The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

Outstanding food and service. Plus at night, the lights make the setting special. Go hungry!
Confusion as to restaurant week. Management said it only offered it for lunch not dinner. I felt the dining area was extremely dark. Difficult to read menu without cell phone flashlight camera. Service was excellent and food was very good
We liked the food as always. Yet this time, no one checked on us whether the food was good or if we need anything else during the dining. It was not like the place was full and they were too busy. Will visit again, but I expect better services next time.
Always a pleasure to dine at Lincoln Ristorante. We were warmly greeted as always. Service and food are top notch every time we eat there. Upscale but not pretentious, very lovely and comfortable environment. Completely enjoyable.
From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we felt like VIPs. The table was outstanding..overlooking the chef and his team. The food and wine was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and they made my husband feel very special. The service was impeccable. We have been to top restaurants around the world and now live in nyc. This is our new favorite. We will be back.
We have been to Lincoln many times since its opening. Sometimes good food sometimes too salty or just not good. We hadn't been for awhile and were very happy to find it was delicious and service was great.
Every dish was creative, complex and delicious, the setting is beautiful and quiet, and the servers were helpful and gracious. We were there for restaurant week, and were treated like honored guests. This is a special spot for brunch or lunch - not just for Lincoln Center ticket holders.
Mediocre Italian place. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but it was definitely not memorable experience. I would say it is a good restaurant if you are there only for business occasion because the service is absolutely professional and amazing
Date night!!! Great
Went during restaurant week so the value was good. The food was very good. The problem
was the the service, or lack of it. We were three ladies who were consistently ignored.
Had to request everything , menus and had to call someone so we could order and so it went.
The only good service we had was from the young lady who faithfully refilled our water glasses.
Did bring the matter to the attention to the manager, Paul, when we left. He apologized and said he will
follow up with the people responsible for our section.
Impeccable service, great food in a fantastic setting adjacent to the reflecting pool. Attentiveness of service staff is amazing.
We had the Restaurant Weeks menu: delicious and very different pasta e fagiole, 5-minute egg on polenta with Brussels sprouts, remarkable crispy-skinned Arctic char, and spaghetti carbonara. Generous portions and all were delicious.
I find this a lovely restaurant when attending a performance at Lincoln Ctr however despite dining there many times and arriving when the restaurant is less than full we are always seated at a less than optimal table. Our request to move is granted but it’s frustrating to be given a poor table.
Great Meal - Great Welcoming and caring staff
One problem this otherwise excellent restaurant has is that since they raised their prices and switched to a 2-course prix fixe, they've added an extra I guess to make the new menu a bit more palatable, if I may use the term. They've always had excellent extras, like their focaccia and amuse bouche, and their tiny pastries at the end. But since they switched to a 2-course menu (with a reasonable $10 extra for dessert), they sometimes serve sherbert to those who don't order dessert. The only trouble seems to be that you never know whether you're going to get the sherbert or not. They don't tell you that free sherbert is a possibility, so those who order dessert do so in ignorance of what they may be giving up. But if you don't order dessert (as we never have), sometimes you get the sherbert and sometimes you don't, perhaps depending on the waiter, perhaps on something else. Last time we were there, we ordered neither dessert nor coffee, and no sherbert appeared. Perhaps you need to order coffee to get the sherbert, perhaps not. But the uncertainty and lack of clarity on this point is not a good thing, and is why I gave the restaurant four rather than five stars this time.
Evening at the theatre.
Always a pleasure and full of little surprises and unusual mixtures of northern Italian food! Happy place to begin before opera !
I always enjoy dining at the Lincoln Ristorante. I attend the Opera quiet a bit and try to reserve the Lincoln each time for dinner before.
Thank you for being a trusted and fabulous experience.
Fantastic. Great service. Amazing locations. Lots of fun.
Dinner at Lincoln Ristorante was an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is in an attractive modern space with a large open kitchen. By virtue of adequate spacing of the tables, the noise level is low. The food is good, and the menu, though not large, offers enough choice - to some extent an excessive attempt to be different. The service is friendly and for the most part efficient, but for a first class restaurant at its price level lacking in polish. After serving three out of four entrees, one person was left waiting until his entree arrived appreciably later, admittedly with an apology. A side dish of eggplant for the table arrived even later. On the other hand, the wishes and needs of a vegetarian at our table were well accommodated with much patience.
Two birthdays and an anniversary
Just a heads-up for people reading this review: The Lincoln Ristorante has raised its prices considerably, from $66.00 for two courses to $79.00 for two courses. As before, the extras make the prices easier to take: delicious focaccia with a creamy ricotta and honey spread, an amuse bouche of arancini, sorbet with a granola crumble (which they won't tell you about until after you've decided whether or not to pay an extra $10 for dessert) and two tiny but very tasty pasticerrie, often just before you are about to leave. So the two courses actually make an ample and satisfying meal.
Always excellent food and service.
Lincoln always delivers. The food is wonderful and the service excellent. Kudos to Christian for making this recent meal even more special. Smores dessert is the best way to finish the meal. Thank you for another great dining experience.
Excellent service! I'm an Italian food snob, so very picky about Italian cuisine-- the salad, bread, breadsticks, steak, vegetables were wonderful. My pasta dish was pretty good, not great. The dessert was awesome! If you are attending an event at Lincoln Center they are very attentive and make sure you are finished dining on time.
We really appreciate Lincoln as it provides very good food and service in a very nice space that is quiet enough to have a conversation. That is very rare in NYC.
Very special pre-theater restaurant with exceptional service and a marvelous kitchen. Very welcoming, never rushing, always a treat. The sommelier was right on in her recommendations, and a special request to reduce the spiciness of a dish was met precisely. We will return when we have another event at Lincoln Center.
Excelente desde todo punto de vista. Muy agradable lugar, tranquilo, excelente atención y muy buen servicio y comida.-
The food was very good, well presented, & the wine recommendations were spot on! My lobster salad ($6 supplement to prix fixe) was a unique &btasty blend of flavors. The Tagliarini with peeky toe crab was delicious, but too salty. My husband's duck breast was perfect & beautifully cooked. A bit expensive for what is basically Italian food, but it was good.
The food and service were exquisite! Well worth it.
The setting is beautiful. Similar to the modern at the moma. Professional friendly staff. One of our group was gluten intolerant and the restaurant provided excellent substitutes. Will go again even without the symphony. In summary, lincoln restaurant is a treat. R OConnor
The waiter had a cavalier attitude.
Beautiful presentation and wonderfully prepared food for every course. The prix fixe was quite expensive for New Year's Eve, but the ambiance and food were excellent. Definitely a splurge, especially if you add wine/cocktails on top, but it was a great experience overall.
We chose Lincoln for the convenient location. Our concert at the Philharmonic was to begin at 7:30 so, in spite of unenthusiastic reviews and the price, we booked a table. We spent an entirely delightful time. Service was friendly and efficient. The captain was very helpful as we dithered about what to order....beginning with the wine. All of his suggestions were spot on...including a simple salad that was not on the menu. My duck was delicious...as was my friend’s. She’d asked to have it medium not medium rare. My husband cleaned the plate of short ribs! We all had the chocolate dessert...and all loved the accompanying egg nog ice cream. The tables are well spaced. We could hear each other without shouting! AND we were reminded of the time at seven, gracefully. It was a perfect start to a beautiful New Year’s Eve.
As always, a great meal and a great wine at Lincoln. And a real treat on New Year's Eve.
Small portion sizes, high prices, not a lot of options. Waiter was not very helpful. Felt stuffy.

Terrific dinner - good food, wine, service!
It’s very inconvenient that you changed the menu and now we can only choose two courses for $79 for everybody. We love your restaurant for small portions, outstanding food and service but it’s really important for us to choose courses one by one just exactly what we like, not ordering from only deals offers. Sometimes I just want to have two appetizers or a couple of appetizers for sharing and then main course or in other orders. We don’t like that now we just have to choose from deals.
