Staff was awesome, even calling to confirm reservations with current global situation
All of us were delighted with our dining experience! We shared appetizers of smoked whitefish pate with roasted capers and pickled onions, bitterballen, which was shredded beef coated with breadcrumbs and then fried. The ribeyes were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The salmon had a crisp skin without being overcooked. Chef clearly knows what he is doing. Since the menu is a la carte, we shared side dishes as well, there was plenty! French fries were crunchy and hot, the whole basket disappeared! Hutspot (mashed potatoes, carrots and onions with a little gravy). It was marvelous! Steer clear of tomato salads until tomato season, not Chef's fault.
Since ours was a birthday celebration, we had dessert too! A fig semifreddo was inhaled as was the decadent chocolate concoction. Creme brulee was classic, vanilla custard and crunchy sugar crust, perfect!
It was my Mom's 89th birthday. Afterwards she said it was likely the BEST meal she had ever had! My mother has dined at all the old classic restaurants in the Cincy area. The White Horse, The Lookout House, Town and Country, etc. That's really saying SOMETHING!
We ordered well done steaks but they were pink so we asked to have them cooked longer. When they came back they were great. I ordered moscato and my glass had something in the bottom. I told the waiter and he gave me a new glass but it still had something in the bottom. He said maybe cork. He brought me a new glass for the 3rd time and finally it was clean.

First time to Lisse. Food was good and we had excellent service. It was a little loud for a quieter dinner, but the musician playing in the bar was very good. Split a strip, had the frites which were excellent. My wife had the onion soup which was the best she's ever had.
We did not have a wait. Great service and the steaks were Devine!

Had never been before. Interesting mix of Indo-Dutch appetizers/small plates along with perhaps the best filet I have ever had. The gooseneck gravy was fantastic- no gamey taste. It was luscious and we enjoyed it so much we ordered an extra gravy!
The mashed potatoe/carrot mix was pretty standard.
service was impecable and not rushed. Live performer was amazing, but not tooo loud.
Plenty of room for private events.

Nice, but not great. Food was okay but certainly shy of the price. Atmosphere was good and drinks were very good.
We had a wonderful evening. Had we have known about the upstairs seating we would have requested that when we made the reservations. We were seated at a table by the kitchen door and by the elevator. Also, when the front door opened there was a very cold breeze that came in.

It was my first visit, and the staff could not have been more engaging and helpful, from the history of the restaurant to appetizer and entree recommendations. It was Saturday night, and there was live music. The musician was spectacular, and added special color to our evening. Our server, Megan, was superb. Friendly, knowledgeable and very nice. She set an excellent pace for the meal, and personally kept checking in and ensuring that our food was prepared and served.
I plan to visit again, and would gladly recommend the restaurant to friends and family in the area.

For our first visit there, we had wonderful moments and some misses too. Service in the bar area was so attentive and immediate. Service in the main dining area was okay-some items ordered never made it to the table. Our server overall was very nice, but there was some miscommunication from her and the kitchen. Food was just okay for the price. I ordered the ribeye and it didn’t come with the butter topping, it didn’t wow me. The salad was yummy, fries were yummy, and the mac and cheese and brussel sprouts were also just okay. I would give it another try though.

We at at the bar on the 3rd floor. We wanted to try and soak in the partial view of the skyline. It was a Saturday night and the bar upstairs was relatively steady. Not insane busy but steady. However, there was only one bartender and maybe 25 patrons. Not ideal. The bartender/server was very sweet but the service was extremely slow.
The food was brought in a timely manner but honestly for what we paid, it was pretty subpar. The portions were so small and the taste was less than expected. The value was not there. We would have rather paid $10 more and gone to a higher end restaurant.
We went for the view and got that somewhat. So, for that, we are grateful. Likely won’t be back though.
Food was amazing. My husband is first generation American from the Netherlands so he enjoyed the Dutch cuisine and we all enjoyed the amazing steaks!!!!
Live music here is amazing
Everything was good, but not spectacular as it has been in the past. Overall just wasn’t worth the high price. Waitress was unsure of drink specials and had to look at menu for ingredients of desserts. My steak wasn’t as good as I remembered, very salty, sides were small, would rather go somewhere else for the price.
Great steak, up there with some of the best in town.
The service was top notch, from the bartender to everyone who helped with our table. We tried out two appetizers, the best was the fried cheese one, we also added the Dutch noodle dish as an appetizer, it was interesting and well worth trying. We all split dinners, the strip steak although expensive was excellent and a good size, the fish was very small more like a lunch portion but everyone enjoyed it. The Brussels sprouts were mushy, and odd, we had a group that love them normally but no one enjoyed these, the root vegetable mash was interesting a worth trying.

Our server was very attentive & when we spelled a drink on the table other staff members quickly cleaned the spill & replaced the drink.

Steaks were excellent. The service was good but lacked any personality or warmth. The ambience was not desirable. Overall we all agreed the environment was very sterile.

My wife and I had dinner and Lisse on New Year's Eve. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Definitely have plans to go back again. I definitely recommend this steakhouse. A++!
What’s going on here? For the last two years the quality of food and service have been phenomenal. That seems to have changed. There are too many other restaurants out there to risk a repeat of my most recent dining experience.
The quality of the food seems to have decreased drastically. The whitefish appetizer was lacking, and my wife’s salmon entrée was nothing but mediocre. The worst was my $52 dry aged strip steak. While properly cooked to medium rare, it was still bland, dry and tough.
We had multiple issues where the manager should have spoken to us, but didn’t. I told the hostess of a concern about the clothing of one of the other patrons which went unaddressed, and my wife found a shard of glass in her side of broccoli. Both were ignored and unacknowledged, except for the waiter questioning if we wanted something taken off our bill, which we declined. Our concern was glcontamination of other food in the kitchen.
In frustration, I spoke to the manager on the way out, and it was IMMEDIATELY obvious that she doesn’t deal with problems and absolutely didn’t want to deal with me. Could I have handled this better? Yes. Should she have been a receptive professional that’s supposed to be addressing customer concerns? Absolutely. Even if she had zero plans to resolve my concern, at least she should have talked to me and recognized problems existed.
So what do you currently get for the premium prices they charge? Mid to low level chain restaurant quality and the feeling your dining dollars would be better spent at a different restaurant.
We had reservations for 4 on Saturday at 5:00 pm. Used valet service, walked in front door and led to our table. cocktail and wine selection was fantastic, appetizers and meal was amazing. We all really enjoyed the restaurant and the bar upstairs. Staff was pleasant and very responsive. Already looking forward to next visit.
Great food, great service. Portion size was also reasonable for the price, sometimes uncommon at steakhouses.

We had a wonderful meal here late on a Saturday in December. Despite some challenges with availability (supplier shorted them on Filets), both he server and the manager could not have been more gracious. The alternative was one of the best ribeyes we have tasted. We will be returning to Lisse.
We went with friends a few weeks ago and totally enjoyed the quality of food and service. So we thought we would take our nieces. We were not impressed. The charcuterie tray was not as flavorful. One of the four steaks was overcooked. One was to order and the other two were adequate.
Great food. Couldn’t ask for better service. Overall we loved it. We will definitely return.
Service was great, food awesome, I'm a seafood lover so I had Seared Tuna, melted in my mouth, friends had steaks and loved them, desserts to die for! Can't wait to go back!!
