The experience was beyond Any prior experience I've had at linger! The service was on point, his recommendations as well as dietary accommodations were phenomenal. The donut holes and ginger shots were Beyond delicious, thanks for that! I've always known that the service is great as well as the concept, and pleased to know that a previous experience was just a hiccup. Great recovery this time around!!!
We celebrated my wife's 40th at Linger and it did not disappoint. We loved the unique offerings from around the globe. We shared the BBQ duck and bison bao buns, Korean tacos, Persian sliders and the lamb kabobs. The combination of flavors in each dish was amazing. The only downside was we didn't have any room left to try anything else!
I love the relaxed feel of this place – great vibe for a date night or going out with a group of friends. I definitely would return to try more dishes. They have an awesome drink menu and a wide variety of food options. Typically, a plate is enough for 2 people. Service was well-timed and friendly.
Had brunch there this weekend. We got the Banh mi, which was delicious, the adobe poached eggs, and the ramen. The food was prompt, service was great.
Very attentive and informative server!! Chicken lettuce wraps and the shaved ice dessert were incredible!!
Delicious food, with quite a variety of flavors and options, and attentive, friendly service.
My favorite restaurant in Denver everything was delicious a party for the senses.
Linger is never a disappointment. The food was amazing.
Great service from Sean. Food was delicious. Everything came out of the kitchen in a reasonable amount of time .
Linger was fantastic and definitely the best place we ate at in Denver. My boyfriend and I went for dinner with his vegan cousins and were amazed at the amount of options available for all of us. I think the duck bao (real and faux) and the Korean Bulgogi Bibimbap were our favorite dishes.
Our server was a great help and very prompt. We also sat upstairs near the bar, and the ambiance couldn't be beat.
We loved it and will be making another reservation there next time we're in Denver!
Only reason Food was not ranked higher was that the gluten free/vegan display on the menu was confusing. It appears that every V or GF notation was just that when that specific treatment needed to be requested. It’s wonderful that you have those options available. But as someone with an intolerance, I was definitely “glutened” that evening. It was delicious though.
We had agent time and it was just what we were looking for. Great and unique food.
A big group of us went to Linger for our annual gift exchange, the restaurant is very cool. It is a tapas, sharing kind of menu, and the different options were really great to choose from.
We had the devils on horseback, the BBQ Korean tacos X 3, the lettuce wraps, the impossible sliders, one of the bao buns, and the corpse revival.
All excellent, tacos being our favorite, very different. So come feeling adventurous. The bar space next to our table up top was hard to squeeze by.
Very noisy. We were having a business dinner and the noise level was difficult to manage. Even though we indicated it was a business meal on our reservation, we were seated upstairs. Perhaps a table away from the bar would have been quieter. Otherwise, food was great, service exceptional including special attention to an allergy of one of our party.
Really great for and service. Love the "around the world" menu. I was going vegan for 30 days, and this was the perfect place. Many of the dishes can be made vegan.
I am not a fan of spicy food and had a hard time finding anything on the menu that I would like. The waiter struggled as well. 99% of the menu is spicy and removing it changes the dish too much or it could not be removed.
We went to Linger with our son and his boss who was in town from California. The boss wants to try something unique and local to Denver so we thought Linger would be great. The service was not food as it took over 45 minutes to get our food and when it did arrive I thought the food was just OK. Linger is also pretty pricey and it was kind of laid and hard to talk. I am not sure I will return.
Bob and I ended up going to Linger two weekends in a row, with different groups of folks.
Learn more about the detailed origin story of this mortuary turned from their website. Also, look for subtle hints throughout the restaurants including the embalming vessels used as water carafes and a mural of Harold in his customized hearse.
For a starter, we ordered three different bao buns to share. The most traditional offering was the 5-spice pork belly; we also tried the Mongolian bbq duck, and the bison pastrami reuben. They were all quite decadent! At $5 to $6 a bun, it was a little pricey but fun to share with guests.
On our first visit, several of us tried the ramen option served at brunch. It contained duck confit and a soft-boiled shoyu egg. The broth was dark, rich and
I ordered a cocktail that wasn't on the brunch menu, a coffee colada. This bright and tropical cocktail reminded me of a mulata, but contained cold pressed coffee, as opposed to creme de caoco. Loved it!
On this 2nd visit, I tried the adobo pork benedict. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, atop a very sophisticated version of benedict. The South American inspired chipotle lentil and bean sauce that substituted for hollandaise was both sweet and savory. In lieu of an English muffin, a plantain sopa was used as the bottom layer. Many of the dishes at Linger are pretty small, but these two stacks of benedicts left me completely satiated.
Two of our friends are gluten intolerant, and this place has so many options for them! Almost every entree on the brunch menu could be made gluten free, and several of them can be made vegan.
Linger is also a great place to take out-of-town friends, because even in the middle of winter they allow guests to take the elevator up to the rooftop to peak at the amazing views of downtown and the Highlands.
Love love love! Small delicious dishes and a wonderful wait staff! 10/10 coming back
Super awesome. Great service. Wonderful menu and food. Thank you!
Love Linger. Delicious food at an affordable price for portion size. Staff is friendly and prompt. The venue itself is fun to be in - never feeling rushed to head out. Can't wait to go back!
the service was great I loved the people serving us but the food was awful I never had such a bad food in my lif, plus there was no view to downtown nothing was like the photos on google over all I would say not bad for one night.
The meal was fine in the end after some fixes, but the service was really poor. We were handed a plate of bao by someone in error that we thought the waiter had given us as a nicety. They had been on our table at least 3 minutes and then our waiter stopped by and plucked them away from us! We ordered shrimp pad thai and it was delivered with no shrimp. We asked for it to be corrected. We were then brought a plate of shrimp. We just looked at the waiter and he asked, “That is what you wanted, right?” and I informed him that the noodles were now cold and it needed to be tossed together. It came back right finally. Dirty plates were not removed, table was not wiped...very spotty service. For a $200 meal with drinks for 4, we were not very happy with the service at all and the food was okay, but not stellar.
Booths upstairs very small for four people. Took awhile to place order.
Great ambience, the layout of the restaurant was a good mix of modern and classy. We always challenge each other to rank the food at small plate restaurants, and the items we put last were still very good, just not quite as exceptional as the other items. Wait staff was some of the friendliest I have encountered outside of a Michelin.
Felt very understaffed. In a meal that could have had 5 rounds of drinks we only got 2.5. Food was impeccable and drinks were delish, but 6 people and $410 later I'm disappointed.
Food was amazing like always.
We have eaten at Linger several times. It is a fun place with good food and great service...
The food was amazing! Our server was great! And the atmosphere was just fabulous!
Our go to date night spot 😉
Gish was a good server!
This is a tough review to write. We've been to Linger many times and have always had an outstanding experience. I have multiple food allergies and they have always been great about accommodating those with still great tasting food. They advertise as being good with food allergies and the wait staff always ask about food allergies. This time, we had to return three dishes due to inclusion of items I'm allergic to. One dish we had to return twice because it still contained allergens the second time they made it. I had a fairly major reaction to the allergens because I confidently took the first few bites based on my previous experience with them. The manager comped about half our bill but, I have to say, this will make me think twice about our next visit.
I was excited to try Linger but the food was disappointing. I ordered the rueben and sweet potato fries (they recommended getting two plates). The Reuben isn’t a rueben in the tradition sense. It looks like a little dough ball. I was highly disappointed by its size and it just wasn’t that good. It was laughable how small it was. The sweet potato fries were great and a good portion. My friend that I was with got the wagu and she said it wasn’t great either. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Denver, Linger won’t be on my list to return to.
Great variety of amazing food!
Really an interesting selection of international cuisine.
Visited fir my son’s birthday! We all loved it!! Our server was the best!
We went to Linger in New Year’s Day looking forward to the famed mortuary theme. Instead there’s nothing left of its gothic past, the decor looked entirely ordinary like any trendy spot. The music was loud to a distressful degree. I ordered pork belly grapow which turned out to be overly salty, they didn’t portion enough bland rice to balance the strong flavoring. Very disappointing, will not go back.
Would recommend for the food, flavors and service. They were a little skimpy on their sauces. Too noisy for conversation.
Service was excellent in particular given how busy the restaurant was on New Year's Eve but the restaurant is often quite busy. The food was O.K. all things considering but given the price and reputation, would have expected a higher standard.
It will be a while before I consider Linger or its sister venues for drinks and/or dinner again. It just felt like you made too many short cuts to try to accommodate too many people on a holiday.
