Linx Tavern is the restaurant attached to the Golf Course at Ocean Edge. Ocean Edge is a gorgeous luxury resort situated right on the coast. This is fantastic for diners because they can hear the tide come in as they dine out on Linx's spacious outdoor patio. The good news is that Linx is available for the general public as well as those staying at the resort.
Linx features an international menu with dishes taking inspiration from every corner of the globe. Appetizers include fish tacos, sweet Thai chili wings, hummus, chicken quesadillas, fried pickles and a shrimp cocktail. Entrée options include sandwiches like the vegetarian portabella burger with balsamic-marinated jumbo mushroom, goat cheese, arugula and tomato pesto as well as larger plates like the chicken paillard made with lemon-thyme marinated Statler chicken breast and pan gravy served with fingerling potatoes and a fresh house salad.

the menu is creative and provides adequate choices. My entire was delicious and very different . Service was excellent==very friendly waitress. Nice ambiance and plenty of outdoor seating.
Excellent food and service! Menu items are pricey and drinks are expensive but it was outstanding. Wish it was better weather to enjoy outside but glad we did make reservations and dine there. Would go back!
I don’t usually write reviews, but this was bad. Everything was okay through the arrival of the main course, at which time the waitress took our order for another round of drinks. By the time we’d finished our meal, no drinks. She came back, told us the bar was backed up (nothing complex- a glass of wine and a bottled beer) and told us what the dessert choices were. She had to double check something with the kitchen on dessert, did that, came back, still no drinks. She took our dessert order, BROUGHT our dessert after 15 minutes or so (sidebar- it was awful. It was supposed to be a chocolate fondu- it was a bowl of microwaved chocolate with some bar fruit on a plate) and didn’t even REMEMBER there were supposed to be drinks. We eventually got the drinks, about 45 minutes after we’d ordered them. In that time, it had started to rain. There were large umbrellas near each table, but nobody from the restaurant staff could be seen when the rain started- we and everyone else in the patio got up and opened our own umbrellas.
The meal was expensive- you would have expected a better experience. Oh, and the waitress or bar didn’t understand the difference between ordering a Manhattan IN a rocks glass, versus ordering it on the rocks. So the $15 Manhattan was watered down. And they didn’t even comp us a round of drinks (though they did eat the bill for the “fondu”). STAY AWAY
We had a great server named Candice. She was friendly, offered to take our picture, and gave us great advice when ordering. I got the Summer Risotto which was unbelievable. Would definitely go back!
We had a great experience. The food was delicious. The fried oysters were to die for! We only wish we would’ve ordered more. Every bite was amazing!! We will be back.
We frequent The Linx every summer and have always enjoyed the food and the cocktails. Covid times changed the ambiance, however, we were very happy w/our server and our meals. We will be back, as always!
The food was very good and the server was nice. But all the staff seemed a bit harried.. the server had trouble keeping her mask on so she kept on touching it. That’s a big no-no. She was the one who served us our dinner. I was tempted to walk out before even ordering but it was late and there were few options in the area.
My wife and I are both hospitality professionals & we never leave negative reviews, but this just has to be said. We were on our honeymoon at Ocean’s Edge Resort, which we DO NOT recommend. We decided to try out one of resorts restaurants, Linx Tavern.
The service, the best part of our dining experience, was great. Very attentive, funny & fast.
The drinks were alright.
The food was very disappointing. Our entree’s arrived cold. They were bland and overall extremely underwhelming.
Don’t waste your time. Leave the resort and find better food just down the street.
LOVED IT! BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY! DEFINTELY WILL BE BACK..
Quiet evening outside.
Our server, Candice was awesome. The front staff (taking reservations seating a was confused). The food was bland and in some cases inedible.
Food was cooked to perfect temperatures, served hot, seasoned wonderfully and portion sizes were just right. Our server was very polite, capable and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. The cleanliness, considering the state of the world today, was top notch. Masks work by all working there, tables well spaced from one another, surfaces and menus cleaned right in front of us or immediately after guests left. Was pleasantly surprised and are looking forward to going back again soon. A great place for our first outing since March and for our wedding anniversary!
These are trying times for restaurants and Linx appears to be coping well. Their outdoor seating is very good, the food was good, portions a little small, but one meal came out hot and the other cold. Not a bad experience, but not as good as expected for the price.
Very quite dinner with family. Went early evening on a Thursday in August 2020.
Great summer atmosphere over-looking Ocean Edge Golf Course.
Husband’s birthday meal for 3. The table was fine, not exactly what we requested but adequate
The food was good. The chowder, although very flavorful and chock full of clam meat and lovely potatoes, wax VERY salty and a bit lukewarm. Chowders abs soups should be piping hot - even in summer
The service was outstanding.
We love this cozy spot.
Pleasant setting, service good but not overly attentive, food was good but not relative to price.
Cool and windy, asked manager to close wind flaps and they refused.
Service and atmosphere were good. My fellow diners meals were good. My vegetable risotto had good flavor but very few vegetables. I wouldn’t order it again but it was cooked well
I do not recommend At all!!
food wasn’t good at all and too expensive for the poor quality.
Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Definitely try some of their specialty cocktails. Alex was an amazing server, we definitely will be coming back!
I Had the cod and it was amazing!
Nice setup outdoors overlooking the course. The hostess was a little rude but our waiter, Liam, was great. He was attentive and had a great, fun attitude. The appetizers were great. We got the roasted oysters and the deviled eggs. I would recommend both. I ordered the cod which was done perfectly but the sauce was a little bland and the portion size was small. I did like the lobster arancini. My husband ordered parmesan wings while he loved but the tomato salad lacked tomatoes and was not what he expected. We decided to order dessert while was a cheesecake parfait and was a great ending. My biggest issue was the hostess who said they were full and told us she would not seat us. I checked Open Table and saw tables so I booked it for 15 minutes later and went right in. Not sure why she was so rude initially which almost made us leave but I was annoyed with her so I was determined. Overall, I liked the place other but needs some tweaks.
Dinner was amazing, and the service was absolutely outstanding. We would definitely come back and recommend to others if they have never been. We dined outside and it overlooked the golf course. Very beautiful!
Went here for my bachelorette dinner! Great service!
Lovely outdoor patio with golf course views. Dependable food and excellent service. Moderate prices. A nice dining experience without breaking the bank.
Good food, plenty of outdoor seating in a nice setting.
Alex our sever was outstanding!!
We returned the following evening to dine again!
Went there with my kids and we had a ball - great service - we absolutely loved it and the food and wine were phenomenal
The food was so good, I went back the next night for the same exact meal! ( veggie risotto) The service was great!
The roasted Oyster appetizer was fabulous. So sorry I split with my friend! We both opted for the cod which was also a winner. For dessert, we knew not to share and was so glad we didn't. Cheesecake parfait with a fresh berry sauce. Can't wait to go back again!
Because of COVID-19 our 1st experience was just ok. I mean we waited about 20-25 mins for our meal while other guests who came in after us were already served their meals. We were the only couple of color there, just saying oh yeah besides their staff. Grilled Steak hangar and fish and chips possibly doesn’t take that long.
We got our bill and my husband handed the waitress his cc, we then waited again and watched the waitress chatting with the guests. We had enough, got up and walked towards the front of the restaurant to get the cc back sign it and leave.
Had never been here before but it was a great place. Beautiful outdoor seating the food was excellent and the service was very good. We had a great time here
Appetizers were great. The swordfish was very fresh.
We requested outdoor dining, but was sat in the inside section of the bar, which confused the waitstaff at first because she thought we were only there for drinks. I’m not sure why the hostess sat us in the inside section, we had a reservation for outdoors and there were available tables outdoors as well. Food was fair, chicken was kind of chewy, salty and bland. Potato salad was equally salty and overpoweringly citrusy.
They did not have many veg options. Also, the options presented the quality of food was average. However, there were many food options for people who eat seafood.
Pretty spot, pleasant outside evening dining. Drinks were good, food was ok
