Service was amazing. Food was even better. A little pricey for tapas, but food was worth it! Will go back many times!!
Interesting menu items and every one is delicious (we had 7 dishes)!! Good wine pairings. Excellent and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend this (as well as Toro!).
Pricey but about right for the quality of the cooking.
Everything we had was well prepared and tasteful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Boston!
This was the first time I went to Little Donkey with a picky eater, but we were still able to find a few options to share that weren’t too spicy or exotic, so it was another great meal and I got to have the whole plate of tuna poke to myself!
Waitstaff was great in making recommendations for both wine and small plates. Truly a great food experience and just the right amount with 4 small plates for 2 including cucumber salad, long green bean, ravioli and waffles w/crab. Great atmosphere for samplings; can’t wait to go back for more!
On point as always
Everything at this restaurant tastes so good! Cocktails are solid too. You get what you pay for.
Little donkey was excellent! Very friendly staff, excellent food, and good service. Would especially recommend the crudo and hummus. The cookie dough dessert was good too. 10/10!
Brunch at Little Donkey is always fantastic. The menu is fun and inventive and the execution is great.
Shout out to the tall hostess on Pride Saturday who helped my party by pushing back the reservation and still accommodating us when my sister and I arrived early after all! (Sorry I forgot your name!) The portions were good, not too much yet not too little. The Turkish brunch pizza special was so good and breakfast pizza will now be the new quiche in my life.
The food was excellent. Service was a mix of patronizing (waitress) and surly (bar staff)
Great as always
All was great! The food for Dinner was Exceptional! Service: Friendly and spot on! Don't miss The Wok Fried Long Beans! Everything was perfect....except when I picked up my fork and knife. The "silver ware" could have been from a kids summer camp cafeteria, or from the dollar store. It bent when I used it. Not a deal breaker, but I was surprised since everything else was so good!
Excellent amazingly unusual foods. Great sharing tapas. Welcoming attentive and accomadating staff. A little loud for my old ears. But would not stop me from return visit. Fun experience.
Nice place. Not very much available for vegetarians but I enjoyed what I had, burrata/salad and hummus with warm bread. Good cocktails.
This was a Brunch on a Sunday. Food was good, service was good.
The reservation was scheduled for 2:45 just prior to closing the brunch and an hour before opening the dinner service. I would suggest that someone not book at this time, everything seemed rushed as employees were trying to wrap up for the next service.
This is my fourth time at Little Donkey and it never disappoints! Service is always great and food is out of this world.
The Wok cooked green beans were outstanding. Other than that the food was just good, not great. The risotto was terrible.
Great food but too loud to have a conversation
Great place to meet friends for dinner!
The bartenders are great and the interior is sleek but that’s about it. I told the busboy I wasn’t finished and he took the half finished plates away Anyway. One minute later another woman came by to clear the plates. Isn’t there a floor manager? Food is nothing special compared to sinners and saints or Barcelona or lots of other tapas places. Small portions without much imagination in flavors or presentation.
Best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. HANDS DOWN. Food is savory and well crafted. Fire playlist. On point staff. Exquisite ambiance.
Ate lunch there. Multiple appealing choices. The service was friendly and efficicient and the food was exceptionally tasty creative twists on common offerings.
Amazing dinner. Nothing by good things to say. Couldn't possibly recommend it higher.
Of the four dishes I shared, three were outstanding. I loved the sea bass, the scallops and the beef tartare. I don’t remember the name of the fourth. It was under Salads. It certainly wasn’t a salad and reminded me of Fluff. It was not that good either visually or taste-wise.
The chocolate and peanut butter dessert was unpleasant for me because I do not enjoy the “spiciness” that characterizes it.
Overall the experience was good. However I am an octogenarian and the noise level was too much for me. Would I go again? Yes, definitely for the food but NO for the overall experience.
Great food! Tooloud
Outstanding food, stimulating to the palate
This place is the best! So many good tapas options. Amazing drink menu
Food and service great...but super noisy and at a table for 4, you can barely hear the person next to you, so you are forced to talk loudly... I literally came home with no voice.
It’s always too dark
Lunch with a friend. Pretty noisy from the beginning and seated at the table next to a very loud person, but they could change our seat. They messed up our order but comped for the wrong item and gave us free appetiser for the long wait. Food was really good. Will return to try other lunch items.
We had a delicious late lunch and enjoyed the inventive menu and each of the various dishes we tried. Our favorite was the fried squid and the ceviche but we devoured every dish we ordered (including the fried chicken sandwich) and the creative drink we had was tasty too. We arrived for lunch after 2pm on a Tuesday so it was very quiet but I imagine it can be loud when the restaurant is full; who cares when you are eating such delicious food though. Run, don't walk, to Little Donkey.
Impeccable food and service. It is however so dark I could barely see the food, and given how nicely plated it would behoove the restaurant to put a candle or dim light at each table. The tap water also tasted like chlorine.
Little Dinkey is a nice place to have great Tapas. I was traveling alone and wanted something “Boston.” I was pleased with the service - everyone seemed the know their roles and helping each other with ordering, serving and bussing.
The Oysters, Yuzu Uni and Foie Gras were fabulous.
I left satisfied that I experienced Little Donkey - a great representation of great food, people and “Boston”
One of the best brunches I have ever had. In particular, the pastry basket, torta, french toast and smoked salmon latkes were amazing. The white russian cocoa puffs were a perfect way to end the meal as well.
I liked the online description of this restaurant. I found it too loud to talk to my dinner date. Also, there were several people who serviced our table and none of them were particularly friendly. One tried to take our plate away twice (we weren't eating slowly) we just wanted to savour the little bits left in the dish. My brine chicken fried sandwich was over cooked with the coating too tough to enjoy an way too much boring uninventive hot sauce. The other dishes we tried were good.
