoor seating. Amazing cocktails! Seating is at the backside of the restaurant, you have to walk through the restaurant to get there.
Great dinner outside under the open-air tent. Food was excellent as always--interesting dishes and high-quality ingredients. Nice natural wine list. Service was great. Highly recommend if you're trying to find somewhere to eat outside.
I am a foodie and this place is one of my favorites. The food is delish and unique I definitely recommended
Great outdoor setup for Covid (and very clean), but it was a chilly day...we were under a tent and there were no heat lamps nearby. The service and food were excellent, as always, though our food wasn't hot by the time it made it to our table. As far as COVID dining is concerned, it was one of our better experiences, but not quite up to par with our usual Little Donkey experiences.
Delicious food and a fun vibe. Kudos to making the most of the current situation and allowing us to have a nice outdoor dining experience during the pandemic.
It was over - a bit overpriced. Good atmosphere but a bit cold.
Everything tasted AMAZING and we got a great special on the oysters which were also fantastic. Cocktails were delicious and unique.
Really great food as always. We sat on the back patio which was nice even though it was chilly outside. The table was really tiny, which is tricky for a small plates style, but the service was good and the food is excellent.
An enjoyable time at Little Donkey - great cocktails (I'd have preferred my Beast of Bourbon without ice though), great 5-6 p.m. $1 oyster deal, their amazing cucumber salad and a very good pickle brined fried chicken sandwich. My husband was really disappointed in the burger, though, the one negative. Server was excellent.
Little Donkey is great. The food and cocktails were a delight. The one thing I'd suggest, in the middle of a pandemic where everyone has to eat outside, in a place like Boston where it's cold, is to bring out some heat lamps. The inside of the restaurant was loaded up with unused heat lamps. Why? It was quite cold outside. It's only going to get colder.
It was our first time having Brunch here and it was spectacular! Hot coffee on the back patio, adult beverages and delicious dishes like the corn flake crusted French toast, patatas bravas, and Vietnamese Crepe were standouts. Playlist was upbeat and hit the mood perfectly, and service was super friendly as always. Highly recommend this spot!
The food here never disappoints.Lots of vegetarian options.
Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing.
an extra outdoor heater would have been nice, but given the situation, they have done everything they can. Wear warm clothes!
We had forgotten how much we love the food at Little Donkey!
The service was amazing, the food was spectacular.
I always have an amazing meal at Little Donkey!!!
The food and service were wonderful. We ate on the patio because of the covid-19 precautions and it was really delightful. I can't wait to go back.
