Food was better then expected, especially the pizza and salads! Was really empty, but got an annoyed call from hostess when we were 5 minutes late for our reservation only to arrive flustered and rushed to find the place absolutely empty. Seems to limit reservations for some reason when there are tons of empty tables.
Perfect location for our meal before a Chase Center event.
I beer and pizza hall - all but 4 beers were sold out. All pizzas sold out - at 6pm! Understaffed, nobody could give us a napkin. Took an hour to get our food. Someone spilled and they threw a rag on our table. Someone needs to bust in with new management to save this place. Super convenient to Chase center and could be great if run correctly.
Good drinks. Good food but a little limited. Great place to go before Cirque du Solieil.
Attentive service, wedges are always great and so was the Lamb Merguez pizza
Fish Tacos, pizza & Cesar salad were outstanding! We just wished they had French fries for the kiddos.
Noisy to the point of not being able to hear our friends. Waiter was too cool. Food was marginal at best. The pizza was like something a child would eat. Very uninspiring and not worth the price.
Great place for pre-show across from Big Top at Oracle Park. Met up for drinks with friends. Learned that it is an australian originated, but food had Hawaiian and other mixes. We had breakfast sandwich, wedges, brisket sandwich, salads and beers - everything was stellar.
Have been to LC a few times - for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent with big portions. The service has always been attentive and professional. The only problem this time was that all three of our meals came out at separate times. And our two apps arrived after the last entree.
Outstanding service and ambience. Beers were exceptional as were the mussels.
A perfect place to stop before Amaluna. Went for an early dinner and had a brisket burger which was very tasty. The salad was plain, the side of fries were good. Wine and beer were high priced and the pizza was good. Service was terrific.
Tasteless, bad, overpriced food, ok beer, good wait staff
Although the end experience was a lot better the first hour was a horrible experience.
I arrived 24 minutes early and they were able to seat us early which was as great. The place was pretty empty, maybe 5 tables including ourselves.
Almost the whole 24 minutes later we finally got water and a waitress. She took our drink and food order. 15-20 minutes after we still did not receive our drinks or any food. So we asked the hostess about the beer. She came back and apologized but the order wasn’t put in. I asked about our food and she went to check on it but no clue if it was put in or not.
By this time a large table showed up and the restaurant started to fill up. Another table actually got up after being ignored and sat at the bar (something we should have done).
Almost an hour after being there we were still waiting on food, and the waitress came to apologize to which she asked how she could make it better. We needed to be out of there by 7:45 was our goal. 1 hour and 15 minutes after we arrived. She allegedly said there was a printer issue but we were also told the order wasn’t put in the system. It’s annoying that she tried to blame it on their computer/printer system. When she never even checked in. She walked by several times and should have noticed we didn’t have drinks or food.
We didn’t get our food until almost being there 1 hour and got another waiter which I think was one of the bartenders. Josh was awesome. We saw him more times than the waitress in the last 20 minutes we were there.
The GM and Josh apologized again but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you sit at the bar.
Light, airy location near Oracle Park and the Chase Center. Creative food with great service! The pizza's were light and delicious.
Would recommend but with the caveat to be prepared for a noisy environment. Food good and service fast. Staff friendly.
We had a great birthday dinner here! The service was fantastic and the sticky date pudding is a must-get!
Beer, wedges, and burgers were expensive but fine. Everything else was expensive and bad: stale bread, overcooked fried chicken, awful vegetable seasoning, and slow service. We won’t be back - shame as it’s two blocks from our office.
Bad service. Waited 30 minutes before asking about food. Then were told it would be another 45 minutes do to backup in kitchen. Backup did not seem to hold up others food. Waitress forget to put in order? We said forget the meal give us our check, which they did. Charging us full amount for beers we drank Waiting For Food they forgot to cook!!
Totally fun, delicious food and great service. Potato wedges are so yummy!
Fun atmosphere but if you don't have a reservation don't bother. Food is overpriced for how standard it is.
One of the few decent places in Mission Bay. Great beer, but average food. Very loud.
Food and service were good, disappointed in the beer a bit.
More attention to timing and quality of food. Hamburgers and fries should come with ketchup on the side without the need of asking for it.
This was our second visit and enjoyed it just as much as first. Steak sandwich is favorite but tacos very close second. Service is excellent. We sit at a table and love the fact that separate enough from bar to not feel crowded. Will go again when we are in that area.
Everything great except the construction made for an interesting challenge. But will go again.
Food was good, service was good but the noise level was ridiculous. It is not the place to go for a quiet casual meal.
Loved this place. Food, beer and service was impeccable. Really friendly staff and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back again and try more of the menu!
Still new so there are a few kinks to iron out. But overall it’s good and I’ll be back.
But a few top hits
- a brewery needs a good system to differentiate the 4oz beers. Our server had no idea so it was pot luck
- we split the check but one of our group was charged double
- there is a fat mirror in the bathroom
Ambiance and beer was good. Service was very poor, felt disjointed.
Enjoyed the spacious feel of the restaurant. Pretty much every dish was a hit (cauliflower, brisket burger, kale salad, and brownie). Would come back for sure when I'm in the area. Great for before the game to get a snack. Lots of bar seating too and plenty of beer on tap!
The food was excellent, but there are 2 things that I want to comment on:
1) The hummus for the Turkish Bread was awesome, and the nuts was an ingenious idea to give the hummus even more texture. However, the bread wasn't anything special. I don't know if you might be a able to do something different with the bread.
2) Unfortunately, the Kale Salad (I know you used Arugula instead of Kale) was a real miss. The peaches were too ripe, the ricotta didn't add to the flavor, too much oil, and it need some more apple cider vinegar.
Excellent location near the stadium and in Mission Bay. New construction will be very nice when finished. Beer was excellent, food was good.
