Amazing good and staff who treated us well on our special day.
So amaZing. Great service and AMAZING soundtrack to our sales lunch.
Excellent menu - Great drinks - fun, friendly feel.
Great every day foodie option with delicious Asian flavors. The Vietnamese Bologna was a fave, as were the beans.
Our server was super friendly and helpful during our brunch experience. The food was delicious. Try the corn flakes French toast. It’s to die for.
I would say however that the staff were overwhelmed and we had a hard time flagging anyone down. It was often 5-10 minutes each time I tried to get anyone’s attention.
Other than that, it’s a really fun place with a hip, relaxed vibe.
Food was amazing. Wanted to eat everything. Restaurant is rather loud and crowded for our liking- tables very close together.
Awesome food. Our server was excited about the food and made our time really enjoyable. The pork dish was out of this world. We would definitely come back here. The ambience was bit too dark for our taste - that’s the only negative I have of this restaurant.
the foood was delicious, but it was so loud in there and the tables are so close to each other, i’m pretty sure our neighbors heard our entire conversation
Noodles and tacos not the best
Service was great!!
Chicken sandwich hot and messy was good
My second time going to Little Donkey and it was stellar as usual. The food is spectacular and being tapas size you get a chance to have tons of variety. If I could go every week I would. Definitely going every season to try new menu items!!
The ambiance is good. Feels bustling. Noodle dishes were undercooked, for example the ramen was clumped together, making me doubt it is freshly made. Overpriced.
Excellent food and interesting drinks! A lovely night out.
Delicious cocktails, good selection of wine and very imaginative small plates. Fantastic especially if you love seafood ... otherwise there are a few (also delicious) options. Overall pretty heavy though and on the pricey side
The food was amazing and would absolutely go there again. The restaurant was a little dark for my taste (probably because it felt more like a var) but overall it was a great experience.
It’s just bad food. Over complicated, over sauced, over seasoned, bad pacing. And it’s so dark it doesn’t really matter what the plating looks like. Hot sloppy mess.
I didn’t realize that it was small plates.
My issue is that all the dishes seemed overworked (as small plates tend to be) a bit oily and over flavored. I craved a cleaner dish but didn’t
Great food good service
I AINT TRYNA WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR SOME AL DENTE TOP RAMEN
Little Donkey is always delicious - and their portion sizes are perfect. Not too big, and not too small. I was also happy to try a new wine while there, and it was great!
Amazing as always
We probably ordered too much, but the hamachi, deviled egg, and drink specials made our NYE one to remember. The cacio e pepe with truffles was super decadent and delicious. Service was A++.
Second time here and everything was really delicious. Service was terrific, with knowledgeable, unpretentious servers. Highly recommend.
Interesting and varied plates accompanied by an upbeat but classy atmosphere
My fiancé and I went to Little Donkey to celebrate our recent engagement and it was a great experience! Really enjoyed the food and cocktails and appreciated the free champagne! Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back.
The food was pretty good. We went for Brunch on the 30 of December. The service was pretty bad, no one checked in on us enough that most of our group ended up getting coffee at another place. Had service been better they probably would have been able to order coffee/drinks. I had the toad in the hole which is is a miso banana bread with a habanero sausage and a sunny side egg. My egg was over so it didn’t run and the habanero sausage didn’t taste like habanero. So I was disappointed. My partner had the carnita hash and that was really good. Overall very creative dishes and good ambiance. Maybe they had some people call out during the tight holidays week. Would try again for sure.
Our waiter Matt was amazing as was the manager at the door.
The Bartender Robert never fails on creating the best personalized cocktails.
I love this place.
Great for sharing small plates - there’s so much on the menu that begs to be tried!
Wonderful brunch: wonderful, friendly service and a balanced menu that appealed to everyone in the family.
Terrible ventilation resulting in odour
Met friends for brunch. Staff was friendly and service was good. We enjoyed sitting at the high top tables and ordered four dishes between the three of us. All were good--the server was helpful in making choices.
Appreciated that the restaurant has taken the care to build acoustic panels into the ceiling so that although the restaurant is mostly hard surfaces, we were actually able to hear each other well and have a relaxed conversation without shouting at each other, even though there were restless children at a nearby table. For this reason I will definitely go back. It also has a great vibe and all our dishes were tasty and a slightly different twist on standards.
Excellent food and service
Great service and food! We had the General Tso Wings, Pickled Brine Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Impossible Burger (beef version). Everything was great!
Love this place! Great food, innovative, friendly wait staff.
Had a great time at Little Donkey. The special cacio e pepe with truffle was to die for! Best part of the meal for sure. Also, feel free to forgo the cookie dough dessert for the lemon parfait instead - creative and the perfect end to our dinner.
It was my first time to Little Donkey and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. The food was delicious and eclectic. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. We have about 8 different small plates and would highly recommend the wings, street noodles, shashimi and Tuna Poke; basically everything!
Cool vibe as well. Can't wait to go back.
We hit Little Donkey on a quiet Thursday 1pm after Christmas. The food was all delicious and the servers had time to explain many of the unusual dishes to us. I had been there once before and it was packed with people and a bit noisy over the lunch hour. But if you go at an off peak hour you will be rewarded with a truly great dining experience !
Food was OK, nothing special.
The pricing however, particularly for beers and wines, was completely out of whack.
$12-15 for a glass of wine... $10 for beers..
This seems to be Ken Oringer’s perennial formula- small, average, overpriced plates and beverages. I wouldn’t go back.
Fun lively place.
Small plates with a creative twist. Professional, warm service. Good drink list and they know how to mix a cocktail.
Only complaint was that we arrived at five when they opened, with a reservation, and the restaurant was 20% full and the hostess attempted to seat us at a bad table. We did ask for another, and were accommodated. Still, first impressions matter.
However, we will go back. Food and service made up for it.
Excellent waitstaff, terrific service and a delicious meal!
Try impossible burger, bread softly and burger tasty!
