We both got house specialty meals which were great! Great service.
Sunday lunch on the patio. Very busy streets and sidewalks. Mojitos generously poured, Fresh salsa and guacamole, just excellent (and I'm not usually a guac-fan)! Chicken tortilla soup with just enough zing, and an excellent taco salad. Attentive service (thanks, Margo!). Trouble with yellowjackets at some tables, which was a little disruptive. But they get more active this time of year.
Food quality was very good, the Margarita was pretty syrupy sweet, not as I prefer them to be. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Food was great, probably one of best Mexican we have ever had.
I had a garlic steak enchilada and my husband had a BBQ chicken burrito. Both were so good. We can't wait until our next trip up to Duluth to have them again! The service was amazing as well!
Ate inside and felt totally safe. Margarita not real strong and rice and beans with chimichanga were luke warm. Steak fajita was great.
Wait staff was unenthused at best. I know times suck, but don’t be so cold about being there, you might as well not be there at all. The food was sub par from what I remember it. We likely won’t be coming back next time we stay on the canal.
Good food, good service. The tables were adequately spaced so we felt comfortable eating on the patio.
My husband and I felt very safe with their covid precautions. Our waiter was very friendly and our food was great!
Food was cold, despite it only taking 10ish minutes from order to table. Margarita was all mix no tequila. Service was rushed.
The alcohol beverages tasted like nothing was in there. Just sweet smoothie essentially.
Avocado chicken salad could use A little more to it. Maybe Some tortilla strips, more chicken than the four pieces
We loved the area and location and were happy to get a table outside as it was a beautiful day. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the great location and weather. The quality of the food just was not good, I would suggest some quality control in the kitchen. Our server did not seem happy to see us arrive. A poor decision on our part to dine here, beware my friends.
This place has the best location in town, which must be why it has stayed in business because the food was pretty bad.
The service was good and we were seated outside. It is noisy closer in because they pipe in music, but we sat far out.
We shared shrimp fajitas and the shrimp part was good. We got beans on the side and that was a mistake. Somehow the beans were undercooked AND burned. Since they were clueless about cooking beans they should have just gone for canned.
Strangely, unlike many restaurants these days, no matter what the cousine, I doubt there was a single Mexican in this Mexican restaurant’s kitchen.
I would encourage you to stick to drinks and nachos at this place
Service was great - Margaritas were great - Loved the patio . My food however was pretty mediocre .. The cheese enchiladas were kind of dry - not much sauce and the Mexican rice that it came with was mushy and had clearly been sitting all day . The other two people with me did like their food . Would come again - just would not get the enchiladas
Love the margaritas here. Fajitas are not good. Nachos are tasty. No umbrellas outdoors so the sun beats down on you. All in all a decent place to dine.
My mojito and the chips and pico de gallo were fantastic! Unfortunately, my entree was not. I ordered veggie fajitas and the veggie mix did not have many onion or pepper strips but rather several very large pieces of carrot, zucchini, and pineapple which were too big to mix into a tortilla. My special order for the the entree with rice no beans, no cheese or sour cream, but with guacamole arrived all correct, which was appreciated. The guacamole was very bland, like mayo. It must have been diluted with some kind of cream. Overall I would go back, but for drinks and appetizers only. It wouldn't hurt to have a few more vegan options on the menu. Please consider.
Restaurant is in a great location and has a cool atmosphere but food was not worth the money. Very disorganized between outside seating and inside seating.
Our waitress, I am pretty sure her name was Allison, was excellent. Very attentive and super pleasant! The food came quick and was good.
Amazing safe tasty experience! Will definitely return! Tropical nachos and mucho margarita are a must! No wait at all for outdoor seating with open table!
Everything was great except our meals. My beef enchiladas were dryer than a bone! It was basically dry beef in a tortilla with sprinkled cheese on top. My husbands burrito dinner was like a kids meal. Chips & queso were good. Drinks were good. Service was good. I was expecting more from the looks of the building. The quality of food for the price won’t be bringing me back or recommending to others.
Too many peppers and onions in the steak burrito. Otherwise amazing! Chase is a great server.
We ate outside it was nice! Shyla did a great job.
Always a great place for Tex-mex food. Would recommend the seafood enchiladas and definitely the Longhorn grilled burrito.
Also the blood orange margaritas are delicious!
our waiter was very good. Food was not that great. would probably not go there again
It was nice sitting outside on a beautiful night and the service was good. The street tacos were so dry and no sauce, but overall we would go back
Great food, great service! The atmosphere was perfect.
The food was amazing! Our server was polite and efficient.
We were traveling, and enjoy stopping here for a meal. The only complaint is that when outside, so many people walking by walked so near our table space and wore no masks. That was very uncomfortable and quite rude.
Great food and drinks! Waitress was friendly, highly recommend!
Attitude from both outdoor and indoor hostess. Food was subpar. Was charged for chips and salsa but never offered refills.
4th of July. It’s was a fun and great time, A+ for accommodating us and when we asked for an umbrella they nabbed one quick.
Great food and great service. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
Enchiladas were taste, but needed more sauce, tortillas were dry. Chicken was very good. I asked for pico de gallo and added that, it was very good! Server was very pleasant. The food was a little slow to come out, especially considering it’s all basically precooked and ready to assemble. Eating outside in summer at Canal Park cannot be beat! Would go back and try something different. Prices were a little higher than I would have expected, but that may be the location.
Staff were courteous and friendly.
Salsa was very good. We had tacos and alsoo veggie fajitas. Food was not very favorable.
Great location but poor food. Margaritas are awful and taste like they’re made from a mix. Food is lacks authenticity, flavor and freshness.
Was looking for flavor and authenticity!
Great service, food just seemed to be a little bland!
Delicious seafood enchiladas and a huge variety of margaritas! Yum all around.
Had a great lunch with great service will be back
