Comfortable and quiet. Good service and food. Great for pre-opera dinner
Was delicious for our first visit. Second visit very disappointing. Salad said white asparagus. Couldn’t find it. Server said there were shavings. Salmon was ok but tomatoes with it were terrible. The ricotta and focaccia was delicious but rest didn’t meet our expectations
Exceptional food, service and ambiance. The wait staff was unbelievably attentive without being intrusive. The food was beautifully presented with the freshest ingredients and tasteful but not complicated sauces or dressings. It couldn't have been a more pleasant brunch and wonderful value as well.
Amazing service, ambience and ofcourse the food! This is favorite restaurant in the city!!
Wonderful pre-theater dinner. Loved it! We will be back.
Everything is always wonderful at this beautiful restaurant.
Pre opera meal served with attention to our impending Opera attendance time. Good service, excellent food in smart surroundings.
This is one of the finest restaurants in Manhattan - and that's saying a lot. Staff the ultimate in professionalism, very approachable menu, and Italian food with lots of nuanced flavors. Not to mention the sophisticated design of all appointments (table-top, chairs, linens, etc.) and waterside view of Lincoln Center reflecting pool. Can't wait to return.
Excellent wine pairing recommendations.
Excellent service, food was unique - wine selection was as good as any place I ever went ( very good)
Not rushed , staff was aware of my shows start time
Food was served in a very timely manner. Will recommend to friends
We had a lovely pre-theater lunch. The menu was very creative, and the food was delicious!
The service at the Lincoln was exceptional. This has become our "go to" restaurant when we attend performances at Lincoln Center. It couldn't have a more convenient location! We're looking forward to our next visit.
food and service were outstanding. Great salads, salmon and bread for a gluten free guest.
We had not been to Lincoln in over a year. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is superb (the chef is relatively new.) We will be back there again soon.
Good knowledge of food and wine
Wonderful people watching opportunities through the window walls
One of my favorites when in NYC - never miss a chance to go
Very nice atmosphere, not rushed, service and food exceptional as usual!
Fantastic food and the service was exceptional! Such a treat!
An absolutely wonderful experience! The food, service and ambience were all superlative. The restaurant has the added advantage of not being very loud - a rare find in NY these days. The price is a bit steep, but it’s definitely worth it.
The service was exceptional. The waiters did their best to make me and my comfortable. The food was awesome and the dessert was heavenly. I had hinted them it was my birthday in the reservation, and and they went on to surprise me with a tailored dessert to my birthday occasion. I would go to the restaurant again.
Waiters were too often coming to the table, give us a little space and time to talk and enjoy the dining experience. Pork chop was very fresh and juicy, but not much flavor.
great location for pre-opera staff aware of time to leave service excellent
Lovely the perfect match for Lincoln crntet
We made reservation for Easter dinner.
This is a follow up review the manager did get back to me and he also gave us a credit of a portion of the 2 people’s meal. He also said they were looking into the problem with the meal. Thank you.
We had to constantly repeat our order to the waiter. Cocktails were slow to come and the waiter would forget who ordered what. The food was OK but nowhere near the standards of past years. The third course, dolce, arrived at the table and were not even asked if we would like espresso, coffee or after brunch drinks. Then suddenly the bill appeared. For the price I expect a much higher level of service - as it used to be when Lincoln first opened.
Food good, Service Not So Much
This was our 4th visit in 2 years. Over that time the service has slipped. There were multiple mistakes: wrong food, wrong table delivery, circling around the table to clear while still eating, etc. All this took away from the overall experience. The food is still very good, however there are many equally good restaurants that have better service.
Dinner before the opera. Great location and outstanding Devore and ambiance. Food was delicious and good portions. The sommelier helped select a very nice wine ant a good price point. Starter arrived before wine was opened. Felt a bit rushed for such a nice meal. Bottle of wine should have been a clue for wait staff, but they seemed preoccupied or inattentive. Overall, good experience, and I would recommend to others.
Initially we were badgered into ordering (although politely) by far too many staff personnel who buzzed around us like mosquitoes. However, when we made it clear that they were inappropriately attentive, they were apologetic, contrite, professional, and generous in their attitude and behavior.
Always a great meal and experience at The Lincoln! Great food and wonderful venue.
Delicious food, gorgeous architecture., but the ambience is a little cold and pretentious
A treat! Went pre-theater. Will return and make it the whole night activity.
Lovely staff, beautiful setting, delicious food.
The service was superb!
Our servers really catered to us and made us feel special on the occasion of our anniversary.
The food was wonderful, and the chocolate soufflé dessert was a dream come true.
All in all, a lovely experience.
We have dined at Lincoln several times but this was our first time for Lunch. It not only met our expectations but surpassed them. The food was excellent as was the service. Definetly a must when you attend Lincoln Center ( or want an outstanding meal)
I live on UWS and have passed this numerous times on my way to Opera. Decided to try and was positively surprised on the menu and in particular of the impeccable service. Interesting menu and very flexible for allergies - absolutely like how they took care of our guest that needed gluten-free food. The scallops were really phenomenal as an appetizer. Nice Italian wine list. The view towards the Met is also nice - high ceilings give a feeling of space but glass makes it more interesting.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Amazing cuisine and incredible list of Italian wines. Highly knowledgeable sommeliers who never let me down. Impeccable service. Just a gem of a restaurant at Lincoln Center.
Stellar aa always
Everything was perfect! And with great vegetarian options too. The service, the food, and the ambience it’s amazing. We loved it and are definitely coming back.
The restaurant is located right at Lincoln Center. The food as always was top notch and there are gluten free options which they are very careful in keeping separate from other foods when serving. The atmosphere is wonderful. The table we had was a booth like seating but a bit noisy as the waiters were right behind us. Overall the waiters are professional, the food delicious and the special touch to everything was wonderful. Made celebrating our anniversary memorable. We will return yet again.
My husband and I have enjoyed dining at Lincoln since it opened and sometimes will go more than once a month since we have a NYCB subscription and also attend theater and music events at times. In the new format we're obliged to order from the pre-theater dinner menu, which has far less choices than the main dinner menu. All of the food is still expertly prepared and delicious, and the wine list is excellent, however, the menu doesn't change as frequently as it used to, and since the pre-theater menu already offers a limited selection, we're starting to look for other restaurants in the area when we would have normally just booked at Lincoln. Service is always outstanding and the room is still gorgeous. Even if they want to reduce pressure on the kitchen by limiting pre-theater to only 2 -3 courses, at least if we could select from the full menu it would be better. Changing the menu more often would help as well. We won't stop coming, but we're likely to come less often.
Pre-theater. Very accommodating of our schedule.
Not my first time here, so obviously they’re doing something right! Actually, one of the most creative kitchens in NY.
