Our server Daniela was fantastic. We enjoyed our thanksgiving dinner. Food was awesome!
it was good overall, the food was excellent, service was spotty.
Lovely staff, great view when the sun sets. Food was good.
One of the best restaurants in New York City.
It was a pleasure to enjoy Thanksgiving at comfortable Lincoln Ristorante. Just re-opened, the staff is doing everything they can to welcome patrons back.
Excellent food and service. Great setting. Glad that Lincoln is back!
It’s great to welcome back Lincoln Ristorante. Our dinner was delicious, relaxed, and elegant. The pasta and the branzino were super. The olive oil cake for desert was a knockout! Go and enjoy. This place gives our neighborhood a much deserved lift.
What a disappointment! We loved eating at Lincoln in pre-COVID times and were excited to learn that it had re-opened recently. Unfortunately, the entire experience was not what we had come to expect from Lincoln. Service was chaotic and unprofessional and the food was unappealing. I understand that these are challenging times for restaurants but we will not be returning there anytime soon.
Beautiful restaurant in the center of Lincoln center, great food. Before an opera or a concert or just fine dinning on the upper west.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We appreciate you and are eager to serve you and your guests in the future.
The service was slow. Not sure if there were understand or gave too many tables to my waitress. I had to wait a lot for refill of water, getting her attention was tough. The food was good, the location was beautiful. No at hostess station asked if I was vaccinated or asked to see proof of vaccination, that was very disappointing.
Asked for a window table. But alas no…I was facing another table at a window. My husband was facing the glass walled kitchen. Server very professional and pleasant. Caccio Pepe was a lil tasteless. Eggplant side dish and broccoli rabe side dish very tasty. Veal saltambucco bland and tasteless. Olive oil lemon cake delish as was chocolate cake. Location location location if you are seeing LCT performance. I will try again.
We were there to celebrate a friend's milestone birthday. The service provide by our server made us regret our decision to choose this restaurant. He was rude and seemed distracted the entire time. When our food came out and one of the dishes was too salty to taste, he offered no compassion and simply said "we will take care of it", then walked away not offering any alternatives. After complaining to the Manager, and when he came back to our table as we ordered additional drinks; he rolled his eyes and walked away. The Manage did the right thing by switching out the server with Daniella; who was outstanding. Food and drinks were subpar and disappointing considering the price and prestige of this location.
The service was slow and the food was just poor
Very pretty atmosphere, attentive staff and unbelievably convenient for Lincoln Center ticket holders but the food is just OK, definitely not a flavorful meal to remember.
The restaurant just re-opened and was very busy when we got there.
Right now the menu is limited with few choices for main dishes. While the special of the night, monk fish, was excellent, the standard entree of veal was OK, but bland and unexciting.
The service was slow and left a lot to be desired, we had to request the menus, no drink were offered, and a request was forgotten and only came after asking again.
I know that waiters are in short supply now and new ones are being broken in; so I hope that the restaurant will regain it's former excellence.
Got there 30 minutes before our reservation to get a drink at the bar first and couldn't because the bar was "fully committed", so stood outside for a while until a seat opened up, they said it was because there was one bartender. When we sat for our reservation, we ordered sparkling water but they poured still, then they corrected it and changed to sparkling and then later poured still into the sparkling. Our bottle of wine took 20 minutes to come, our side dishes came out 10 minutes after our entrees, the whole thing took forever and was unimpressive. This is usually a place we've gone for special dinners- I know everyone is experiencing issues with finding staff, but it was a bummer to pay such prices for a not great experience.
Arrived at 6.15 for a 6.15 reservation. Had to wait till 6.35 for the table, and that was only because we insisted. My branzino looked good, but tasted majorly bland. My wife was disappointed with her veal saltimbocca. My dessert was acceptable. The waiter did not bring the bread to the table until we asked for it. Such a shame that a wonderful spot like this one, with a readymade customer base, should be of this poor quality in terms of both food and customer experience.
Alas another of my favorite restaurants has gone downhill after the pandemic
Last night was an opera night. when we arrived the place was jammed & service suffered util they got the opera crowd out. Our drinks arrived after our appetizer, for example. It’s expensive but the food is excellent.
I’m happy to be able to give a really good review for Lincoln Ristorante. I’ve always enjoyed the food here, and they seem to have any service issues connected with their recent reopening totally resolved. We had to make a curtain at Lincoln Center and were able to have a very leisurely meal and still be early to the play. Lovely experience.
Good was great as was service…only complaint was a 3 oz glass is wine…could have been a bit more!
"Trofie" was the most delicious pasta I have ever enjoyed. Incredible! Also, the squash soup is not to be missed. Truly one of New York's best special occasion restaurants, especially if a Lincoln Center performance is to follow.
The drinks were amazing but the limited entree selection I didn’t like. The service was the best and the atmosphere was amazing. Would def recommend for a date night to me friends and coworkers
I love goign there... and the company was greatg (John Varvatos!!)
Your hostess are more than charming too.
So happy that Lincoln has reopened; it’s always been one of my favorites. The menu is much smaller than it was in the past, though there are still plenty of choices. The staff seems to have completely changed, but the new staff members are very good and seem to be getting used to their roles. I was there two weeks in a row and ordered the exact same things; I would say it was all much better in the first week, so the kitchen seems to still be finding its consistency. I’m hopeful that things continue to move forward there, as it will always be a place I like to visit.
We have eaten here pre-Covid. Current menu limited to only 4 entrees. Music loud, rock and intrusive to easy conversation. Ordered wine from wine list not in stock. Sommelier suggested 'comparable' wine without naming price, which was 20% higher. After initial pour, he never returned to refill our glasses. Birthday dessert was a nice touch. Current version needs improvement...
Pre theatre, exited on time, chicken needed more sauce but the rest was great
Lovely evening visiting our kids who live in NYC. Cozy booth allowed a nice catch-up and the food and service was wonderful with a view of an again vibrant Lincoln Center.
Veal was fantastic. Menu is quite small but with some gems hidden in there. Service was solid but could have been quicker. Cacio e Pepe was embarrassingly bad for a restaurant of this caliber. Completely untraditional and overcooked. Wine list is solid but limoncello at end of meal came out lukewarm which was quite worrying. Not a bad experience at all, but certainly not what I expected from restaurant like this having had beautiful experiences there in the past.
Our first dinner at "The Lincoln" in 1-1/2 years! Mr. Metcalf's attention to detail makes Lincoln our favorite and most reliable restaurant when only the very best will do. His staff is professional and they anticipated our every request...from seating us at our favorite table, to adding our friend's name to the birthday cake/candle...a very thoughtful touch. Every dish was cooked to perfection, served piping hot, with exquisite presentation. The ambience was warm and relaxing and being able to watch the chefs prepare food in the open-kitchen is always comfortable to see. We look forward to many more dinners at Lincoln and recommend it to our family and friends.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We truly are delighted you enjoyed your experience and we look forward hosting you again soon.
Food has gone downhill, wine list minimal now, service not professional
The food was as usual quite good Th addition of Veal Saltimbocca was very nice. Leave room for the chocolate cake zabliogne. I understand since COVID that finding experienced wait staff has been difficult. Similar experience tonight with slow service
Very disappointing. Loved this place before pandemic. Menu too limited. Food mediocre at best. Service rushed and unprofessional Music too loud and inappropriate for "style" of restaurant. Location and ambiance great. Too Bad.
We enjoyed everything about Lincoln,?and so did our friends, who hadn’t been there before. The menu is small, but each dish is carefully and elegantly prepared. The standout: veal saltimbocca, three thick loin nuggets wrapped with a thin layer of prosciutto. Unforgettable.
An ideal place to go before a concert.
The location is superb. Thé menu is good but could be a little broader.
I think the wine list should be restructure somas to be easier to access.
Room and Food excellent, Service was a bit off and the kitchen timing was really off, long wait for salad, long time between courses, and side dishes ordered with meal arrived at the end of the main course.
Very good food and attentive service.
Menu is so boring and has so few choices. It needs to be more interesting and varied
Very good and friendly environment. Very Good service.
Bottom line the food was great and the service was awful. The waiter actually asked us if we had a show which we did and he even said OK so you’ll need to be out by 645 and we have a 5 PM reservation. At 6:20 for the third time we had to ask where our food was. Just too many things went wrong and it’s really unfortunate because otherwise would be a great place
