The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

Just opportunity to improve the environment, it was super cold. The sits also are a bit heavy to move them closer to the table.
The food is just amazing, one of the best ones on the city. They are very careful and kind with the customer, loved it!
Overpriced... mostly empty pre-theater which was not expected, hard surfaces amplified a noisy space. The food while good was unremarkable for the prices charged, desert overbaked and dry.
As always, Lincoln gave me and my friend a lovely lunchtime rendezvous, with careful attention to our respective dietary needs and an almost noise-free atmosphere (it wasn't crowded at all, this being the summer).
Made a pre-theater reservation for my husband’s birthday. Arrived on time, ordered promptly, and ordered a very nice bottle of wine. The sommelier was wonderful, the food was really good; but the servers ignored us to the point we never received our dessert. We paid a bill where they comped our food due to poor service—-not sure I would go there pre-theater ever again.
The food was unique. Wonderful flavor. The restaurant was very quiet and great for conversation. Service was attentive but not intrusive. I would definitely return and recommend to friends.
I took my neighbor out for her 95th birthday. Everything was lovely except one mistake I thought was pretty bad: we ordered a ravioli dish and when it came out it was an entirely different ravioli. My friend was looking forward to what she ordered. No one told us they didn't have the dish or offered to let us change the order. It was just served without comment, like they were slipping it past us and we wouldn't notice. The server apologized but by then we didn't really have a choice. I guess we could have refused the dish but by then we didn't want to wait around longer and my food was already there. Anyway, I feel like they could have recognized the mistake a little more and maybe comped us something.
I don’t drink much alcohol (triggers migraines)... I told the waiter that I was not going to have any wine. I saw him go over to the server station and roll his eyes and say “no wine”. I heard another server reply “bummer”. Bad. My friend ordered a glass of wine and we still tipped on the whole amount but ONLY because the young man who brought our food to us was absolutely delightful.
Outstanding meal! Staff is top notch... cannot wait to return!
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the service, of the food and the ambiance. Highly recommend it!
LINCOLN Ristorante is always a special experience especially when linked to a LINCOLN Center performance as was the case last Sunday when our brunch preceded My Fair Lady. What a loverly day!
I love LINCOLN! The ambiance and decor are sophisticated and elegant, the wait staff professional and knowledgeable, and the food outstanding!
Great food, excellent service and perfect location. What more can one ask for!
Everything is really excellent at this restaurant. The setting is wonderful, the staff is helpful and engaging, and the food is terrific.
Great for dinner before or after the show
Perfect place for before or after Lincoln Center events. Interesting menu well executed. The Saturday and Sunday brunch specials are super.
My sister and I attended a matinee ballet. On arrival at 12:30, we reminded captain we needed to leave by 1:45. We ordered promptly, waited almost 30 minutes for a salad appetizer with two f/u reminders needed. Entrees arrived at 1:30. One entree was so spicy it was returned. The offer to redo was declined as we needed to leave in 10 minutes. The regular wait staff was excellent. We were charged the full appetizer price $21 rather than a % of the price fix lunch $29. Considering the circumstances, we asked about the bill. The captains “apology” seemed insincere. The problem appeared to be a disinterested captain. The restaurant was not busy.
Lincoln was outstanding as always - food fantastic! Wait staff amazing. Other restaurants should send there staff to Lincoln for a class on ‘how to treat and serve’ !!
I appreciate that they saved me a table outside for me to able to bring my dog!
Lincoln is a unique and outstanding restaurant. The location - off the reflecting pool of
the Vivian Beaumont - is sublime day and night. Tables are spaced so that conversation is pleasant. The service is impeccable and everyone among the staff spot smiles. The menus are original, the portions reasonable and the presentation attractive but not fussy. Lincoln is expensive but the experience is worth the sacrifice particularly given the fact that the venue is romantic.
Best homemade pasta ever! Only ok ambiance. If you are a foodie worth the plain setting.
Went on a Saturday night before theater. Didn’t know it was only a “pre theater” menu. That being said; price, value, choices were all outstanding.
First time there can’t wait to go back. Had price fix menue,it was wonderful, next time looking forward to full menu
We are never disappointed when dining at Lincoln Restaurante and our dinner on Saturday June 30th was wonderful from beginning to end! The Lincoln is our go to restaurant whenever we are attending a Lincoln Center event. The staff is attentive, warm and interested in making one feel most welcomed, tables are perfectly placed and the cuisine is fabulous. We enjoyed a most wonderful anniversary dinner before attending My Fair Lady.
Not just for pre-performance dining, Lincoln is perfect for lunch or dinner for seekers of innovative Italian cuisine and appropriate wines. Service is perfect, just bring money.
We loved the atmosphere. Staff was outstanding.
The noise level was great we didn’t need to shout to hear each other.
The only comment that it was redundant for server to describe food ordered especially since it is on menu with great detail.
Went with the outdoor menu and beware— it is far more limited than the indoor menu. The service was impeccable as always. Food was solid.
Great evening. We will be back again!
This is the third time since March that I've brought friends to Lincoln Ristorante for the prix-fixe lunch, and it's better than ever. All three of us found the food wonderful and appreciated the excellent service and quiet ambiance. Each of us had a different appetizer (I had the heirloom tomato soup, which is delicious), and all three of us had the Spaghetti alla chitarra "frutti di mare," which we all loved. I give Lincoln my highest recommendation.
I recommend Lincoln for everything as long as one can afford it!
Had dinner with a friend - great place if you want to have conversation, quite with soft music. Food was delicious, service was great.
I have been going to the Lincoln for a number of years. The last two times I went with their new chef the food was outstanding
We were visiting New York City for a Carnegie Hall performance. Dinner here was a real highlight. The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. We especially loved the duck and the swordfish. The setting is beautiful, right next to the Metropolitan Opera. Excellent choice pre-show.
Attentive service. Wonderful food. Very cognizant of our theatre matinee time.
One of our “Go-To” places! Have been here too many times to count since it opened, & for many different kinds of occasions. The food & service speak for themselves: exceptional. For our most recent meal a few days ago, 2 of us had branzino, orhers had swordfish & short ribs. Seasoned & cooked perfectly. Very generous servings. Sides were snap peas & roasted wild mushrooms (not together.) Also had the roasted Brussels sprouts a few weeks ago when we dined here, also delicious. Desserts: a dark chocolate mousse, the nectarine & cherry crostata & coffee. Oh yes, the spiced skinny breadsticks, focaccia with honeyed ricotta spread & amuse bouche were divine. None of this group are drinkers, so I can’t comment on that, unfortunately. Interior design is gorgeous in an elegantly understated modern style. It is one of the very rare places where tables are spaced very far apart, so the background noise is essentially non-existent; perfect to be able to carry on a conversation with other members in your party. My husband & I have dined solo many times on their outside terrace. Although more casual than indoors, it is a very special setting, next to the Lincoln Ctr reflecting pool & Avery Fisher (sorry, now David Geffin) Hall, & people watching as others make their way to opera, ballet or symphony perphormances. Eating outside is a fun experience. Prices are not inexpensive, but the quality of the food & all of the other benefits make it worth the bill, & is consistent with other high-end restaurants. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful lunch here before the ballet. It was our anniversary and they treated us extra special. The food was tremendous and the service couldn't have been better. We will put it on our "always when we're in NYC list!"
Service was the best I have had in a long time. Very thoughtful and attentive.
Ty was a great and knowledgeable waiter, genuinely interested in the food. Veal and swordfish were excellent. Drinks perfect. Service impeccable! Desserts great!
Wonderful service for a pre theater dinner. Great value . Did not feel rushed and the food was delicious . Would highly recommend for any occasion and especially for a pre-theater meal.
Excellent service! Excellent food! One of my favorite restaurants in NYC.
We love Lincoln Ristorante. It never disappoints Food and service are both great !
Excellent, attentive service and varied menu. Limited, though, for vegan diets. Might try elsewhere on that front, otherwise a winner!
