Little Chicago Chophouse
During the Prohibition era, Shakopee was a place where Twin Cities residents retreated for underground bars, widespread gambling and thick steaks. That reputation earned the city a nickname: Little Chicago.
Little Chicago Chophouse is your home for specialty cocktails and thick steaks, just steps from the Canterbury Card Casino floor.
Reservation for 11am Sunday brunch with family including children, had to get an escort across casino floor because of the kids with us. This was not stated on website.
Seated promptly at 11, not busy at all. Water and drink orders at 11:10, drinks and food order at 11:20, 3 Carmel rolls served for 6 people at 11:32, food came at 11:45, my eggs benedict was cold, waiter asked how we were doing and I stated “miserable”, said sorry and walked away. Second round of drinks came at 11:55. Slow and underwhelming in every aspect. Charged full amount of $136 for a terrible experience.
It took 1.5 hours to get our main entree. We had to go to an outside bar to get a drink. Food was excellent, service sucked
