Beautiful restaurant looking over Lincoln center with sleek interior design. Great food and service. Alas we were there the weekend before the NYC restaurant world crashed. We hope it makes it back
Dining during the Corona crisis; staff was very attentive.
Date and I are vegans and the kitchen prepared a very nice pasta entree.
Ambiance is great
Every visit to Lincoln is delight. The atmosphere is sleek, yet comforting. Each member of the staff was charming, attentive and knowledgable and adds to the delight of uniquely prepared dishes.
An absolute favorite of mine.
My fault for not researching better, I was very disappointed to book at this restaurant only to find out that i had no choice but to have a 2 Course Prix Fixe. My friend was hungry, but i unfortunately had a late lunch and desired just an entree salad. I felt forced into having a large meal...and worse, the appetizers were all meaty with no real salads on the menu. After my begging for salad, they finally came up with some mixed leaves, without dressing! so i was stuck eating just plain lettuce.
On a good note, the pistachio crusted cod and beets were excellent. I just wished it could have been an option that i could have chosen. Only go here if you wished to spend a lot of money and are truly hungry.
Good food imaginatively prepared served efficiently. Outstanding location some sauces abit extravagant.Staff friendly.
Really terrific-wish we had clued in earlier-great food, well-curated wine list...& fun chairs! Find Claudio & choose a terrific bittle to go with the amazing foid...
Friendly, attentive service throughout the meal. Crispy chicken on brunch prix-fixe was delicious. It’s always a special treat to dine at the Lincoln.
Three of us came back for the second time to enjoy dinner before Met’s performance.
This is a very well operated restaurant
with vibrant atmosphere, yet warm professional service crew.
I’m usually not a big fan of red meat, however, the one they prepare here is one of my favorite. My girl friend (who introduced me this restaurant) and my daughter both loved their choice, uniquely made ravioli.
Our money well spent.
This was a great restaurant to have a pre theatre meal before going to an evening performance at the Metropolitan. My wife and I were there to celebrate my birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary. The quality of the food was excellent as was the service. Whilst the service was extremely efficient, the staff were mindful that we had an evening opera to attend, we did not feel rushed at any time. This is a top end restaurant, perfect for a special occasion and we would certainly love to return .
Always great food and service. Never have seen it so quiet.
Pricey, but delicious in every way. Great ambiance, great service, great food.
Beautiful location, excellent food and service. Please recognize it is a Prix Fix for either $79 for 2 or $89 for 3 selections. Well worth the price.
Everything here is expensive but first rate. Just be aware that pre-theater requires a two-course prix fixe at $79 (with an option for adding dessert). The service is excellent, and at our last visit the host went above and beyond to make sure some gift coupons were handled in the most advantageous manner. This is our restaurant of choice when we attend a performance at Lincoln Center.
We were a party of 8. Took a long time to get my drink and then it was prepared wrong. I ordered the only salad on the menu. It was very bitter with very little dressing. Everyone else liked their appetizers, especially the meatballs. Dinners were delicious — especially the branzino, cod, and pastas. We shared two desserts which were very good. But the service was slow and unfriendly. Your wait staff, which seems enormous, never smiles or seems glad to be working there!! We have been here often and never see the same staff. It is way too formal and stiff.
Thank you! I always enjoy dining at Lincoln Ristorante and have ever since it opened its doors. I had the pleasure of dining there 3/1/20. Laurie, the gracious and professional restaurant manager, sat me near the window with a view of the Henry Moore sculpture pool which only added to the already casual elegant ambiance. I started with Minestrone Ai Frutti Di Mare (Gulf Shrimp, Nantucket Bay Scallops, Little Neck Clams, Crustacean Broth, Grilled Ciabatta), followed by Polpette Di Vitello (Veal-Ricotta Meatballs, Anson Mills Polenta, Cremini Mushrooms, Black Truffle-Veal Jus) and ended with Lumache Con Guazzetto Di Polpo (Octopus Braised with Tomato, Fennel, Fresh Oregano, Pecorino Fiore di Sardo). I finished the light, rich ministrone, had one totally delicious meatball so that I could have room for the superb lumache of which I ate half. I had a wonderful lunch today! I had no dessert. Christian, my captain, recommended the lumache and was gracious, Daniella, my back server was efficient and attentive, Sterling, the account manager and Shannon, reception, were friendly and helpful as well. Last and far from least, kudos to Chef Shea Gallante and the kitchen crew for a truly excellent meal perfectly prepared and presented!
Lincoln is always a special treat. Great food and ambiance.
Really enjoyed the food and service.
This convenient and beautiful restaurant in Lincoln Center is always outstanding. Pricey but not for the incredible meal and ambience ...so worth it!
Food, service, ambiance and service were topnotch. The team went above and beyond to find something--homemade caramels to bring out for my manager's birthday seeing as she did not want to order dessert.
We had lunch here during Restaurant week, and the food and service was very good.
The value outstanding. We have had lunch here when it was not Restaurant week and when the prix-fix lunch menu had been removed. At that time the food and service was equally wonderful. However, the value was not as good. Very expensive. It's a shame they have removed the piix-fix menu.
In addition to good food I enjoy the space between tables which provides for private conversations.
Lincoln seems to be on a slight upswing in terms of the cooking, as compared to our last dinner there about six months ago. Sadly, though, the place remains a bit stuck and unable to reach the quality it achieved at its peak. That said, it's a good option near Lincoln Center and the staff members are all nice.
The food, service, ambiance and location for Lincoln center events are all excellent. Unfortunately, the do not offer a la carte dining, you must order the Prix Fixe unless you want to sit at the bar which only has about ten seats.
Nevertheless, this is a very fine restaurant, the cost is high but you get what you pay for here.
Appetizers and pastas were fantastic, as was the wine pairing with the meal. However the entrees were disappointing.
Once again enjoyed the extended Restaurant Week menu. Ordered different things. Equally good.
We sat at a booth without adequate lighting. It was so dark, one of our guests could not see her food. In addition, we waited over 25 minutes for our entree’s.
We’re not sure what happened this visit because usually our time in this restaurant is a wonderful experience
I loved the restaurant. However You Guys sent the wrong time.
They called me at 5:30 and the reservation was for 6:30.
Then they called me again and the reservation was sent at 6:00 pm.
I was stressed out trying to find the place.
Lincoln is a lovely restaurant with delicious, well-prepared food in a sleek, modern elegant setting. It’s a wonderful choice before or after a performance at Lincoln Center or for any special occasion. They have a large and dedicated staff who are mostly very gracious and solicitous. That said, on occasion service could be better. Our server did not ask if we wanted to coffee with dessert and when I inquired he said he thought his colleague had asked when she brought the dessert.
Also, for an expensive, high end restaurant they do some odd things. For example, we ordered our custom negronis “up” which is listed on the menu as available “up or on the rocks”. The only price listed on the cocktail menu for the negroni is $20. When the bill came the charge for the negronis was $22 each. When I inquired the server told us it was an “up charge” of $2 for having the drink “up”. If you feel the need to do that - and when the cocktail is already $20 you shouldn’t need to - at least list the up charge on the menu.
It’s always a lovely experience at Lincoln, but little things like that rankle.
We had a lovely dinner after the Met Opera Saturday matinee. One of our party of three had a train to catch, and our servers were meticulous about making sure that she could finish her dinner without rushing and still have plenty of time to catch her train.
Always an outstanding dining experience which never disappoints.
Lincoln has extended Restaurant Week menu until end of February. Offered a delicious lunch with reasonable wine options. Service was great.
I had a wonderful experience at Lincoln. The staff, starting with the hostess and throughout the meal, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The food was excellent and they have a fine wine list from which to select. Seating is comfortable and properly spaced so you can carry on a conversation with out straining to hear or to speak. Outstanding experience and I will look forward to returning soon.
What a pricey outstanding restaurant. The very definition of "you get what you pay for". Where else could you get Octopus ragu with homemade pasta in a fabulous sauce. Unique! Save up and go for a very special occasion. It will make it even more special!
Terrific. After a long and tiring afternoon it was a perfect and comfortable place to relax. Cocktails were delicious. Food was delicious and service beautifully timed .
Excellent sommelier and the 3 course meal was the perfect amount of deliciousness!
A friend and I had the 2course price fixe menu—all four items were delicious. We found the quantities a bit large, however, and the menu lacked some of the lovely salad offerings we’ve enjoyed in previous visits. The menu seemed a bit heavier in general, but that may be a choice for the colder winter weather.
This is a fabulous restaurant - and would be even if it did not have the added feature of being part of Lincoln Center. The service is perfect and the food is exceptional! I have recommended it to many and have been there often. No-one is ever disappointed.
Food was especially disappointing but service and ambiance were very good. However, since I go for the food I probably won’t return. I’ve dined at Lincoln at least a dozen times and the food has become rather ordinary.
Great lunch before the ballet!
We have eaten here many times for dinner. Always a favorite when we attend performances at Lincoln Center. This time we took advantage of the 2 course brunch. White bean soup was delicious, not thick. The spaghetti carbonara was out of this world. Paired with wine it was a spectacular afternoon meal.
