Drinks were avg, wine pour was heathy, dbl bourbon was not and the White Russian was terrible...did not even drink it. Sushi was excellent and appetizers were good. I live here in DT and I would go to Water Grill next time. I do enjoy your HH on Sundays though.

Food was delicious. Fortunately for us/unfortunately for Lionfish, it was not busy. I think our server was new, really nice but didn't seem to know the menu well and made obvious favorite recommendation for the high priced items when asked for suggestions. Didn't seem to know wines either. Would have liked to sit in the back dining area but they were not seating that room which looked relaxing and comfortable. We had the octopus, big eye and albacore sushi and split the sea bass with a side of brussel spouts and squash. All amazing! Will return for another chance to try more menu items.

Lionfish was great. We had a group of 12 in town for a business conference, and at at Lionfish at 7pm. The food and service was great.

Food, service, and drinks were all great. Select wines were featured and 40% off the bottle, which was great. Tried a nice Sav Blanc that I added to my list of favorites. Tuna pizza was different than anything I have tried and delicious. Followed by the spicy octopus and surf and turf sushi roll, all were very tasty. Would definitely go back again.

The info that tells you about the great specials til 7:00 ($1 oysters, etc.) doesn't tell you that those are only served at the bar. You can also order from the full menu at the bar. But, I had been seated at a table and then had to move to take advantage of those. The oysters were fresh and delicious, as was the mignotte sauce. Rockfish hand roll was a good size and tasty, but not very spicy. Seared albacore plate also delicious. The flan was very good but pricey for the size of the portion. Service was slow - people who ordered after me were served and I was still waiting. But, it improved when i called it to the bartender's attention.

Great Happy Hour deal, that’s the only reason “value” gets two stars. Everything else was pretty poor.

Had reservations on Friday evening, arrived about 5 minutes late to a half-empty restaurant. No one in line. Still waited 10 minutes for a table after the hostess very rudely pointed out that “you guys were late, so I gave your table away.” Again, restaurant half empty with no walk-in wait. When finally seated, they took us past 10-15 empty tables to a back table next to the waitstaff station, and we were treated to hearing every single word they had to say to each other (talking about their work troubles, gossip, other tables).

The happy hour, honestly, is one of the better ones in the city; $1 oysters that goes until 7:00pm. Really good deal. That’s the only reason to tolerate their poor service.

But once 7:00pm passes, you’re grotesquely overpaying for food you could get at a run-of-the-mill Bonefish Grill for about half of the price. If I had the choice, I’d steer clear of visiting again unless I really NEEDED $1 oysters until 7.

Found this restaurant on Opentable and we were delighted. We didn’t know about the sushi menu and ended up just splitting oysters and different styles sushi. I’m still thinking about how amazing my meal was and would definitely want to go back if I’m in the area again!

Food was great and a nice menu with variety. Sat upstairs so we could look down and people watch as well. Had a great server who made some excellent suggestions on the food choices. Very quick service as well. It is now one of our favorite places to go eat. will be back.

Overall a great meal and experience! Bartender was attentive, food was really really good - the rock shrimp dish was huge and super yum- would have paid same price for half. Steaks were perfect, server disappeared once but other staff made up for it. Would totally come back as many of the other food we saw walk by looked great.

The noise level was uncomfortable for us. The seating was also not great, we had to keep scooting up to the table to eat our food. The food was good, but some older members of our group were not happy to find the pork chop was battered as well as having sauce.
We realize this is a trendy place, but we were a mixed age group and would have been happier with a quieter environment.

Unfortunately the prefix menu for Valentine’s Day was a disappointment. The food was not nearly as good as I would expect for the price. But the worst part was that we had a vegetarian in our party. Instead of serving her something she could eat, they put the “it comes out with every meal” seafood starters in front of her. I cannot believe that for $95 a plate they couldn’t be bothered to give her a vegetarian choice. The only thing she could eat was the cauliflower steak and she left hungry. Very disappointed. :(

Our Valentines Day dinner was amazing! Course after course, we enjoyed it thoroughly. The amuse bouche was incredible especially the oyster. Between the 4 of us we tried all on the prefixe menu. Every morsel was exceptional!! When we first sat down and were presented the menu, we were a bit shocked at the $95 price but decided to roll the dice since it was a special occasion- it was worth every penny!
Great job and kudos to the Chef!!
