We recently dined at Liora for the first time on our anniversary and absolutely loved it. Neither of us are vegan (I am a vegetarian and my husband is an omnivore) but the dishes are so thoughtfully designed that anyone would love them. Staff was very friendly and attentive, and the cocktails and dishes were just as beautiful as delicious. We enjoyed the Old Bay chips with scallion dip, the War of the Roses (cocktail with our favorite Empress gin), the jackfruit crab cakes, the BBQ beets with Mac (super rich and creamy), and the smoky maitake. The deconstructed banana cream pie was amazing. We will definitely return.
Such a good restaurant! This was our second visit. First, IT'S BEAUTIFUL. Light and airy, big handsome room with lots of great greenery. I love the menu and vow to try most everything on each visit. The food is delicious, clever and inventive. Can't wait to return (to both restaurants, actually - we love Double Zero too).
We absolutely loved this unique styled vegan restaurant. The entry way for starters is very welcoming with a touch of oasis reeling.
The staff greeted us immediately after entering and we very pleasant to speak with. They reminded us of our noted restrictions on our reservation and seated us immediately.
We sat directly across from the Chefs kitchen so we got an actual grill to table experience.
The prep area was cleaned their Su-Chef was pleasant as well when bringing the food to our table.
With the first bite our waiter was there asking how was it and if we needed anything.
The food and drink was amazing to say the least and we will dine there more often!
This place is beautiful. The service was amazing (shoutout to Hannah) and the food is beautiful, creative, and delicious. There is a great ambiance, and delicious cocktails. We will definitely be back soon.
Delicious food, great drinks, outstanding service. It was the perfect birthday night dinner
Amazing food and service, love the ambiance of the resturant!
Great vegan food in a fabulous atmosphere. Great location as well.
Liora was understaffed and the food came out at random times. The staff didn’t seem to know where to take the food. Other than the service, the food was delicious. They gave us a free mac and cheese for our caesar salad being late. The restaurant is gorgeous on the inside and the bathrooms were clean
The menu at Liora is inventive with vegan classics like mac and cheez and new takes like bbq beets. They also have the best vegan cheese plate I've had. Great to have a new vegan dining option!
I went with a good friend and she is not plant-based. She took her first bite, and when she did I said "I wish I could've gotten a picture of your reaction!" It was obvious it was so good. And the MAC & CHEESE!!!!! I got some to go, as well! (: Will be back for brunch!
Very good food , the staff was very inviting and personable. The atmosphere was relaxing, fashionable and comfortable
This was our first visit to Liora. The restaurant has a pleasing and modern decor. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our server greeted us with menus very quickly. We each started with a gazpacho which was well-prepared and delicious. The entrees we selected were a curry roasted cauliflower with sweet potato and cashews, and bbq beets with macaroni and cheese. Each entree was very good, and we were happy with our choices. We did not order a dessert. The menu selections are quite pricey for a routine dinner out.
My husband learned of Liora while looking for out of town vegan restaurants. I have one upscale vegan restaurant in my home time. The rest are too casual. Liora had it all. Impeccable service, lovely ambiance, and delicious and imaginative food. Excellent. Cannot wait to try Double Zero when I am back in the area.
Was pleasantly surprised at the creativity and care that went into every dish. Beautiful presentation and delicious plates and drinks.
Awesome food and service! Another outstanding Matthew Kenny restaurant. Will definitely be back and recommend.
My girlfriend and I were really excited to try Liora during Vegan Restaurant Week. Unfortunately, she is allergic to pumpkin seeds which are an ingredient in the Barbacoa Tacos which we had as our appetizer, and she became very sick during the meal. Other than that, we had the BBQ Beets, Mac and Cheese, and Kimchi Slaw -the mac and cheese was pretty good, but my girlfriend did not like the way the beets were spiced. We also had the Smoky Maitake Mushroom, Cheesy Grits, and Shitake Bacon Braised Greens - Was ok, some of the greens had not been removed from the stalks which was offputting. I didn't like the seasoning that much.
Overall, I would say the food was so-so and the prices were kind of high, considering that the food is all plant-based.
Loved the homemade vegan cheese and lasagna. We will be back for more when in Baltimore.
Sorry but this place makes vegan food look bad.
Fabulous vegan food and experience
Food great service abysmal. Took 20 minutes before someone came over to even offer us water. Almost an hour for starters, another hour to get main. Our dirty dishes sat for an hour while we were waiting meanwhile I look around and see service staff chatting with each other and other customers. Has potential if there are major improvements with the service.
Great food - beautiful space - great night out with friends. Food very fresh and innovative - love Matthew Kenny's twist on plant based food.
Waitress was very rude, service was very slow (despite the restaurant not being very busy), and the food was uninspired with many vegetables undercooked. Only the drinks were good. Have eaten at much better vegan restaurants.
The presentation was spectacular and the food was amazing. This menu does a great job of leaning into foods that are really well suited to vegan cuisine. The ingredients were super fresh. The cheesecake was outstanding.
Beautiful space, approachable menu, delicious food. The price point is lower than anyone would guess by looking at the restaurant itself or how the dishes are presented! Absolutely would recommend to vegans and meat-eaters alike.
I went to Liora for my birthday and it was amazing! The raw lasagna and cheesecake were my favorites! Even my non-vegan friends loved it too. The atmosphere is relaxing and loved how much light pours into the restaurant windows!
Absolutely delicious…great service…beautiful presentation and atmosphere!!!
My birthday was awesome. The team at Liora was amazing the kitchen team above and beyond and Hannah is so nice knowable as well as the expo guy I forgot his name sorry. From the hostess with her warm welcome to the bartenders we will be back for sure! It was well worth the drive from DC.
Really friendly staff - the Smokey Mushrooms were so so good! We lingered a bit and staff were cool.
Delicious food. Attentive staff. Sleek ambiance. Did I mention delicious food?
We loved going to Liora during vegan restaurant month! We will be back
Don’t go in with any expectations. It’s vegan food made with ingredients outside of tofu or other soy products. It’s fine dining so they serve small portions of everything but they’re very filling. My only let down was the lack of service I initially received after arriving. No one served me for 20 minutes after I sat down. Not even a drink order and it made me feel embarrassed for dining alone. No they weren’t busy or short staffed.
We had an absolutely delicious meal, drinks and great service. We were very well taken care of - it was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely be back!
We have been to a few other Matthew Kenney restaurants and this one did not disappoint. AND, we are so fortunate to have one now so close to us in Baltimore! Expect the best, you won't be disappointed. Staff is also very sensitive to allergy concerns.
Vegan food, excellent service, great flavor
We had a lovely meal at Liora. The food was delicious and service was efficient and friendly. We appreciated the reduced parking price very much, but would be happier to not have had to pay for parking. Wish Baltimore had better public transport. :)
I love this place. I have the option now when it comes to a fine dine VEGAN restaurants. I don’t have to travel to DC as much. I will be going back for more food and Tall Sail drinks 😊. I also need to try their sister restaurant Double Zero. 😍😋
Decor and food styling were great! Loved the drinks too. The food was good and I'm not a vegan so I'm sure folks with that diet would LOVE this place. The vegan crab cakes were pretty good but I my taste buds always expect the actual name versus what its really made of. Each bite I had to keep telling myself this isn't actually crab :) But nonetheless, I would end them again.
GREAT restaurant. Amazing food, wonderful ambience. The deconstructed banana cream pie was to die for.
loved LIORA! gorgeous space, gorgeous food, amazing service.
one of those places where the food tastes as good as it looks. my daughter and I had a great brunch and will absolutely be back.
