   waitress was taking shots with other patrons while we sat there waiting for our food and water refills. food was pretty good for the msot part. burger was bland.

   Food and drinks were all great. Service was OK, took a while to place our order and second round of drinks, but was a Friday so not unreasonable!

   Service was not great. Our server was more interested in socializing with friends rather than paying attention to customers. Food was really good, mac and cheese = OMG. Sadly I don't think we'll return after the service we received.

   We have eaten at LITM a few times and each time the food has been consistently good. They have an interesting menu with seasonal specials. Service is always friendly. The place gets packed during happy hour the sound of the voices echoes and it get extremely loud in the dining room. Tables are pretty close to each other. The fun part about this place is the artwork for sale by local artist that is hanging on the wall. Overall an enjoyable place to grab reasonably priced comfort food in a unique atmosphere.

   I expected more after hearing about this. Everything was fried! It was like semi-upscale bar food. And it was loud - we went at 8pm and there was a DJ. Hard to talk to each other since it's a small place. Staff was very friendly and the art was good. But I wouldn't need to go back.

    This restaurant could best be described as confusing and disappointing, it was abundantly clear that there was no specific vision for the experience the restaurant wanted to provide. Service was subpar, food took 45 minutes to be delivered (in a half empty dining room on an otherwise busy Friday night), we were both disappointed in our food quality, and the decor/function of the restaurant sitting area versus the bar area was very confusing-we had no idea what to make of it. For example, there is no greeting/host at the front of the restaurant, guests planning to dine in have to make their way to the far side of the bar to be seated (without adequate signage). Also, the music volume and lights kept being adjusted by the staff which was disruptive to conversations...etc. If management could get a few things together LITM could possibly be a decent place to have a drink and appetizer after work or before dinner elsewhere. Anything less than that and I suspect that the establishment won't survive more than a few months. The numerous high end developments arising in Jersey City are turning the area into a hotbed of competent and competitive restaurants.
