Little Bird, the bistro by the team behind Le Pigeon, is open from 11:30 to midnight during the week, and from 5 to midnight on the weekends. The food and ambiance are inspired by the bistros of Paris, but are Portland at heart. Little Bird features a great bar, and a large selection of wines with a focus on French, as well as a selection of local options.

This was our first time dining at Little Bird. We loved the food, especially the carrot soup and chicory salad, and service was wonderful. A very charming place!

This is an excellent lunch choice. We had salads and sandwiches, which were delicious. The highlight this time was the brown butter cake. It was absolutely superb!

A semi-casual spot for great food and wine among family and friends. The charcuterie board was brilliant and the burger was just what I expected. Cannot go wrong with the Little Bird and Le Pigeon standard!

I am always interested in restaurant like these and decided to dine there last night. Sat at the bar, and the evening started well. First cocktail was reasonable, bar the need to feel I needed to wave my hands at the bartender to get his attention. Ordered the steak and fries, which came out piping hot and was delicious. To go with this, asked the bartender for a recommendation of a red wine. He suggested a glass, and on first taste I could immediately tell the wine was not good. Asked him to taste, and he tasted himself, and proceeded to tell me I was wrong and the wine was fine. I ordered another wine, I know when wine is not good. No attention during my meal, or checkin from the bartender despite him standing in front of me the whole meal. After dinner, the bill came before any comments. Checked it, and it looked fine, around $50. I ordered a coffee, and he ran my card. The receipt was returned to be signed $110. Asked for the bill again...with some distain, he looked at me and proceeded. And he then realized he had over charged my card. He promptly core up the receipt, despite me asking to keep a copy. The he charged my card again, and said he voided the previous charge with very little apology. When asked for the confirmation receipt for voiding the charge..he could not present it and stated he didn't know how to print it. This whole debate was on going in front of other guests. Finally a more sincerely apology. But by this time I was tired of this attempt to disregard the mistakes that had spoiled my dinner. I walked out disappointed, and as I passed the manager, he seemed oblivious to the event despite him apparently needing to void the mistaken charge. Poor form, your bartender would take a waiters course, and loose the attitude as it's not helping the restaurant in any way.

The food was good. It was a bit pricey for my budget. I can have really good food in Portland with out spending $200 for three of us. Glad I had a gift card that make the sticker shock a little better.

Met a colleague for lunch. The menu options were limited. Nothing fresh on the menu - all friend and or heavy. Only one salad option and i was a very small plate as we saw one arrive at the next table and they proceeded to order another dish. The vegetable sandwich while tasty, lacked the full list of veg outlined in the menu. It was a roasted cauliflower sandwich. And mostly bread so the ratio of filling to bread was way off. The cashew spread/sauce was yummy. Overall the sandwich was a miss because it essentially was cauliflower and bread. Little Bird should offer more salad options or at least a fish that's not fried.
