Food was great and eating outside on the deck was quiet and comfortable.
Food was fantastic. Service was fantastic. Drinks were fantastic. The place was beautiful. Couldn't want anything more!
Food was fantastic and loved the outdoor seating
Belle soirée tout était parfait
Loved the ambience, the service was upbeat, efficient, and friendly. I took off some stars because my $17.00 "specialty" cocktail came in this ridiculously small glass. I don't mind paying premium prices for tasty and well crafted cocktails, but my pet peeve is when they arrive in TEENY glasses and/or are PACKED to the brim with ice. The size of this cocktail was laughable for $17.00. It was in this "baby" martini style glass. And my lobster roll, while tender and very fresh, had a minuscule amount of lobster in it for $30.00. I noticed the woman at the next table faired a bit better with much more lobster piled in her roll. Luck of the draw I guess. But even with all of that, we did have a pleasant, relaxing lunch. Oh and I almost forgot...to be fair...our baked brie app with crostini was fabulous! So both highs and lows! But would try one more time...
Nice option that isnt a full 4 course dinner but same quality of delicious food. Lots of ways to substitute for GF
Food and place was great! I think our server was new as she didn’t know much and made a few mistakes
Great experience. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the bolognese was delicious. Always good food and incredible service. Our waitress, Alicia, times our courses perfectly allowing us to really enjoy each course! Will be back for sure!
Phenomenal food, great service!
Wonderful setting! Loved the slightly more informal approach but still superb service!
My wife and I have dined here often..it’s always the same …..great. Food and service are outstanding…atmosphere is excellent.
Beautiful place, delicious food!
The food and ambiance couldn't have been better - I'll dream of the burrata on sourdough with honey and pine nuts! Our server was relaxed but very attentive. This is a great spot for any foodie.
The restaurant was nice. The service was great and the food was overall good. The deviled eggs were bland and had almost no pickled beet flavor which was disappointing. The seared halibut and flat iron steak were excellent, but the lobster macaroni and cheese (made with orzo) was like eating a plain pimento cheese dip and I would not recommend.
Beautiful location, excellent service and great food!
It was fine. Service was attentive and food was good especially the Brie appetizer. But the place was not lively at all and the menu was fairly limited
Food was poor but service was good. Also outside seating had no fans. It was a muggy night. Expected much more from white barn management.
We had asked for outdoor seating on our reservation but it was raining. The hostess took us past the beautiful inside area to a porch with the plastic flaps installed. She sat us exactly next to a family with two children in a completely empty room except for that family. Before we had chance to ask for inside seating she was gone and the little family was apologizing for their two relatively well behaved boys. It would have been helpful if the hostess recognized the poor table choice and offered to move us. When we left the dining room was still not full.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Amazing food, ambience and the service was extraordinary.
$18 for a 1/2 pour on glass of wine. Lobster roll plate was 80% fries, When I found it…it was lite on lobster in a grilled bun, nothing to write home about. I’ve had much better ones on the Cape and in CT. Polenta was great, but Bolognese was over salted and more of an appetizer. All in all, I wouldn’t return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Staff was very attentive and
Friendly. Food was delicious and will definitely return.
It was wonderful! Staff was beyond personable. We will be back.
My husband’s steak was good but my $24 burger was a overdone hockey puck with mediocre fries. It was Terrible The strawberry shortcake was good. Service was fine and the ambience was nice.
Amazing service. Excellent food.
Divine dinner and ambience. Will definitely return when we visit Maine again.
We really enjoyed Little Barn. Our server was fantastic, the food was so good (loved the Brussels), and the barn is so unique and romantic. Highly recommended!
Food was good but not anything special. Same quality elsewhere at half the price. Staff exceptional.
There is a reason The White Barn is in the “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” book. It is a dining experience not to be missed. My family and I had lunch at Little Barn on our drive back from our beautiful vacation in Surry Maine. We ate indoors and the ambience is lovely. As vegetarians, there were plenty of options for us. We highly recommend the turmeric pickled cauliflower for bites, the crispy brussels sprout chips for starters, the three cheese panini with creamy tomato soup for the daily, and molten brownie with salted caramel ice cream for dessert. Our server was excellent, and upon his recommendation we ordered the divine postcard from thailand and refreshing honolulu honey spirit-free drinks. Prices are very comparable to NYC prices. Our kids enjoyed the word search & coloring activity, as well as their meal (trying orzo for the very first time). We made reservations online, and our email queries were answered promptly. Make dining with loved ones at Little Barn or The White Barn part of your next trip to Maine.
Exceptional overall experience—We really enjoyed the casual luxury of this special destination. Service was thoughtful, friendly, and unobtrusive and the food was really top notch. Highly recommend.
This is the kind of place where the food hits all the right notes, the drinks are expertly crafted, and the service is top notch. I would come back every week if we lived in the area. Superb dining experience, even for lunch!
Great food and amazing service
Excellent food and service !! Dining room was a little too loud but tolerable
Hard to believe anyone would choose to dine anywhere else for lunch. An amazing treat to be able to have such a lovely lunch in such a historic venue. Less expensive than other places in town to boot!
Great service and overall dining experience. We enjoyed great libations and the dinner was excellent.
Double date on 4th of July weekend. Little barn was a little slice of heaven with a quiet cozy atmosphere. Sound of the piano playing in the main restaurant carried over to our table and it was perfectly comforting. Food was great and server was very knowledgeable. Would totally recommend!
While it is called "The Little Barn" you can expect the same quality of service and food offered at The White Barn Inn. Which is exceptional.
The staff are amazing and the food is always delicious!
