The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

Excellent food and service as usual
Excellent food choices and presentation. Dinner was delicious. Waitstaff was extremely attentive without being overbearing. Great place.
It was a beautiful pre show evening at Lincoln . The ambiance is clean contemporary with private booths and stained wood ceiling giving it a warm feel. From the hand made bread sticks and fresh black grape focaccia , to the superb entrees, to the fabulous dessert, the whole experience was much more than I expected. I would highly recommend this restaurant and to top it off the show was fantastic !!
Outstanding! Every course was outstanding! The pastas are creative, and so are the desserts. Ambiance is wonderful too--particularly for quiet conversation and if you're celebrating a special event. Lincoln Ristorante is one of my favorite spots in the city for consistently creative and well-executed cuisine! I highly recommend the dessert with macerated strawberries--phenomenal!
Staff was sort of cold and not engaging.
Always a beautiful experience . Spectacular design and impeccable service.
I have been to Lincoln several times and have always thought it was wonderful- but the last two times I have been disappointed. the menu is very esoteric and hard to understand. the prices are high. I had a pasta dish that was dry - not enough sauce. Not up to their usual high standards.
This was a great experience . The food and entire dining experience as set forth above fabulous.
We had tickets to a matinee at Lincoln center and planned on a lunch before. This was a perfect location right in the plaza. We sat outside and could see the door and knew when we had to leave. Food was great I had the salmon with warm tomato salad. It was perfectly cooked and the salad was a nice touch. Portions were fine for me. My husband might have need more. I just had an entree however my cousin did the brunch menu and she got an appetizer and a meal her salad was quite large so was her pasta dish.
Best homemade pasta we have had in NYC. Seriously talented chefs in kitchen.
a group of 4-went to lunch before a show. We had mentioned we had a time issue. The waitress was more than accommodating. We had delicious rose champagne. The restaurant gave little nibbles to try. How nice AND delicious. All of our lunches were great! Coffee was great too! Wish we had time for dessert. Will definitely come back here. Definitely worth the cost. (which was a little pricey for lunch)
I walked out before eating as they were so inflexible about letting me order what I wanted to order. This place has slid in quality and service since they changed chefs an I will never return. I used to eat here at least 4 times per year due to its proximity to Lincoln center
The service was superb and the pre theater pre fix is an excellent value!
I had lunch with a friend before a performance. Service was impeccable. The menu had a nice selection and pricing was moderate to high. The quality of the ingredients was excellent. Overall it was a great dining experience.
I don't have time to go through all your selections. Suffice it to say it was a wonderful experience!!!!
We enjoyed our pleasant and informative servers. The food was different and amazing in presentation and taste. The cocktails were perfect for our afternoon. Thanks.
The meal was delicious from start to finish. From the little extras that delight, to the succulent taste of the food, I was in restaurant heaven . service was efficient and gracious. Every detail of my food was thoughtful. From the exquisite garnished In my soup, to the sauces for my salmon. And the salmon was as fresh as any salmon I ever tasted. What a treat.
We live in SF BAY area so our standards are high. We have enjoyed several OK meals on this trip but nothing as good as Lincoln. Since our daughter lives two blocks from Lincoln, we will definitely eat there again.
The pre-theater menu had something interesting and delicious for everyone. The amuse bouche of fried mozzarella was wonderful. The foccaccia with honey ricotta was divine and then the two course meal was amazing. Service was perfect and the space is gorgeous. If it wasn't 101 degrees out we would have enjoyed eating outside.
The food was amazing as always. However, our red wine was served extremely chilled. We mentioned this to the sommelier who basically dismissed us saying all their wine was temperature controlled. We also mentioned this to a manager but no one came back to address the issue. Unfortunately, this is disappointing as we should have left this caliber of restaurant with nothing more more than good vibes and full stomachs!
The extra touches - chef nibbles before and post meal - on top of exquisitely prepared food and top-notch service, make this a very special restaurant.
While I have to admit that the food was good, the service was horrific. Our waiter was about to take our order then said he had to leave for a second and will be right back, he disappeared then took other tables' orders, and we had to ask another waiter to get him. My wife ordered wine and we had to ask our waiter twice for it and he kept saying sorry, he forgot, and still no wine. We had to call over another waiter to get it. This repeated itself the next glass she ordered. This kept happening all night, and even at the tables near us people were complaining about the poor service. Then, when we were leaving, we walked down the full flight of stairs to the front doors (where we entered and, in all our prior visits, had existed) only to find them locked and our Uber was waiting there. There was no sign at the top of the stairs saying the doors were locked. We walked back up, no one was around to tell us how to get out, and we finally made our way out and the car had left and I was charged a fee. So, if you like decent food, and don't mind a wait staff that clearly does not know or care what they are doing, except being skilled in avoiding serving you, then this is your place. We have been here a number of times before, but never again. I had recommended it to a friend for next week, but called them and told them to find another restaurant.
Excellent service, and delicious food. Portions are generous but not overwhelming. Excellent option for pre theater/opera.
Much MUCH improved food and menu service impeccable
You don’t find restaurants that are all around great - this is one and we plan to come back regularly. The food, service, ambiance were are exemplary, and they accommodated one person’s many food allergies seamlessly and deliciously.
Oh how I love thee...Lincoln Ristorante, you never cease to amaze me. Chef Stephen Conklin, you are an artist and chef extraordinaire. I'm happy to have met you before you blow up to GOAT status. Thank you for putting the LOVE in food. Thank you to the attentive staff. Everyone deserves to be treated with nourishing beautiful food and care.
The service was terrible. We waited a long time between courses, and the sparkling water we ordered was left to chill in a bucket far from the table, and we had to flag waiters down to go get it to refill our glasses, and finally just got up to retrieve it and pour it ourselves. The temperature in the restaurant was arctic (on a hot summer day), so if you run hot, this may be a good choice for you. Otherwise bring a parka. The food was ok, nothing special.
Gorgeous place right on the Lincoln Center campus between Vivian Beaumont theater building and Geffen Hall, on the north side of the reflecting pool. Very convenient for pre- concert, opera, theater or ballet.
Food is fabulous -- BUT very limited menu until 7 pm. Many appetizer choices bit fewer entrees. After we experienced the service, we can see why they limit choices -- they can barely handle that .
They use the platoon staff approach -- someone takes your drink order, someone else dinner and a third person delivers. Two different people tried to take drink orders. Three of us each ordered two courses. The deliverer was totally confused about two of our orders so they delivered it in shifts.
BUT the food was great.
And then the wait began. 20 minutes after. We had finished eating, put down forks, pushed back plates, even put napkins notable - - we were invisible. I finally had to go find one of our servers and ask to have table cleared. 10 minutes later, they did it. Then another looking wait for check and we finally asked for that too. No one ever asked us about coffee or tea. The service just fell apart.
I couldn't comfortably recommend this restaurant to a friend lest they have the same problems. The amateurish. service spoils the food and gorgeous setting and facility design.
Wonderful service and food. All in all, a great experience that we hope to repeat.
Lunch on a quiet summer Friday in the dining room was perfect. The $29 price fixe menu for antipasti and primi (pasta) is the best deal in town. From the delicious focaccia bread that came with ricotta instead of plain olive oil or butter, to the beet salad and insalata caprese (heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella), to the spaghetti with seafood and rigatoni with duck ragu, we were so pleasantly stuffed that there was no room for dessert. The service was friendly and extremely efficient. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants!
P.S. We stopped by the previous week after we attended “My Fair Lady” at the Vivian Beaumont next door, for a glass of wine and a yummy nectarine tart on the outdoor patio. Magical evening with soft summer breeze!
Great food & service!!! Elderflower soda was excellent! Menu changes often but their is always great options. Recommend for a foodie.
A splendid experience all around. Beautiful setting. Wonderful location within Lincoln Center complex. Quiet and elegant without being pretentious. Excellent food and extremely attentive service. Lovely wines both by the glass and by the bottle at reasonable prices. A totally positive evening
Outstanding service , very good cocktails, good meal.
My favorite restaurant in Manhattan
Perfect pre-theater restaurant in terms of food, ambience, and setting the mood for theater. Would highly recommend it. Most of the food excellent, some just good.
Took my husband here for his birthday before seeing a show at Lincoln Center. Food was wonderful and the service was excellent
A superb pre-theater dining experience. Wonderful food. Terrific service. We will return.
Outstanding food, wine, and service. But very expensive.
Excellent food, service and cocktails as always! I wanted to upload a photo of my fantastic Manhattan but it won’t fit!
The food was delicious...all except the lamp which was a little grissly and chewy.
Thoroughly enjoyable! Ambiance, service and food were all superb.
