About Lincoln Ristorante
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. While our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool and the Henry Moore sculpture is exquisite, the panoramic views and grass lawn roof are sure to impress.
The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

Lincoln Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
great food and service , we were seated at a nice table for five people and although we have never dined there before we were treated very special . This was my wife's birthday and they had a nice candle with her desert . I really recommend this restaurant
we had the prix fixe which as great value
On pre-theater, you got to watch them like a hawk. We were seated at 6:15, informed the wait-staff we had a 7:30 curtain & ordered promptly. Starters came in timely manner. My friend & I got involved in conversation, and when we looked at our watches -- bang, it was 7 PM, no main course in site. Alerted wait-staff, who went scurrying & when they set down plates at nearly 7:10, said, "We'll bring your bill right away."
Love the place, but next time I'll be more vigilant.
The food and service at our Sat evening dinner, after the pre-theater crowd had left, were excellent. The wine pairing, however, was an outrageous price($46) for what amounted to a total of about 6 ounces of wine. DON'T BOTHER with the pairing. Order glasses on your own.
Otherwise, we appreciated the creativity in the food and attractive plating.
Went for a pre-opera meal on Saturday night with 3 other people. I was prepared to dislike the service and love the food based on other reviews. However, the service was absolutely amazing, attentive without being annoying and upscale without being snooty. We were dressed in black tie and did not feel overdressed. The restaurant appears to have paid attention to reviews regarding timing for pre-performance dinner and now only offers prix fixe dining on theater nights. While it was a long meal, the waiter made sure to get our preferred departure time prior to ordering. Cocktails were perfect and the restaurant is luxurious and beautiful inside, with very comfortable but pretty seating. I would describe the staff as all very genuinely sweet.
Especially before a performance, it was very rich food. Even the vegetarian options were a bit heavy. Some lighter fare (not a $ issue, a taste issue) options would be good. Not a health nut, would just like more salad and meat-free options. The beet salad and risotto were both very nice but they were my only choice. However, the amuses-bouches (sp?), breadsticks and focaccia were delicious and generous. My sister was a little grossed out by the whole animals in her seafood stew, and while we did not expect to return it based on our own poor choice, the waiters were very concerned and brought us a beautiful dessert we did not expect. Even if I hated the food (I didn't), I would go back based on the excellent service and ambiance. Everyone from the maitre d' to the busboy was just lovely. I can make my own food if that's all I care about at a restaurant--this place made our night special and you can't beat it for proximity to the opera. Don't arrive any later than 6:30 if you have an 8pm and don't want to rush.
When we see an opera at the Met, we come to this restaurant for a lovely dinner with excellent food, service, cocktails and wine, all in a unique glassed-in architecturally designed space that provides gorgeous views of Lincoln Center. We find it elegant, smart, and tasty. Worth repeat visits!
The food was good. But the service was very slow. We booked this restaurant because we had a concert at Lincoln Center. We ordered a pre theater menu 90 minutes before the show and we almost missed the concert and we had to eat our deserts in five minutes and rush out. We waited for 30 minutes between appetitzers and main courses and we had to ask a few times what was going on.
We eat at Lincoln whenever we go to the NY Philharmonic. This time we had dinner on New Years Eve before the concert. As usual the service was excellent and we ordered the wine pairings with dinner that were perfectly matched. The dinner choices were fabulous and the chocolate dessert was devine. One of our favorite restaurants in the NY area
The service was truly aweful.
6 of us arrived on time, pre Opera meal.
Waited over an hour to get started.
Our main course including side dishes was served less than 5 minutes before we left.
The food was, as always, excellent.
However we had no time to eat it.
The food and service were first rate as usual, however, I don't understand why bar seating has access to the full menu, while regular seating is limited to the pre-theater menu until 7:00 P.M. I have been told that the change was made to insure that all theater patrons are served timely, however, an expensive restaurant of this caliber should be able to manage to do that without limiting the menu. If I am not attending the theater on a Saturday night and want an early seating, I'm certainly not going to choose Lincoln with its limited menu.
This is an outstanding NYC restaurant on the level of Gotham or Jean Georges. It is odd to say that a Lincoln Center restaurant is a hidden gem, but it is. The view onto the fountain and into the glasss-surround kitchen is beautiful, as is the layout and sloped architecture. There are an abundance of young servers , but each is polite, non intrusive, and very perceptive. Value for a four course pre theater menu was outstanding (about $125 including a glass of wine). The food was outstanding in presentation, ingredients, and composition. Scallops were perfectly seared with deliciously acid accompanying greens and a puree. Pasta was perfectly al dente, and appropriately sauced. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Desserts and bread, as in all outstanding restaurants, was as good as the other dishes. A rare night when each dish was excellent, and when ambiance and service matched the food. I will be back before concerts.
the 7 fishes was ?interesting? a little too cute I thought...
My son's special 7 taste menu though was excellent selected by the captain...
I did find it very dark and really had trouble seeing the food! not good...even with an additional candle!!!
The staff were really lovely and fun...made xmas eve very special for us!
oh,... an addition to the tasting menu...the fish...could have had some type of in between to clear the palate...would have been a nice touch
