Actually it was a family get together. The food was very creative and good. The service was excellent. The prices were fair. I recommend Little Donkey for brunch!
We had great cocktails and great food. Ordered 5 plates and that was satisfying for 2 hungry adults. Really enjoyed the dessert ice cream sandwich and after dinner drinks.
The service was poor. The food was delicious but the serving sizes were small compared to how the dishes were priced.
Great restaurant and very accommodating! The food was delicious!
Extremely underwhelming. All hype, no execution
The food here went way beyond my expectations. I am still craving the fried squid appetizer! One of the best things I've ever eaten.
I had a great time at Little Donkey! The girl I took here kept bringing up weird conspiracy theories about some pizza parlor in DC (idk) but overall the restaurant was great!
The offerings are somewhat limited but all are interesting. The food was very well prepared and tasty. Because of the emphasis on small plates, the food appears rapidly, even when in succession, but overall one does not feel rushed. The noise level is high and the lighting is quite low for reasons that are not clear. A bit more light would be helpful. Overall a very nice venue, based on food that is of good quality.
I wish there were more vegetarian dishes on the menu. But the food otherwise was outstanding!
Love how creative this cuisine is! We ordered 7 plates to try among 4 people and we enjoyed all of them. We went at 5, so we experienced a gradual darkening of the ambience. It got hard for us (and other guests we noticed too) to see the menu. However, our server was great at offering recommendations!
Great food. Tuna tarter was amazing! Service was also great. Noise level was extremely loud.
We really enjoyed our dinner experience but didn't look closely at the bill and afterwards found a $15 charge that wasn't ours. Aside from that, it was AMAZING!! Food was delicious and hot and the wait staff was quite attentive.
They ran out of at least 5 choices from the printed menu... disappointing
Nice place for friends to gather for brunch
I absolutely love Little Donkey. Probably my favorite restaurant in all of Cambridge. The small plates are awesome and I could eat the Phat Lao every day of the week.
They turned down the lights to much so people had to using there phone lights to see the menu. It was my birthday they only gave me a candle. Pretty cheep
You can barely read your menu, something needs to be done to the lightning system to at least allow us to read our menus. You see everyone using their phones when reading the menu.
Overall food was great, interesting mix of flavors. Service was good, everyone was attentive.
Great great service and knowledge of the food. Interesting menu and good portions. Best of all-the food was absolutely wonderful. We'll be back.
Great place for Drink and Food. Awesome atmosphere!
Interesting, eclectic menu. Chicken sandwich was good but really small, almost a slider for $12. Crab toast lacking in crab, mostly tasted the dressing. Great patatas bravas, probably as good as any in Spain. Overall, I'm not sure I'm a fan of Little Donkey as it's not cheap and portions are on the small side. Hard to say because I'm a huge fan or Oringer and Bissionette's food.
We have been to Little Donkey many times. Our server was incredible. The food was even better than last time! Unit Rangoon’s were fantastic. The Fois Gras was ridiculously good!
I always have a great time. Never any complaints on my end!! Always excited and ready to come back to try new things!!
Great portions and eccellent service. Accommodating to food allergy and helpful with questions.
Didn’t like it
Great first time at LD. Great service and vibe and even better food. Will be back!
Tries too hard to be something and unfortunately does not deliver. Toro is better.
Incredible. Outstanding customer service especially from the host and manager. Bringing out the food timely was done so well.
Conversation drowned and overwhelmed by ambient noise, impossible to have a social gathering in this place.
food wants to stretch the edges out and be edgy but without careful execution ... lamb was burnt, tomato salad was so spicy we couldn't touch it, subtle hamachi was destroyed by a combination of spices that obliterate its flavor.
Very good branzino baked in banana leaf.
Sorry, not coming back.
Little Donkey is wonderful. So many bold flavors and different types of food. I love small plates. I love the Asian and Latin influence. The drinks are great. Get the pupusa- it’s amazing.
Dope as always
Very good food, excellent service, and some inventive drinks. My only knock is the seating is very, very tight. Need more elbow room!
Went on a recommendation from a fellow “foodie” friend. Amazing menu choices, great atmosphere, unique and interesting flavor combos with a distinct depth, food will not disappoint here, definitely going back!
We ate there for brunch, with my 5yo and 7yo. We all shared several dishes, and they were all fantastic. We ordered the Nutella waffle, the brioche french toast, the khachapuri (with scrambled eggs), B.E.L.T. and the Carnitas Hash. The Hash was my absolute FAVORITE dish there. So yummy!
Nice place for lunch. Interesting raw bar/crudo seafood plates. Creative cocktails.
Been several times and have always been pleased. Took a friend who was a bit skeptical. She loved it!
Also, we had a reservation for 6:30. We had a terrible time getting there and called to say we would be late. Although the hostess wouldn’t promise to hold our table it was there when we arrived at 6:50. Thank you so much!!
The food was delicious and the tastes of each dish quite distinct. The service was very goid. We did nit care for the high ceilings and the noise level was annoying.
Great food. Interesting and eclectic options combining a wide variety of cuisine influences. Nice wine selections as well.
In all my times at this restaurant, I have NEVER had a bad meal. Everything about this restaurant is consistently OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!
Little donkey was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. We had George as our waiter and he was amazing, he made great suggestions for food and drinks and we loved everything he recommended to us! Highly recommend the restaurant, and dishes to try are: the squid ink fusilli, and the salt and pepper blow fish! Will definitely be returning to dine there again.
My husband and I went here for a date and loved everything we ate! I’m pregnant, so I couldn’t enjoy everything, but our server was knowledgeable and helped guide our choices based on my restrictions. Each plate was staggered which allowed us to enjoy everything we ate. We will definitely go back!
