The roast beef was great and the steelhead also the shrimp and grits, and Ceviche was delicious.
I was disappointed that the online menu said Dungeness crab, when we got there is was a rock crab , red crab, which was undercooked, because the meat wouldn’t release from the shell.
And tasted mealy.
Dessert was terrible.
food was great our server was brennan was a great server.they had live music wich was very nice during dinner. will recomend line and lure and will be going back.
The service wasn't the best and I would've expected better as it's a bit on the higher end for pricing. Also, it was difficult to carry on a conversation as the acoustics aren't the best and there was a live entertainer so we had to yell over the top of the music to converse, although the musician was very good. The food was tasty, but overpriced. We will go again, but it wont be for awhile. This is maybe a twice a year thing for us.
Katie was awesome and food was great! One of favorites
Daniel was amazing and took great care of us. The crab boil was delicious and huge.
Our server, Mercedes, was friendly, attentive, and very efficient. Food was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and someone even brought us a complimentary glass of champagne. We shared a perfect dessert and had a wonderful experience.
We went to Line and Lure for the first time on a recent Thursday for their Royal Boil for Two, which, according to the website and the on-site menu, had a pound of Dungeness crab, a lobster tail, shrimp, Manilla clams and mussels.
We were very disappointed.
The Dungeness crab was replaced by leg clusters of red crab, which were so tiny they had hardy any meat. They were quite bland.
Most of the seafood was overcooked. It it was hard to get the lobster tail out of the shell. The clams and mussels were rubbery. The clams tasted spoiled. The sausage was fatty and cold. The potatoes, onion and corn were all overcooked and mushy.
The boil quickly cooled off at the table because the pot was not put on a warming plate.
We were given a small pot of what was described as “clarified butter.” It was actually some kind of vegetable oil. We knew it was not butter because it looked, tasted and smelled like oil, and after an hour at room temperature, it had not started to solidify, which melted butter would do.
When the floor manager stopped by to ask how we liked the meal, we told her. She apologized and canceled the price of the meal, which we appreciated.
Our suggestions for Line and Lure are:
If you do not have an item like Dungeness crab, tell the customer ahead of time. Correct and reprint the paper menu.
If you have to substitute an advertised item, use a better item, not an inferior item.
Hire a chef who knows how to cook seafood.
Use warming plates to keep the seafood warm and real clarified butter melted.
Use real butter, not vegetable oil.
Thank you for a pleasant, inviting and delicious meal. I celebrated my husband's birthday to a delicious Seafood Boil that was just the right size. Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating. She topped our meal off with an unexpected chocolate espresso cake that was divine and a divine smooth lemon soufflé. It was a memorable night for my husband and I. Hope to return someday soon.
$27 for halibut fish n chips and couldn't even tell I was eating halibut. Restaurant is ok but you're paying top dollar because of the casino. Service is always very good.
WE had shrimp basket it was good. Just wish they had to salmon they have at lunch at dinner. Really like that.
It was a Birthday dinner and the dessert was sooooo good.
Mercedes our server is outstanding!
Excellent service and food quality was superb.
Delightful wine. Boil wasn't up to standards corn way too old. Excellent service!!
I'd like to sit where I can see food go by. It's all prepared so lovely, really makes you want to try all of it and everything tastes so good. I haven't found anything that isn't superb.
I like that I can make reservations show up and be seated makes it so easy.
The music was too loud, but not anything to complain about.
Sat in the bar for happy hour, Cesar salads were good but fish tacos were soggy and very little fish . Not as good as they have been in the past.
Our 4th time dining here & each meal has been fabulous. The staff were all on point & super friendly, our orders prepared perfectly & the service was exceptional. It is our favorite restaurant in Ilani to dine at!
Hi Connie, Thank you for your nice review. I will share with the team! See you back soon!
Excellent food and service was improved over my last visit.
Thank you Paula for your information, I will share with the team,
Great food and service. A bit noisy but not horrible.
We appreciate your review Lisa! We hope to see you back again soon!
Food and service were excellent!!!
Thank you TAMMY~ !
Many buffet-style offerings don't have the highest reputation for food grades, but am surprised at how poor the level of quality is versus the amount charged at Line and Lure. Have tried this brunch about 5 times and the regular restaurant many more. Though it seemed fair the first couple times we tried it a few years ago, the brunch in particular feels definitely overpriced now. Seafood may be the main driver of pricing, but much is left to be desired in terms of the care of preparation. Hot dishes are warm at best. The breads are consistently hard and chewy. Seafood is nothing special and have to wonder who tastes the dishes before serving them. Everything seems over-salted to the point I never did see a single patron with salt requested for their table. On the other hand, ambience is nice with outdoor seating, multiple tv screens and even a harpist one time and a violin/cellist duo another. That said, I would skip the brunch as the value is horrible. Visit during regular hours instead.
Bad services.. cost high but food suck. And demand big tips.
Brennan makes the best cocktails! The food and service were great as usual!
Thank you Patricia for taking the time to send us a note. We hope to see you back again soon!
No follow check up, I have to wait for awhile to ask some condiments
Food was good, boil for two was a little under seasoned, but not bad. The clam chowder was AMAZING!!! Calamari was AMAZING!!!! Creme brûlée was AMAZING!!!
Lots of other plates looked amazing also. I wouldn’t get the boil again, but I will DEFINITELY be back.
Thank you, Thank you Jeremy! seee you sooon!
For awesome seafood, close to home, line and lure is our favorite place to go. I could eat there every week. But, we definitely go at least once a month.
Love your note! Thank you Becky
Had the tenderloin tips for the first time! Delicious gravy was savory perfection with the Yukon mashed potatoes!
Thank you Liz for your note, we will share with the kitchen!
Excellent fish n chips, wife loved the sweet potato fries!
Thank you John! see you back again soon!
I have been there many times. Last night the server was not friendly at all and when I went to use the Gift Card I purchased through the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce they not only refused to accept it, they acted like I was a thief and a liar. They asked me to show them an email or some proof that I actually had purchased it but even after showing them the email they refused it. I told them that I had saw a HUGE BILLBOARD ON 205 AND THEY WERE LISTED AS A MERCHANT WHO ACCEPTED IT, THAT WAS WHY I BOUGHT IT. I DONT
EVER PLAN TO GO BACK!!!!!!
We enjoyed the food very much, and the jazz music was perfect for our evening
We thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience at the casino and line and lure restaurant, everyone was great, and everything was clean
Thank you for your review Anna, we are so glad you enjoyed your evening. Hope to see you back again soon.
We go to the line and learn once a week. But yesterday was the worst margaritas I’ve ever had. Bitter, sour, I asked for more triple sec, I even asked for an extra shot of tequila. Nobody offered to take it off my bill or make me a fresh one. The server was nice enough, but, no more margaritas at Line and Lure.
The manager was AMAZING!! Went above and beyond for our anniversary to make us feel special. Food was great, and service was great!
We loved your review! We hope to see you back again soon!!
Food was all very good, well-plated so pleasing to the eye and palate. Prices are decent for the location, portions are okay, could be a bit larger on the entrees. Also, a little chincy with sauces for the crab cakes, etc, had to ask for extra on the side. Server was a bit spotty as well in regards to checking in and refilling drinks, but other than that a pleasant relaxing experience with good food.
The food was amazing, and the staff was very friendly and professional.
Hi Stephanie, thank you for taking the time to send us your review. We hope to see you back again soon!
Spinach crab dip was amazing! Crab crusted cod was also very good!
Love the food and service but the live music offered makes for a noisy dinner experience.
Staff are very attentive and accommodating for food allergies. We are regular patrons.
Thank you JoBee, we appreciate your review and stars!
Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The fish and chips were small, too much batter and over cooked. Everything else was very good. I will return to try other items. I recommend spending some time with buoying s meal here.
We came 6 minutes early on a thursday at 8pm and the casino was packed an they sat us right away with options on where to sit.....we sat next to the window......service was great food was out standing and the ol lady had 2 mojito's and she loved em..... me and the ol lady are looking forward to going back
Hi Josh, we are glad you had a great time! The Mojitos are ready for your next visit!
Very good food. The clam chowder was outstanding. Every one was very friendly. It was our anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne. The drinks were good. They weren't watered down. Our server was excellent. There was live entertainment. They were good, but a little loud. You have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant. It was very clean and had a nice path that goes around the outside of the gamboling tables and games. It's non-smoking. That is a huge plus. Over all it was very nice. We will returning soon.
Thank you Heidi for making the time to send us a review. See you soon!
I ate at Line & Lure prior to working at ilani and it's always been my favorite restaurant at ilani. My favorite Lunch Entree is the Seafood Wedge. I always recommend your restaurant to friends & Momentum Members when they call ilani. The staff is very friendly, courteous & professional. My friend & I had dinner at Line & Lure last night prior to The Beach Boys Concert. We decided to split the Seafood Wedge & add Prawns as suggested by our Server. It was OK, but I still prefer the Seafood Salad w/o Prawns. We also decided to split the Halibut Fish & Chips & we chose the Sweet Potato Fries which were delicious. However, we were disappointed with the Halibut because the pieces were thin & not tasty & the batter was not light & flaky. We ordered a bottle of Maryhill Pinot Gris & it was perfect.
