Great restaurant. Excellent food and wait stage. So.,,, this is kind of a family style share of what they call small plates. Wait staff suggests 2 to 3 plates per person. I would order a couple at a time One it the plates was actually good for 5 people. Some like a lot of food Those who just want to fill up and stuff yourselves, go for it. But those who eat healthy then order slowly. Restaurants like the tend to sell up in my opinion.
Happy hour specials can only be redeemed at the bar. You can also not order special items listed on the table. Not sure why since it was advertised on the table. Server would not bring me the drink said I had to order it at the bar. The food was great. Pricy but I didn’t mind because it was delicious.
Great food but it is small portion tapas. Not a large menu but our pot pie and salmon were delicious. Fun atmosphere and the bar seemed like a popular spot.
Overall good experience just thought the server was a little slow to take orders and lacked enthusiasm in general.
Service was not good. The whole small plates thing just makes you order more food than you need.
Buffet seems overpriced and although the quality of the food was there, they lack on customer service, no smiles from the hostess to the waiter, even though it was very slow.
Croque Madame was good and the beef and polenta breakfast was really good, it comes with a garden salad but that was bland. Would not go again.
Great service, decor and cocktails. Food was ok with the exception of the broccoli soup. This was excellent.
This place was recommended by a friend. My daughter ordered the N.Y. strip which was terrible. Full of fat, cold and not a good cut. I informed the waiter and he didn’t say anything, just nodded. He also didn’t do anything for her. My risotto was very good but because of her experience I will not go back. If you can’t do steak well, then don’t have it on your menu. There was really a lack of options for her as it was.
Never a disappointment. We've been to Lincoln now about 4-5 times and every time they nail it. Make sure you take a look around the place and discover little gems in the art and details. Their sister restaurant, Teddy, is wonderful too.
good food but steak/frites was not hot when delivered to table.
Lincoln was absolutely fantastic! We’re from PA and we’re looking for a nearby place to grab a late dinner and drinks and couldn’t have picked a better place!!! Kadeem was absolutely fantastic- full of humor, knowledgeable about the menu (especially enlightening out of towners about the way the service works)! The food was absolutely amazing too! If you’re a Lincoln president fanatic like I am, you’ll love this place! Penny wall & bar, pennies in the floor, Lincoln themed is an understatement. We can’t recommend Lincoln enough and especially Kadeem, who made our dining experience nothing short of amazing!
Ther service was fantastic! The food was great. Such a fun place to go have American tapas
Waiter was very personable but service was extremely slow. Couldn’t tell if it was a kitchen problem or a server problem. I ordered two small plates, one of which was a daily special. The special came out lukewarm, and waiter took it back. The replacement wasn’t any warmer and definitely less appealing in terms of plating. The couple next to me received their entrees before their soup so the entrees were sent back. It took 30 minutes to receive the check after requesting. Dessert was very dry. So disappointed because it came highly recommended!
What an amazingly fun spot for Sunday brunch! I'm not sure if it's still a hidden gem though I only discovered the best Brunch Day Party (LOL!) through a friend a few months ago. Each time I've come, the environment is airy and festive...so much fun! The food is excellent, the service impeccable. And having a DJ spinning the most danceworthy tunes tends to get people up and dancing while they munch, creating an uplifting atmosphere. The guests I've brought have never been disappointed and all vow to come back with more friends. I can't wait for the next adventure myself!
Great restaurant highly recommend it food was terrific service was outstanding the ambiance is a winner and the people were all having a good time my cup never ran dry.
This is a great place to go if you're trying to make a really good impression on a third date.
Innovative food combinations, excellent presentation, fresh ingredients, cheerful and helpful waitstaff, fun atmosphere.
Never disappointed, food is consistently good, service great, slightly noisy but you can work around.
Nice spot. Menu offers some tasty combinations. Table services was great and handled scrambling around with the heavy crowd. Host service was distant and made you feel like you're annoying them to get seated. However, still worth the food and table service.
Visited Lincoln on several brunch occasions. Hasn't failed me yet. Cheers to bottomless mimosas!
The food was awful. My sweet potato fries tasted like they had been sitting around and just microwaved, not long enough, before he brought it out to me. The food was really disappointing
Knowledgeable wait staff, great food. Noisy
My boyfriend and I were visiting DC from out of state over the weekend and had the chance to try Lincoln for the first time. We had actually won a package which included a gift certificate to this restaurant so we had quite a bit we were able to spend on our meal that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to. We were informed that most patrons order 2 or 3 plates for dinner, as they are "small plates". We ordered the Parker House Rolls which came with gingerbread butter and were amazing. We both got the mac & cheese which was served in a small skillet, and was one of the best mac & cheese's I've had. My boyfriend purchased a salad which was quite a large size, and the 8oz filet which was cooked perfectly to his liking (medium rare). I ordered the chicken pot pie which was generously filled with chicken , and the sweet potato risotto which was AMAZING! For desert we ordered the Peanut and Jelly which was like a deconstructed PB&J sandwich - great idea but missed a bit on the execution. Our drinks were fabulous and very unique. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Food is served on a rolling basis so it doesn't come out as appetizer, main course, etc. - it comes out hot and fresh as it's ready. The seating is the only thing that throws me off a bit as there are many individual tables, but we were seated where there was a long booth on one end and a chair on the opposite side, so it's a bit too close for comfort to my liking. Overall though, this restaurant was amazing and one of the best meals we have ever had. I'm grateful we had the opportunity to visit Lincoln and appreciate the passion they put into their food and establishment.
I had never heard of this restaurant probably because Lincoln is such a common name in DC, but I am glad to have come upon this place. The food was decent and similar to comfort food tapas. The menu was not very big, but I prefer smaller menus if the items they have are good. The cocktails were tasty and unique. If I am in the area again I would certainly consider returning.
Korean chicken sandwich was totally dry and tasteless.
Awesome spot. Went at dinner and loved the American plate concept. Definitely going back for lunch.
Amazing food and service!
More fun than a barrel of monkeys.
The review needs to be at least 50 characters.
The service was lackluster. I have been here a handful of times and never had this poor of an experience. The food was still great, just going to look at other options going forward because of the service.
LINCOLN doesn't disappoint. The tapas-style food is delicious. The wine/beer selections were quite good, and the staff works hard to keep you happy. Plus the place is always packed (reservations recommended). And where else could you find an Abe Lincoln look-alike to pose for selfies?
I've been to Lincoln several times, but this will be the last. The place was so noisy we couldn't hold a conversation at the table. The food was pretty mediocre - we contemplated sending a couple of items back, but didn't primarily because the service was so atrocious we didn't want to wait an extra hour. The server got our orders wrong, brought one person's salad and another's entree at the same time. Food sort of appeared at random intervals. We had to ask for things that were ordered but not brought out. And then later they tried to serve us stuff we didn't order. Then the server disappeared for about 10 minutes. It appeared he left the restaurant. We had to ask another waiter to get our check. Not a nice evening.
Very tasty fresh food. Small plates, good opportunity to share among table.
Loved loved loved this restaurant ..all the food was fresh and delicious .. fresh mimosas constantly on deck and a great dj ...
Definitely will be returning
A friend recommended Lincoln for a Sunday brunch get together and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is very hip and the decor is a super cool tribute to Abe Lincoln. There's a live DJ mixing the perfect blend of house music throughout brunch. They offer an all you can eat brunch but we didn't take advantage because it was a late reservation and the buffet closes by 3pm. However, I had the Shrimp & Grits and the deviled eggs which were both excellent. My friend had the chicken & waffles which was also excellent. We took advantage of the bottomless mimosa special for $21. Mackenzie was a fantastic server!
I highly recommend but make a reservation!!!
I made this booking with the expectation that it was for Restaurant Week. When we arrived, we were told that RW lunch was not an option and no accommodations were made. This was very misleading since I didn't see any disclaimers about RW lunch not being available on the weekend. The service was mediocre - we waited 10 minutes before a server came by to take our order - and then at the end, the server rushed us to pay the bill.
Lincoln offered a range of small plate options which were locally sources and quite tasty. Our service was excellent with attentive but not overbearing wait staff. This was my second visit and I would definitely book again!
It's not often that I get to write a review where three people had dinner & everyone agreed that the meal, service, & ambience were all outstanding. Lincoln did a great job in all three of these categories & so much more. We were three & hadn't seen each other in while, so this was a really nice get-together. We started at the bar & witnessed waves of patrons coming in for dinner, while others were turned away because they didn't have reservations. Cocktails were exceptional & reasonably priced, but the Restaurant Week menu was the star of the show. All three of us were equally impressed with the pre fixe menu options & the meals were incredible. Our waiter was exquisitely knowledgable of the menu & wine options. It was a fun experience & Lincoln is to be lauded for their outstanding effort.
We went for restaurant week, the place was very busy but we didn't feel ignored. The food was great and the atmosphere was lively and fun.
Comfortable atmosphere. Great service. Food was excellent
VERY noisy. Food ok, nothing spectacular. Service very good.
