About Lincoln Ristorante
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. While our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool and the Henry Moore sculpture is exquisite, the panoramic views and grass lawn roof are sure to impress.
The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

Lincoln Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Ty our captain was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and accommodated several food allergies. The entire staff was friendly and attentive... and the food was amazing! From the bread, Negroni bar, dinner courses to coffee. Really top notch! Go here and you will not be disappointed!
This restaurant was recommended to us by relatives that live in the city. They dined there several times before and after an event at Lincoln Center. Our table was ready although we did asked to be switched to a nicer area which they did accommodate us. we had a nice location. Our first waiter was not the best. He left us too many times waiting for him to come back so we could ask questions and order. We mentioned to service manager and immediately we were given better service and wait staff was much more attentive. From that point on everything was perfect. We loved the food and love the restaurant would definitely come back.
We are new subscribers to the Metroplotan Opera so are exploring restaurants near Lincoln Center. Lincoln is on the plaza and lovely. Our rule is not to return to the same restaurant in NYC because there are so many to explore but we are going to break this rule for this restaurant. We had the 3 course prix fixed dinner with the wine pairings. We spent two hours at the restaurant, loved the food and wine and attentive service, and never felt rushed. Our table had a view over the plaza and we watched night fall, snow falling, people walking by, taking pictures. Very New York.
I️ the restaurant has an interesting modern decor filled with many waiters and help. My first time there. Their newer menu is more appealing then one I️ read 1-2 years ago. Yet almost 50 minutes went by and I️ had not started any course? The truffle tasting was divine. So was my sommelier bringing the wine pairings. Truly a gourmands delight! Albeit pricey.
One could hear the help in the kitchen yelling out orders to the others. You can watch them too looking through the glass walls? I️ would have rather liked to hear gentle music to my ears rather than their help lines?
The menu was prix fixe only and VERY expensive. The food was fair but the ambiance and service very good. Unless you know ahead of time what the price of a 2 course meal is going to be I don't recommend this restaurant. I think they should provide a regular menu as well as prix fixe
The restaurant was very accommodating in giving us a booth for our dinner. The tasting menu was ideal. Two people had the insalata and bass. I had the scallops , red deer.... with wine pairings.... with an afagato as my dolce. Thank you to the chef for creating a special dinner ( on very short notice) for one of our diners who had allergies and dietary restrictions. The restaurant is beautiful and the close location is ideal for any event at Lincoln Center.
The food at Lincoln Ristorante was excellent, however, there was too much food for a pre-concert meal. I am sorry that they instituted a two-course minimum pre-fixe dinner for pre-theatre dining. I probably won't go back unless they return to an a la carte menu as was true in the past. Please share this comment with the restaurant.
What a terrible experience! I have been to every restaurant in the Lincoln Center area many times... with the exception of Lincoln. After date night at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Time Warner we had arranged a reservation at the Lincoln. My boyfriend liked that spot and was excited for me to try something new. We arrived at 9:20p for our 9:30p reservation.
The restaurant was not even half full yet they attempted to seat us at what anyone would have considered the worst available table. We asked for a different table, preferably banquette seating, and they obliged. We waited for 10 minutes with no one approaching the table. When what appeared to be the floor manager walked by checking tables, her glaze skimmed past our table. We got her attention and asked for water, menus and some wine. She said our waiter would be over. My boyfriend saw her approach him and he nodded, but did not come. A steward came by to get our water preference and we received water and menus. After sitting there 20 minutes without even ordering wine, we got up and left.
At this point the waiter came over to ask me if everything was ok. The hostess got the manager and everyone seemed concerned after 20 minutes of no care at all that we were leaving. Again, the restaurant was under half empty, it was late and most people were well into their meals. This was not a situation where we just needed to be patient. We honestly thought we might be on candid camera.
We went across the street - choosing among one of many favorite spots on that strip. We were quickly seated in a bustling restaurant with no reservation at a perfect table and had water and wine at our table within 3 minutes of being seated. We probably spent 1/3 less for our meal that night and we were treated like royalty comparable to Lincoln restaurant. Ironically, I was planning to make a reservation while we were there for dinner before the Opera in 3 weeks.. change of plans. We won't be back.
The meal was superlative! But let me begin my complimenting the service. First of all, we were initially seated in a rather undesirable location next to the door. When I asked for a table with more privacy, we were graciously accommodated. Secondly, we arrived a bit early for our reservation, and technically it was still during the period when they only offer a limited pre-theater menu. I asked if we could see the full menu, and again our request was accommodated. So we ended up ordering a full four-course menu. The pastas were particularly outstanding--agnolotti filled with savory capon and sage, and ravioli with honey nut squash, mascarpone, and truffle oil. Also enjoyed a tender veal loin with rosemary reduction. Finally the sorbet were amazing, particularly the spiced pear. It was a fantastic meal, thanks not only to the quality of the cuisine, but also the graciousness of the staff! Will definitely be back!
Lincoln is the finest restaurant in the area, and one of our favorites in town. Everything about it, as far as we're concerned, is tops, especially the food and service. Occasionally we stop by for a drink before a movie or late lunch, when the place is less busy with the pre-theater crowd. They are as generous with their portions and creativity as they are with their gracious hospitality.
Once upon a time this was a fine restaurant. A limited price-fixed menu with a requested one hour per course is nonsense and poorly executed. Only one person in our party of four could find a dish that interested them. The staff seems to have been cut back because what was always superb service in the past really wasn't up to the level of Horn & Hardet. Yes, it was (IS) that bad. Clients of Lincoln Center deserve much more than Lincoln Ristorante offers.
From the moment you walk in through dinner and the moment you walk out, you feel like someone special. The service is outstanding and attentive, the food is absolutely exquisite, the wine selections are such a delight and the nice view of Lincoln Center through the tall glass walls makes it magical. Super concenient pre-show location.
Great food for those who appreciate presentation, great flavors, and delicate texture. Amazing service, stunning views of the Lincoln Center, modern architecture, all glass dining hall with floor to ceiling sophisticated construction combining glass and metal. Our dinner was a coordinated execution of service by all staff . Highly recommended for all grown ups dinner! One small set back was absence of kids’ menu but the host came up with a plate of pasta for my kid. The dessert was an art on its own! Thank you very much.
WOW! First time to Lincoln,
But multiple times enjoying Shea Gallante's culinary talents...
The fresh focaccia was served with a whipped ricotta drizzled with honey....
The seasonal salad with beets, watermelon radish and mixed greens were dressed in a light but flavorful vinaigrette...
Fresh pasta agnolotti filled with capon and foie gras as good as any meal in Northern Italy...
Roasted Turkey with butternut squash was moist and succulent...
Affogato completed our experience so well presented by Claudio.
So many restaurants in NYC,
Lincoln is a GEM‼️‼️
Lincoln Ristorante is fantastic and most importantly consistent - the service is always excellent, the food super fresh & delicately flavored and the atmosphere is nothing short of extraordinary. It's not the cheapest restaurant in the LC area, but it is the BEST.
Enjoyed our dinner. since it is at Lincoln Center getting to a performance is easy and distance outside in weather very limited. Food was very good but short of outstanding. However, service and staff were truly outstanding. Would go again if attending Lincoln Center.
