We had a lovely dinner but were seated directly in front of the place where the staff stand waiting to see where they are needed. So we were quite uncomfortable as they could hear our conversation and we theirs (and they talked quite a bit). There were many empty tables! Perhaps our table should only be given as a last resort? Staff was very good and not their fault they were supposed to stand there when not in action .
SERVICE AT FLOOR WAS OUTSTANDING! WE WILL VISIT AGAIN.
Great place for price fixed brunch on Sunday. Booths are cozy. Able to sit and talk for two hours without pressure.
A lovely venue post or pre theater. It happened to be snowing and looking out onto the fountain was so beautiful. We were having a reunion with dear friends after the opera. The whole experience was perfect and we shall return as soon as possible.
Attentive service.Drinks pricey and wine list at prix fix limited.Negroni bar was unique, but special cocktails too complex and mixes were strange to our taste buds.Pastas were exceptional, mains were standard, desserts were disappointing(too many strange components like truffle gelato on an overly sweet apple torta-weird flavor).I believe Chef was trying too hard and should stick to more conventional Italian. My thoughts.
Extremely enjoyable and relaxing dining experience. Professional presentations and service. Most comfortable chairs for table seating.
Always a great time at Lincoln. The butternut ravioli was a tasty surprise and the sea bass was cooked to perfection . Great service, ambiance...and space!!
The portion size are very small fish maybe 3 oz
For main course
The appetizers were not impressive
Service could be better
A perfect place for a special occasion and an exceptional dining experience.
Excellent service and food in a great location even if you are not going to a performance at Lincoln Center.
Great food and fantastic service. Very classy ambiance. Recommended for business, special occasion, or before a performance at Lincoln Center.
Wonderful as usual - beet salad, scallops, eggplant parmigiana, braised beef rib with barolo sauce, veal meatballs all great. We were a bit rushed at the end for our Met curtain.
Fantastic service. Good food.
Really good food and friendly, efficient service. Will definitely go back
Great food in a lovely atmosphere. Light, airy and quiet. Terrific wait staff.
Thought that they participated in NYC Restaurant Week, since I found my way to them and decided to go there through the NYC Restaurant Week link in your ap, but they told us that they only participated for lunch. Disappointed - but meal was quite good albeit more expensive than we had planned on spending
It was a lovely experience. Why do so many men wear “high waters” pants? Did not like the kitchen shouting orders & pick ups ... spoiled the quiet/ ambiance.
Always a pleasure returning to Lincoln. The prix fixe menu was varied enough to make choosing each course a pleasurable challenge. The wine list is a journey through the riches of Italian varietals. Our waiter was top notch. Too good a restaurant to relegate to a pre-theater go-to spot. We’ll be back soon.
We had a very good lunch after NY Philharmonic open rehearsal. The restaurant week menu is a steal with three courses at$29. The wine tasting package at $14 for two glasses of wine paired with the meal was excellent.
always good food but the timeliness of food delivery this time was poor. We waited at least fifteen minutes between each course. Not acceptable
I went the restaurant in NYC restaurant week and ordered one of restaurant week lunch. $29 of three courses was reasonable and worth eating. One thing I was a little but disappointed is the dessert. (Doughnut and chocolate ) It was tasty but no surprise.
Great lunch especially good value during restaurant week
I would say the ambiance was the best part of dining at Lincoln. While some of the food is quite good, some of it is just nice to look at. And the portions are very small. The "wine tasting menu" consisted of very, very small amounts of a nice red and a nice white. Tasting is an apt description of this. While the service was attentive, some of the dishes took a very long time.
I find Lincoln a nice place to go before a Lincoln Center event (especially a matinee) but think it is overpriced.
Food was very good but service was very slow. Nice surroundings, view of Lincoln Center.
I don't know if it is because of the new chef, but my three-person lunch group agreed that the food was not up to snuff (eg. the skate while nice and flaky was way to buttery). Also, the service while well-intentioned was slow, even though we said we had a deadline to meet. The restaurant has a beautiful ambience, on a rainy day with the reflecting pool outside, but it comes at a big price tab considering food and service were sub-optimal. I might still recommend going here if it is convenient to a Lincoln Center event, but not as a destination in itself.
Note: to make up for the service issues, the waitress did apologize and offered a free glass of wine and an additional dessert to share. To recap -- My friend and I ordered the regular lunch pre-fixe menu and ordered the same appetizer and entree. At the beginning we received the focaccia (which was excellent) but we were not served the amuse bouche that the other tables around us received pro forma. After a few minutes, I asked three times to different staff members and it never was delivered and finally asked if we were also entitled to this) and finally it was brought over. One of our appetizers was incorrectly noted and then was corrected (with a wait) and arrived without the required spoon to accompany the dish. It was somewhat frustrating to observe the tables around us and with patrons who arrived much later basically coming to the completion of the meal (eating dessert) as as I received my corrected appetizer. Our meal took significantly longer than it should have -- 2 hours due to the service glitches. The food was very good, the decor and ambiance is very lovely. I appreciated the the effort of the waitress to make up for the issues we encountered.
Nicely appointed restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. Expensive but portions are large.
My husband and I were here for dinner on Super Bowl night, and we had the restaurant pretty much to ourselves. Perhaps because of that,we enjoyed spectacular service, and our waitress could not have been more attentive, yet respected our privacy.
We had a wonderful table, roomy yet cozy, again maybe because there were so many choices available, but nonetheless we appreciated it. We are vegetarian, and had no trouble finding selections that met our needs. The food was excellent, and the staff did not seem to mind our splitting the plates between us. In all things, they were very accommodating !
We'll definitely eat at Lincoln Ristorante again, sometimes combining dinner with a Lincoln Center event, other times for dinner alone.
service and atmosphere are great. food is enough for brunch. definitely worth it，especially during restaurant week
