Italian
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. Our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool and the Henry Moore sculpture is exquisite, with panoramic views of the campus.

The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

My bolognese was terrific. My salmon was good, not special. The warm tomato salad was sweet/sour. Didn't go well with the salmon and not to my taste. I didn't eat it. The foccacia is divine as was the ricotta with olive oil that came with it. Dessert was average. Uneven experience, but would definitely try again. Very convenient if attending a performance at Lincoln Center.

First, I made the reservation as Open Table based on the information that entrees cost between $31-50. When we arrived we discovered that the meal was prix fixe and the cost without wine, dessert or appetizers would be $100 per person (with tax and tip). This was for two courses.

To make matters worse, my entree came with a 18” hair embedded in the dish! While the management acted appropriately and comped the meal - it was startling for a rather expensive venue.

Open Table needs to put accurate information on the app. Next time, I will walk out!!

Lincoln is a consistently perfect restaurant for dinner either before or after a show. The wait staff is top notch. Abdullah was a perfect host for our table. The crescent shaped booths are ideal for privacy. At 5:30, ambient noise was at a minimum. Bravo!.

Recently one on our party has significant food allergies but the staff and kitchen accommodated flawlessly and creatively

Absolutely disappointing. The Cavatelli with fresh peas was floating in a bowl of liquified butter. In 2019?? You’re kidding me! The Octopus was unrecognizable- what was that I just ate? It was also tasteless. Lincoln’s chef needs to come to my neighborhood restaurant in Rumson NJ, Undici, to find out what high grade delicious Octopus tastes like. I think Lincoln is covering up low quality ingredients with a lot of pomp and circumstance, as in “never mind the man behind the curtain”. You’ve got this outstanding location, surreal and fabulous architecture, sensational artists on all the stages so the food can be awful? Do you get away with it because you have a captive audience?

The location and ambience are tops. But I hate the new mandatory prix fixe,, which is $86/per person. It's expensive and inflexible. As for the food, I remember it being lighter and tastier. Very heavy, buttery sauces, I thought.

Bring back a la carte. Otherwise, I'll find other options in area in future.

Outstanding evening overall! The service was impeccable and the food was divine! Started off with a glass of rose` and could have (should have) stopped at the homemade focaccia and mouth watering ricotta cheese, coarse salt and honey spread. Not a crumb was left to be spared. The crudo hamachi to start and the buratta with grilled zuchinni and peppers was incredible. I dove into the orecchiette and never tasted anything better. The pasta was cooked to perfection -al dente and the sauce was perfection- so flavorful filled with lamb bacon, beans sun dried tomatoes and a few other surprises. My dinner companion thoroughly enjoyed his pasta dish which was filled with fresh shrimp and clams. We wish we had room for the tiramisu for two but we were off to the ballet. We will be back! Perhaps after the ballet for dessert. Those comfortable leather covered swivel chairs makes one want to linger longer!

My sister and I splurged on a pre-theater al fresco lunch - just a glass of wine and a pasta dish each - but were treated like princesses. The wine and food were perfectly delicious and seated outside on such a beautiful day, with wonderful service and a view of all the activity at the Revson Fountain by Lincoln Center, we enjoyed lunch all the more.

We, my wife and I, ate outside. It was lovely. The food was very good.
That being said I’d like the management to know that we are not happy with the price fixe approach you recently adopted. . We live in the neighborhood and have been regulars at Lincoln coming once every two months or so.
We like to be able to order a la carte. One of the main appeals of Lincoln is the beautiful setting whether inside or outside. We do not always want to have full-blown gourmet dinner. an appetizer and a fish/meat entree. Sometimes we get the eggplant and a pasta, for example. Sometimes we order a three course meal. We like restaurants to be flexible and accommodating. We hope you will discontinue the prix fixe approach, in which we continue to be regulars at Lincoln.

From the moment we were greeted at the door the entire experience was enchanting. The servers brought us a delicious amuse bouche and excellent foccacia with a whipped ricotta and honey spread. My pasta with clams was fabulous. I tasted the yummy ravioli as well. My daurade, simply prepared with olive oil and pesto, was delicious. The accompanying salad with olives was wonderful. The other diners that accompanied us were equally impressed. The service was impeccable. We can't wait to return.

We have often gone to the Lincoln Ristorante before a performance at Lincoln Center and been delighted with the food and service. This time, however, the menu has changed, and instead of a choice of prix fixe for two or three courses, there is only one choice -- for two courses (at the price previously for three) plus a complementary sorbet. This actually compounds the problem of having too much to eat (with a delicious bread serving and amuse bouche at the beginning together with the sorbet and a small pastry at the end. Nice to have all those freebies, but with two lately rather large courses, it's a lot on one's plate. Of course, one need not eat it all, but it is all delicious. I think all of us would have preferred the old system of choosing the two-course menu and forgoing the dessert entirely. (You can, by the way, order a regular dessert for an extra $10.00, but why anyone would do that in addition to the sorbet and pastry is beyond me.)

The Lincoln began insisting on the prix fixe a few years ago with the excuse that it makes it easier to get patrons out in time for the theater. And in fact, the Lincoln used to have a problem with that. Occasionally, we would be finishing the last course a few minutes before curtain time, without an opportunity for coffee or a moment to digest the food. Once the second course was so late that we refused it and got a free meal the next time we came. But this time, even with the prix fixe, we finished the second course only 15 minutes before curtain time (though we requested 30 minutes), refused coffee, and then got served the complementary sorbet and pastry without sufficient time to eat them. Hopefully, this was a one-time thing and not an indication that the bad old days are returning, even with a more limited prix fixe!

A meal at this elegant restaurant is an exquisite experience, with or without Lincoln Center performance tickets. Spacious, bright, airy, quiet ambience; professional and warm service; tasty, creative cuisine. The prix fixe choices are satisfying and the prices no higher than one should expect at such a high-class venue. (The cocktails at $17, though, are stretching the limits a bit.)

It was a dreadful experience.. absolutely no atmosphere and dreadful service. Very expensive with no fixe price lunch on a weekday. I requested a window table... at first we were seated in the back room and when I re requested a window table in the front, brighter area I was told it was not possible to have a window table despite the fact that several were free and appeared unbooked as they were not used during our lunch.Dishes were served with absolutely no explanations. I will never go back to this restaurant. A waste of time and money.

Used to be a favorite local go-to stand-by! Food was always good to very good and the service was very pleasant and non-intrusive. However, this has taken a turn for the worse, much worse The food has become tasteless, bland and unimaginative. This has happened since they moved to a prix fixe or table d'hôte menu. The meat I was served was so tough I couldn't cut it with the very fancy steak knife, it was unedible. Duck meatballs, no salt. Carrots were mush. Asked for a wine list, took a very long time to get one and the rest of the service was lackadaisical at best. The olives in my martini were half-rotted. The dessert, tiramisu, was an alcohol bomb, couldn't taste anything else.
And worst of all the restauranteur was sitting next to us the whole time and was completely oblivious to all that was and WASN'T going on at our table. This is a place that has lost its way, maybe they'll find their way again. I can certainly tell you the conversation next to us wasn't about the culinary arts but revenue and EBITDA - - not very appetizing!

My friend and I had a 6:30pm reservation and when they asked whether we had theater tickets I said no. The service was very rushed at the start of the meal. Our appetizers came as soon as the bread. When we were not even half way into our appetizers, the server came and asked if I was finished. I was stunned as most of the dish remained uneaten and I was actually eating. I asked him to take a look at my plate and he just left without apologizing. The rest of the meal was uneventful until the check came. The same server handed my friend’s card back to her and referred to her as “Mrs. [ ].” She is not a “Mrs.”. This server definitely didn’t seem to belong at the Lincoln. He tapped his feet while taking our order, was unaware of how we were progressing with our meals and referred to a customer in an odd way. This service definitely dampened the dining experience.

The food was very good. I live in the area and like the space and proximity, but bad (and irritating) service is probably enough for me to not come back.
