Red's Restaurant and Lounge at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel
Linx Tavern is the restaurant attached to the Golf Course at Ocean Edge. Ocean Edge is a gorgeous luxury resort situated right on the coast. This is fantastic for diners because they can hear the tide come in as they dine out on Linx's spacious outdoor patio. The good news is that Linx is available for the general public as well as those staying at the resort.
Linx features an international menu with dishes taking inspiration from every corner of the globe. Appetizers include fish tacos, sweet Thai chili wings, hummus, chicken quesadillas, fried pickles and a shrimp cocktail. Entrée options include sandwiches like the vegetarian portabella burger with balsamic-marinated jumbo mushroom, goat cheese, arugula and tomato pesto as well as larger plates like the chicken paillard made with lemon-thyme marinated Statler chicken breast and pan gravy served with fingerling potatoes and a fresh house salad.

Decent food, limited menu. Great location, with outdoor seating overlooking the golf course. Prices were a little high, but not outrageous for a resort restaurant.
Restaurant was not busy but service was awful. Food was just ok. Would not recommend to anyone!
Food service was very slow at this time when the restaurant was very empty. Not sure why it took so long to prepare sandwiches and salads
The place is great, beautiful. Unfortunately the food is kind of boring. The service is lousy- for instance asking if we want deserts menus or the check while eating the main course.
Clearing plates while eating. Which some think is ok, we think it is disturbing.
Service not good, slow and overpriced. We were the only ones there so not because they were busy. The interior is nice though
One word describes Linx after our dinner here one evening... Confused. The staffed is confused and clueless. Our appetizer was served with our dinner. That’s right, the chicken wings were put on the table together with my steak and my wife’s lobster roll. There really isn’t any excuses for staff not to serve the appetizer well in advance of dinner. Our waiter never checked on us again and my guess he knew we were furious. Even making a margarita was a challenge. I had to ask the bartender to salt the glass and it tasted like premix and cheap tequila. Nobody asked if we wanted another drink or dessert. The manager shrugged his shoulders and said sorry, but there was no attempt to
Offer any comp whatsoever. Staff needs training on the most basic skills of food preparation and service and until then I’d not come back for a return visit.
The first clue was when we walked in NO ONE greeted us! I saw a waitress at the bar who was at a register who said I’ll be with you in a minute I’m keying in an order, I said I was just checking in and she said sit anywhere! The place was empty except one table which the waitress proceeded keying in the order for another 5 minutes, we were sited at a table for 4 when she eventually came to drop menus off and skidded away as-quickly as possible. We had a chance to look over the menu and after hearing the only 2 children in the place yelp we decided this place was not for us. WE Left!
Not what we expected from an open table reservation! Maybe for breakfast or a quick lunch for certainly not for Mother’s Day!
Restaurant accepted our reservation on Open Table and was actually closed! Very poor execution to detail! This was New Year's Eve - not many options were left when we got there and realized that the restaurant was not open!
I booked a reservation that was confirmed and when we got to the restaurant it was closed at 6.30 pm. Not impressed
Closed but in open table. Drove there like an idiot expecting to have a reservation
We went to Linx our first night at Ocean Edge. We had reservations. We asked to sit outside and were told there were no tables, fair enough. However, during our nearly two hour dinner (another whole issue) there were clearly open tables. Our waitress was very sweet. Our food was WAY delayed. People were up and leaving. Apparently the reason for the slow food was because a large party of 12 was ahead of our order. The restaurant was not otherwise busy. I don’t think others should suffer for a party of 12! The steak and tortellini dishes were a hit. Wings and shrimp were not good. Lobster rolls were just ok. Sad put big vacation dinner was like this. Wouldn’t return to Linx.
Food is decent. Some dishes better than others and the menu is limited. I wanted the special clams app and the linguine with clams for dinner but was told they were being sent back a lot that night ( I appreciated the heads up). So I got the steak that was a little chewy. The salad was very good and our lunches were good too.
I will say I asked for a dirty martini that tasted like a glass of olive juice so I didnt drink it.
We ate on the patio. They rolled over a heater since it was getting a little chilly for some. My only real negative comment is that you could be anywhere that they play golf -- Hilton Head for example. If you are looking for something that is very Cape Cod you have to go elsewhere.
Really overpriced for very "meh" food. Service was horrible.
Beautiful setting. Very attentive staff. Only negative would be for the prices we expected to be wowed a bit on the food. The food was just ok.
It is a lovely restaurant tucked away on a golf course. We were offered our preference in seating and our waiter was pleasant and informative.
The Cod was delicate and served on top of healthy sides. The sides were not overly oily or buttery as at some restaurants.
In all, my husband and I will visit again!
Average food service was excellent
Excellent food and service. Quiet spot in Brewster on the golf course quiet outside dining off the beaten path.
Two things were very good with our dinner at Linx. 1. Our server Jay who was as nice as can be and 2. The chicken wings. The decor is made up of old golf photos. The patio has a plastic chair section for non members/non guests and nicer patio furniture for members/guests. We all pay the same prices do we not? Very discriminatory in my opinion. I spoke to the restaurant twice about seating on the patio for our large party and wasn’t told until we arrived that they could not seat a large party on the patio. That was fine but they could have mentioned that earlier especially when they called me to confirm. They managed to ask if I was a member or a guest on the phone. There are TVs throughout the tavern which is expected. Broadcasting a home shopping channel was not. We asked them to change the channel and they did. The food was mediocre, but the chicken wings, Thai Chili and Buffalo were very good. I doubt we’ll ever go back to Linx. It was underwhelming.
PS: Opentable, you need to rewrite the description of this restaurant. It is not near the ocean so you cannot hear the tide.
Horrible service. Waited for our food for an hour and half. Never came and didn’t refill our drinks. We left without eating.
Service was lovely. Food average. Bartender tried to pull a fast one and replace the wine we ordered with the cheaper option when we ordered our second glasses. Then had the nerve to deny it when confronted. Different color completely, different flavor. Refused to replace. Booo.
Superb service and a very pretty quiet setting
nice place for lunch. great food. some good beer on tap. the "members" only side vs "non-members" side of the patio was a little off-putting. the members side has nice wooden tables, whereas the non-member side has older plastic topped patio tables.
Food was so so Items cam out cold and replaced with something other than what was originally brought out. To be fair this is early in their season and the staff is just getting up to speed but the kitchen and the menu really need to be looked at the Shrimp alfredo pizza was suppose to be made with rock shrimp but the shrimp that were on it were 200-250 count salad shrimp Truth in advertising this was not. Manager did his best to make it right but the mood had already been set by the kitchen staff.
Our servers are great but the receptionist is rude and condescending
